Interesting from Tatum, who spoke almost immediately after the game: “We can’t be predictable. You have to be decisive & try to manipulate the defense. They have schemes, they’re well-coached, they got good players over there. You gotta throw counter-punches..& make adjustments”

He was right on the decisiveness on “who to attack” part. Clippers a rare team where they don’t really have a guy you can consistently attack on defense (Harden at times)

Makes it easier for the offense knowing

    “We are going at Dame”

    “We are going at Maxey”

  2. His post game interview felt different than other losses. He seemed pretty irritated. Was quick to leave too.

Wont be manipulating shit against an elite perimeter defense. Theis is legit as a switchable big too, always in the right position.

You need Porzingis against this team. Otherwise the Clips are an improved version of the Porzingisless Celtics.

  4. I said this in another thread, but they started the game with Kawhi on Brown and PG on White. I think that was because of our tendency to let those guys try to get going early on. 3rd quarter we came out and Tatum immediately looked like he may go into takeover mode and the Clips switched to make anyone but Tatum beat us and we just folded.

I can’t believe people are still defending Joe. This is basically Tatum waving the big neon red flag in front of us. We’re in big trouble with this coach, folks.

The Celtics missed so many wide open shots in the 1st half. Think things play out quite differently if some of those go in. Too many pull up 3s from ice cold Jrue and Al.

Thank you Tatum! Finally a voice telling it like it is. All the things that have bothered me about this coaching staff were finally said by the most respected voice in the locker room. He’s 100% right and I hope it serves as a wake-up call to Joe. Can’t just attack reporters after loses, if you’re coaching this championship-level team, you need to be able to make adjustments when playing top tier teams. Our one-note predictable game plans work on 80% of the league, but when playing well-coached top teams, it doesn’t always work and you need to adjust.

It’s concerning to see another lackluster performance where we got obliterated like we did against the Bucks but remember where we sit in the NBA.

It’s better to have these problems happen in January than in the postseason.

We know we have moments where we rely too hard on the 3 and when it doesn’t fall we get boat raced out the gym, we don’t make it easy for ourselves for as talented as we are.

We struggle against teams with top tier perimeter defenders.

Kawhi is a beast, dude was my favorite player at one point in the league during his early San Antonio days. I still like him till this day, always so efficient on the field, lock down defense, no BS, no Drama just a certified hooper and he ended the Heat Dynasty

In all honesty if we don’t win this year, clippers is the only team i wouldn’t mind winning
