Any Lakers deal (Brown or Trent) will mean Hachimura coming back in return + other assets.

Kind of off topic, but my boy saw Bruce Brown at the Ritz-Carlton downtown. He’s living there awaiting a trade.

  3. they can monitor all they want but they don’t have enough assets to make it happen.

I’ll take Reaves and Vincent for Brown. Done.

I love how Dejounte and Bruce are apparently the same.

Trading DJ to the Lakers for scraps after giving up a boatload of picks for him would definitely be a move

  7. Lakers have some decent assets of worth, I’d definitely entertain Reeves and Vincent for GTJ. For Brown with the expectation being FRPs coming back for him I’d probably see if anyone can outbid the lakers in terms of picks and a quality player coming back.

  8. I don’t think Reaves is available.

I’d imagine the Lakers would prioritize getting Murray, but I don’t think they can put together a very good package for him, and they’re probably over-valuing what D-Lo could get back in a three-way trade.

My guess is that the best package we could get from the Lakers would be Rui and a 2029 first. That fits the bill of a “quality player” and a first. The 2029 pick is a long way away, but it’s still an asset.

The additional contract could be JHS, Christie, Vanderbilt, or Prince.

It would really depend on how our front office values Rui. Personally, I think Rui is pretty good and has some potential, although it doesn’t really help our defence (which has been terrible lately).

They could also get into trading a whole bunch of 2nds, like what happened last year with guys like Jae Crowder. For what it’s worth, the Lakers can trade five 2nds and one distant first.

The other option is for them to include D-Lo as the main salary, and we’d try to get back what we can for him from a third team, although I don’t think he’s got much value.

I wish Shams would report on another team besides the lakers.

Bruce should undoubtedly be a safer option, what could come back in that deal? Thinking maybe Reddish, Rui, and a pick? Any chance to pry away Hood-Schfino or Christie?

The rumored package for Murray is DLo + JHS + 29 pick + pick swap but Atlanta wants to flip DLo to a 3rd team for more assets, which is the main hold up. Maybe the Hawks are just trying to milk another asset from the Lakers but who knows.

That means they would likely offer Rui as the main centrepiece for a Brown trade. Salaries don’t work straight up, so they will need to add another and my guess is Jaxson Hayes. Maybe they sweeten it with a 2nd or 2, but that would be the main framework.

Another thing is Lakers are hardcapped this season. Murray has a trade kicker so it could be tight especially if they want to save some money to make a run at a buyout candidate.

i’d think about rui for gtj but they don’t have the right assets for a brown trade

Should ask if AD is available and just attach a 2nd round pick with Brown for him. Obviously salary filler.

If we deal with Lakers, it better be that unprotected 2029 1st.

LeBron will be gone/retired and Davis contact is up the year before too. Depending how the Lakers do post LeBron/AD, that could be part of their down years.

Would be funny to think about in a deal like that, we’d be trading for someone who probably has more memories of LeBron with the Lakers than with the Heat or Cavs (born in 2009 or 2010).

I’d rather trade him for a Knicks first far in the future

I’ll take a washed up Lebron and a FRP for Bruce the Batman Brown and 2nd rounder.. Who in their right mind would say no?

  17. UncleNuks

They can keep that 2029 first and get lost…who wants a pick SIX years from now lol
