Today, nobody gives Oladipo or that Pacers team any credit. Someone told me he would have been Levine with better defense and worse offense.

FO’s 2019 decisions rest on the Dipo injury. Had he stayed healthy, would they have traded for Conley? Would they give Sabonis up? Would they have let CoJo, Thad, and Bojan walk? Would they have traded for Brogdon?

I had flashbacks to this when Ty got hurt. In the moment it felt all too familiar.
Vic brought my wife and I back to the Pacers after I stopped caring when Reggie retired (we were IU fans for a while). I will forever be thankful to him for that.
Those years with him were so much fun. I hurt for him that the injury has basically taken away his game. I ain’t even mad that he talked his talk about Indy and then left. He had every right to do what he thought was best for himself. There is no loyalty in Capitalism.
Now, don’t get me started about his “recording career”. Y’all heard that mess? Lawd it’s heinous. I hope he ain’t caterwauling any more.

Safe to say that injury radically changed our future plans and that ultimately led to Haliburton.
Haliburton’s rise to All-NBA level attracted top talent which got us Siakam.
The wild part about all of this? The injury occurred while VO was chasing after a loose ball against… Pascal Siakam.
