Some team with offensive woes will just look at our offensive stats and give him a shot this summer.

  2. Maybe I’m just naive but I don’t really think he was a bad coach. He would be better suited with a younger team.

He just didn’t mesh with our boys and they refused to buy in to his defensive scheme.

Its frustrating considering it was working during preseason and the start of the season especially with the younger guys but then the teams effort just stopped and then we reverted to the old scheme and now here we are.

Dude made bank. Coach half a season, get paid for four. Not a bad gig if you can get it.

he’d have been way better off getting to coach a team with low expectations who could offer more patience (and probably a roster that better fits the defensive scheme he wants to run)

He seems like a truly good person, it’s a tough business and I wish nothing but the best for him and his family.

I know nothing about this guy besides his short tenure. I read yesterday that he beat his wife in 2020 and she has been posting about it on FB. As well, his son apparently killed his infant when he was taking care of him over a weekend like two weeks ago and the mother of the child is claiming both AG and his son are responsible. I am not here to shit stir but is there any truth to those claims? It would make a lot more sense for his firing if those are substantiated.

He seemed like a good guy, just struggled to jump into the HC role for the first time in the situation we are in (new players, championship expectations). I feel less bad knowing he’ll make 4 mil a year this year and the next three years. At least he’s rich now.

With a younger, more consistently athletic team he’d be a fine coach. Not a championship guy, and it’s too early in his career to know what kind of identity he can foster in an already competitive team. Wish him the best.
