Anticipating a formidable display from Loon tonight against Atlanta—anyone else feeling the same? The Dubs, driven by the recent loss of assistant coach Dejan Milojević, are poised for a resolute team effort. Looney’s close bond with Dejan and a standout performance against the Hawks last January adds a poignant touch. Over a year ago, he notched 14 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists, and a game-winning putback shot against Atlanta. Tonight’s game holds profound significance as it marks their first match since the tragic passing of Coach Milojević. Thoughts on Loon’s potential impact in this emotionally charged matchup?

Let these guys play basketball. If they win, it was not because of the death. If they lose, it was not because of the death.
I’ve tried to play after an emotionally draining experience, and let me tell you all that I was terrible. I gave it my all, I tried to focus, but it was like my mind and heart were somewhere else despite my best efforts. I feel pretty strongly that i cost us the game and apologised to the team afterwards. I’ll never forget one teammate who just wouldn’t hear it (I’m looking at you Scotty!) who proclaimed loudly “Win as a team, lose as a team”. He slapped me on my back and we moved on.
There’s a lot more important things in life than ball folks.
No matter the circumstances, I don’t see Looney doing much of anything.
