Holy shit we actually did it. ironically i would’ve loved him as an assistant but he was not ready for a head coaching gig

  3. I know we’ve talked about it but I didn’t expect to actually see it happen. I can’t blame them after barely beating the Pistons back-to-back games

  4. Skeleboi846

Woah! Was not expecting that. Wonder who’s stepping in as replacement? Prunty for now and then who?

  5. MaleficentHawk590

Nick Nurse coaching tree is turning out to be just Nick Nurse.

  6. PlayboyCartee

Damn i know it’s the right move for us but i feel bad for the guy. He seemed like a genuine soul, hope he doesn’t take this too harshly and can find a career as an assistant or something somewhere.

  7. theconfuserx3

jon horst is the 2nd greatest buck this past decade

  8. DevlopmentlyDisabled

Nick Nurse coaching tree aint doing so hot. Griffin and Bjorkgren both gone instantly.

  9. Boldest19

Fan of another team here…. y’all are 30-13 and second in the East…. why is he getting fired??

  10. Was only a matter of time. I was willing to wait but even my patience was wearing awfully thin

  11. Skeleboi846

Giannis literally drawing up his own play on the bench during the last pistons game is hilarious in hindsight now

  12. Any-Usual377

Giannis finally had enough…even tho he’s the one who picked him for HC

  13. Fresh-Bass-3586

Maybe stotts will come work as an assistant on the offense now.

  14. philokratos1

Since the first time I heard this guy on a podcast I thought he sounded clueless. Then the terry stotts leaving before the season started. This is a smart move

  15. Our-Gardian-Angel

I’m shocked they actually did. They gotta go groveling back to Bud if they want to salvage this season.

  16. Atleast we know we have a GM that’s willing to make the hard decisions.

  17. Reggieheathcliff

Can we all just agree that this was a complete failure? I truly believe everybody wants what’s best for the team on this sub. I just don’t see how anybody watched the first half of the season, saw zero improvement, and still believed in this hire. His decisions were truthfully baffling. Nothing against Adrian Griffin…..the championship window is NOW and the Bucks don’t have time to hold a coaches hand. He wasn’t getting the best out of this roster, simple as that. Let’s go win a championship.

  18. Where does he rank among all time bucks coaches in win % with the team? It’s gotta be up there

  19. ProductIntrepid4675

Bro if we hire GLEN FUCKING RIVERS imma freak fr

  20. But this sub told me there was no way he’d be fired and none of it is his fault.

  21. jagerhero

Doc Rivers has emerged as the favorite to replace per Woj. LMAO

  22. Physical_Pie_2092

I’m glad we did this now and didn’t just coast till end of season

  23. LiveFrmTheGutter

Bill Belichick YOU are a Milwaukee Buck 👏

  24. Tinytimmytimtim

Hahahahaha man so many holier-than thou people on this sub Reddit pretended they were basketball geniuses for ignoring how bad griffin is. Well, clearly the team agrees. No coach gets fired this quickly if they don’t lose the locker room. Turns out needing your players to tell you Brook is better in drop ISNT a sign of competence.

  25. Mustard_Jam

Typical good assistant not good coach.

Hopefully he finds a role somewhere.

  26. Hithere123490

Holy fuck , competent management pulling the trigger.

  27. BRFCarter

I don’t know why the Bucks hired a rookie head coach for a championship ready team in the first place

  28. I predicted a media shitstorm if we did this midseason. Let’s see how the players take it. That’s all that matters, really.

  29. thegabrieldavid

Death, taxes, and Joe Prunty serving as Interim Head Coach for the Milwaukee Bucks

  30. When you barely beat the pistons twice in a row. Enough is enough. Was at the Saturday game and they just looked disorganized and slow on defense. This team needs good scheming on defense given the age and personnel.

  31. AnnoCatulii

Doc Rivers ugh please no…I would take a frenchman who didn’t speak a lick of English over Rivers please please NO.

  32. Magictank2000

budenholzer being asked to take over the rest of the season while they find a genuine long term replacement, and redeems himself with a title finish, subscribe

  33. akaMichAnthony

Wasn’t expecting this, but every time I think they have their “ok, they figured it out” game they follow it with a “we ain’t got shit figured out” game.

As long as they stop that roller coaster before the playoffs, I don’t care who’s in charge.

  34. youngdjango10

Didn’t think there was a chance they’d do this. I stand corrected.

  35. stevenomes

I’m shocked they actually canned him. I figured unless they went into a tailspin and he lost the team he’d at least last one year. Something must have happened internally to get to this point. I can’t believe Horst just did this without some additional input maybe from players. Giannis wanted him so I wonder if he had any influence on this decision as well (not like fire coach but just advising that it wasn’t working). I can’t see it being much better with prunty and we’ve seen how that works out in the past. Wonder if they have someone else in mind.

The moment giannis was drawing up a play on the bench, we all knew , it was the fredo moment.
