That felt like a signature early season magic win, phenomenal defense led the way

  2. PLAY THE SONG AND WE GONNA DANCE PLAY THE SONG SO WE CAN DANCE!!!

  3. Play the song!! Feels good to beat this bum ass mercenary team with absolutely no heart. As soon as we went up they folded.

  4. Get the boys on the plane and good nights rest! Tough game tomorrow.

  5. treadwater23

Great defense led by Isaac. Shut up a lot of the whiners. We still need to address having spacing from our PG but Fultz was a menace on the defensive end.

Also, if anybody wants to know why we’ve been so up and down so far, look at that 3rd string lineup. Black, Houstan, Queen, Okeke, Goga. All of those guys have played major parts in our lineups over the last 2 months because of injuries and now they’re 3rd stringers. Shows how many people have been banged up.

I got home and started watching when it was 92-89. I think I should get partial credit for the W

  7. hanyou007

Y’all better over react to this as hard as you over react to everything else this season

  8. Frequent-Ruin-1754

MF looked so solid. This big lineup is scary. Even with the offensive shortcomings.

  9. We still need to make deadline moves despite this really good win

  10. The first 3 quarters was some of the weirdest defense ever. When it came to playing passing lanes and forcing turnovers it was absolutely elite, it led to the Magic having like 15 more shot attempts (ended with 20).

On the flip side when the Suns got a shot off it was going in, they were near 70% from the field. So somehow they were simultaneously playing great defense and bad defense at the same time. So although we had 15 more shot attempts the game was neck and neck (patented Magic offense baby)

The 4th was just a total takeover though, all the forcing TO + good shooting defense.

Isaac is a difference maker when he gets minutes

  12. frostysbox

Praying that Issac really is completely healed because he makes the whole team better.

Which is insane because all our guys are good at defense. Like even Cole Anthony is surprisingly good considering his short stature.

  13. LRC_Kevin

JI absolutely massive and put the clamps on KD. Holding Durant to 15pts is insane. He’s only scored under 20 5 times this season and 2 of those were blowouts. Huge credit to JI for that.

  14. gabelliot93

I loved the lineups that had Banchero, franz, Isaac, Wendell/sometimes mo, and Suggs/black. Just pure switchability.

  15. Maybe the best win of the season so far. Team played well the whole game. The score just didn’t reflect that fact until the 4th because Durant and Booker were hitting every well-contested long two. To stay in the game through the first three quarters with them shooting like 70% (despite good D), and then just completely dominate in the 4th… awesome to see.

Holy shit, JI just said he’s expecting to play tomorrow too.

PUT THE WORD OUT ON THE STREET, WE BACK UP

  18. What an emotional game.

Heart and hustle magic are back (I hope this lasts)

I take that 30% 3pt shooting every time when I’m allowed to watch this defense!

Markelle super efficient, great reads and cuts, controlling the pace and transition game.

Moe “can’t rebound” Wagner crushing the glass (he is way better than last year, but still) and husteling every lose ball in range.

Paolo remembered how to go to the rim, still room to grow there.

Franz still not shooting well but higher arc, which will translate to better numbers soon. Focused on playmaking and defense.

JI … No idea how to describe his defense without using too many superlatives.

We still lack a lot of things, but today I’m just happy and enjoy this huge win!

    Great game y’all

Fultz is a pure baller in every way

And Mo is a stud man.

    Y’all have a great team

  20. Don’t trade fultz. He’s our PG. He’s the brains of the operation.

  21. ProfessorUnusual2355

I put 10k$ on Devin Booker scoring 50+ and Magic winning…. I figured the Magic could grab the win and in when Booker scored massive Suns usually lose… also figured since hes been so hot and he usually stays on these streaks for a couple games…

I was 6 Booker points away from making $270,000 USD today…

  22. hanyou007

Crazy how I see no complaints about Mosleys rotations when he isn’t down 8 primary rotation players

  23. SpideyUdaman

We may not have been winning games recently, but when we do

    ![gif](giphy|NU9M2FOUgaDfVtw04L|downsized)

They didnt, nor did we see it coming.

I like the thread praising MF and JI. We don’t have to be an npc team to win games. Because in real life, you do with what you got. These “injured players” give us winning chances. But we have to be carefully resourceful about our players. It’s like playing a unique build strategy on lol/dota rather than using one everyone else is using. The question is if we know how to operate our build.

  24. evenyetodd

Great win. Loved that JI was able to close tonight.

  25. RandomPMs

Every single one of Jonathan Isaac’s advanced defensive metrics this year project to be 2019/2020 Giannis if he played 36 minutes a game. Fultz constantly being hurt is a let-down but JI i the sort of defensive stopper that would transform this team’s identity if he could stay health from now on.

Sadly we all know that isn’t happening but credit where credit is due, JI put the clamps tonight.
