Maxey got the second most player votes for east all star starter guards. I don’t really care if he was a starter or not (hes gonna be an all star anyways) and I get that the all star game is catered towards fans, but lillard legit got the nod cause of the offseason trade and he’s a “household name”. Next year we as philly fans gotta make sure he’s a starter.

I think the media ranking is fair for now.
Fans not showing up is pretty wack tho. Probably didn’t help that maxey has been *slumping* the last month. Halliburton is great and benefitted from making it far in the IST. Everyone except hali for has been in the league at least two years longer than maxey so I do expect him to get some more name
recognition as time goes on.
I think what helps Maxey with the players is he’s like the least hate-able person. It’s cool that he’s so respected. I hope he makes it as a reserve.

what’s crazier is that Embiid only got 98/100 votes from the media. two people really voted for Jaylen Brown, Kristaps, Bam, or Paolo over him which is insane.
