1. Who was playing in those games? 2. Did they play the night before any of these games? 3. Did they travel the same day or late the night before any of these games? 4. How many games did they play in January?
Bottom line, C’s are still the number 1 team in the league if I’m not mistaken. I’m not too worried when it comes to a series vs any of these teams if they continue to play this way.

The Nuggets and OKC game we lost by a combined 6 points and both could’ve been W’s, and then this suddenly looks a lot better

The Clippers game was shit but we also blew them out in their arena earlier in the season so it’s whatever. 1-1 and we were missing KP both times

1. “Last 5” is arbitrary. BOS is 3-4 vs these teams. The more recent matchups don’t mean more.
2. Most elite teams are about .500 vs each other. That means there is no “super team” ahead of the pack.
3. Regular season matchups are not good indicators of post season matchups. It’s a different game in terms of game planning & adjustments.
Everyone is just looking for things to worry about. This team is a legit champion contender. They are not head & shoulders above the pack. They’ll need all their guns blazing come playoff time, just like the rest of these teams.

Four of these teams are Western Conference and we don’t face them until the finals. By that point it gets so variable and comes down to health and shooting form, as much as anything.

Two of those games could have gone either way. One was a throw away game where we had zero energy. Yesterday was by far the most concerning. But it’s one data point out of 50 and I choose to look at the season as a whole where they’ve been phenomenal against both good and bad teams.
The only thing we can conclusively say after last night’s beat down is that the Celtics are not flawless and unbeatable. But you should have known that before then.

Not every game is equal in the reg season. Different motivation depending on the schedule or what’s happened in previous games. Players sitting out, travel days, a game after new years/holiday on the road, home game after a throttling in Miami where they prob enjoyed the night there, etc…
Clippers wanted that game. They normally would rest players on a b2b. They wanted to play. It simply mattered more to them. Celts came out flat with no energy and there’s not much else to it
It’s different when the stakes are the same and teams are preparing for each other over multiple games

Tatum gets Kobe brain and jacks up contested off balance 3s against superstars and great teams with good defenses. He then lights up bad defenses and it makes his stats look much better. He’s still young but he’s gotta mature out of it this year or they’re not winning shit.
