Trading Terry Rozier signals Hornets are open for business. Is Gordon Hayward next?

  1. I think the biggest thing here is that Kupchak seems to imply that the buy-out market isn’t something they are considering for Hayward and that players are less likely to consider the buy-out market due to there being limited options with the 1st/2nd apron rules.

Wonder if the Hornets go for Lavine, giving up Hayward, Bouknight, and some FRP that is protected or from a different team.

That may be an old Hornets regime move though

Just for the record: even if Hayward is bought out, we could not sign him. The new CBA prohibits teams over the first or second apron from signing buyout guys who had a salary over the non-taxpayer mid-level exception (which is about $12m).

I’d take Hayward in a second on a midlevel next summer, tho.

I want nothing to do with Hayward again man. Least memorable Celtic of all time. Plus he has an ego and would not be ok with a Sam Hauser-esque role.

Can’t wait for these posts to stop. We’re fine with the squad we got. And if we do make a move, it’s not going to be for Gordon Hayward.

does luke kornet and a second work for nick richards?

Guys we can’t sign Hayward. It’s just a pipe dream at this point. Remember we can’t sign him because we’re over the second apron

Maybe next offseason for the minimum deal

Didn’t his wife hate Boston? Don’t see the reunion happening at all. My bet is unfortunately Indiana
