Lakers Dejounte Murray Trade After Atlanta Hawks Game?

Lakers Dejounte Murray Trade After Atlanta Hawks Game?

What’s going on everyone so today the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Atlanta Hawks on the second night of a back-to-back uh Lakers need to win this game desperately believe me desperately we at 500 we cannot fall below 500 but regardless we will see if we are finally

Going to get a look at dejonte Murray um he is dayto day currently at the time of recording this video we have no information whether he’s going to be in this game or not uh if he’s not then you know the internet going to go run wild

And everyone’s going to be like oh he’s not playing because he’s going to be traded to the Lakers uh that’s usually how these kind of things go uh now look he missed the other night so it it very likely could just be an injury issue uh

They are trying to trade him so it is very possible that they are resting him to trade him uh whether that’s to the Lakers or not time will tell but one thing I want to kind of talk about and explore and again this is just a conversation

Um not saying anything like this will happen or it is going to happen just want to clarify that uh so people don’t run away with it but Lakers and Deonte Murray dejonte Murray coming to the Lakers via trade it’s kind of the the main point right the Lakers have Deonte

Murray as their top priority there have been countless reports that basically the foundation has done very well could take a three- team deal as d’angel Russell will end up having to go to another team maybe the Lakers end up keeping DLo because of D’s recent play the Lakers are really hesitant now to

Trade him so maybe they try to include like a rui deal to make that happen uh there was a report from Mark Stein the other day that conversations have basically hit a standstill there there are no further conversations which to me I don’t really see as an issue right

Like they’ve already had numerous conversations we got reports like a week or so ago that said that they weren’t going to have conversations again until closer to the trade deadline so the Mark Stein report to me doesn’t really sound like it was a bad thing it just sounds

Like well yeah that’s what’s to be expected right what is there left to talk about for Deonte Murray uh the Lakers know what they want the Hawks know what the Lakers are willing to part with let’s go wait around and see what we can find and if there’s nothing then

We’ll you know either take the Laker deal or try to renegotiate and figure out uh if we could kind of restructure it a way right so I don’t really think that that’s a big deal there have been countless reports from several credible people that have all said that dejonte

Murray to the Lakers is very likely um and that the Lakers are the only team to make a real offer personally I think that Atlanta should trade to Jon Murray this season um even if it’s not to the Lakers because I know some people are

Going to look at that and go well yeah of course you do you want them on the Lakers where I do but I also have my concerns I’ve gone over my reservations withont Murray numerous times I’m worried about him shooting uh and his regression if that ends up happening I

Is shooting 38% 39% from three-point range but does that hit uh back down to 34% coming to Lakers we know how players are when they come to the Lakers and they’re shooting well elsewhere also there’s concerns about him finishing around the rim it’s something that’s plagued him his whole career defensively

He’s hasn’t been the guy that he once was now could he be better and could he get back to that sure will he who knows time will tell right there also the fit how does he play alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis so I don’t think it’s

As cut and dry like clearcut here you go this guy’s going to come and immediately it’s Off to the Races it could Deonte Murray is a very talented player you know he was an All-Star all defensive team this is a guy that many people consider is having a very bad time in

Atlanta and a bad time in Atlanta is averaging 215 and five if that’s Deonte Murray’s bad I will take that over anybody right cuz that means the good is really good uh but regardless right do jonte Murray coming to Lakers we will see I think Atlanta needs to trade him uh because

Look you’re already seeing the pool of teams interested in dejonte Murray really starting to dwindle away and fewer and fewer teams are becoming interested in Deonte Murray when we first started this journey there was like seven or eight teams there was like a handful of teams that were interested

In trading for dejonte Murray and now it the Lakers are the only team that have made a real offer teams like Miami have already made other trades uh teams like the Knicks have already made other trades right Philadelphia says that they’re not interested in Deonte Murray they’re going to wait and be patient

They want a real like impactor type star they don’t believe Deonte Murray is that um you know so unless some team comes out of the Woodworks then the pool again is very limited and it’s not going going to get bigger and then you run the risk of

Teams like the Lakers or maybe even like the Detroit Pistons who are interested in Deon Murray right do you do you really want to run the risk that those two teams end up going a different direction and now you end up stuck with Deonte Murray could be a real problem

But here’s the thing too here’s my little let’s put our tinf foil cap on for a moment again just a conversation but if the Lakers are going to trade for Deonte Murray wouldn’t it make sense for Atlanta to trade de Jon Murray after the Lakers game right like because you don’t

Want to trade him during or before the Lakers game because then you got to see him right if you go and you you play or you trade Deonte Murray then now you’re in Atlanta Deon Murray’s coming and now you got a face off against him now look I know Atlanta

Plays dejonte Murray uh or if he was to go to Lakers they the Lakers and the Hawks play again uh in March March 18th uh but it’s in La it’s not in Atlanta so you would be going in there the fans all that stuff it just I don’t know like you

Usually see you know a player return home right or return to to their former team and just bust them up right where if they’re in La you’d rather get busted up on the road then like the home fans have to see Deonte Murray and have to

See Deonte Murray go off for like 30 10 and 10 that game not saying that he would but you know something like that he has some like crazy monster game because he wants to stick it to Atlanta and show them uh that they messed up type thing and you’re on your home court

He just runs through Atlanta and now all the fans and everyone are SC screaming why did you trade this guy right it’s just again a bit of a conspiracy theory right but even then even if like you didn’t care you do want to see Deonte Murray as few times as possible right

You don’t want to have to keep running into dejonte Murray and like every time you have to deal with it now obviously you’re going to run into him you’re in and you’re out but eventually that cushion and that like you know that that that just hype eventually dissipates

Right like even when like when LeBron goes to Cleveland now it’s not what it used to be like when that first year where Miami LeBron ended up going to Cleveland that was the most like anticipated game probably ever right or when you know he went back to Cleveland

In that first game against Miami was again another highly int but the more you go the more you see it’s like okay it’s just another game at this point right so if you’re Atlanta you want to play you want to see and play Deonte Mar’s few times as possible so it is

Very possible that they go hey let’s get through this this game right and then we wouldn’t see dejonte Murray until March and it would be on the road in LA in crypto so we don’t have to deal with like oh all the the repercussions or just not even repercussions but just the

Noise and nonsense you know all of just the the the conversations from the media and everything like that they go along with it like Oh look The jonay Murray just went in Atlanta and dropped 3010 and 10 and you know Lakers won by 30 and you know Deonte Murray was the Catalyst

And now you got to sit there and you know it’s just frustrating for an organization um again I’m not saying that Deon Murray lock it in he’s going to be a Laker um you know both sides have to come to an agreement both sides

Have to come to a trade I do think it makes sense at this point right Atlanta it’s clearly not working with Deonte Murray Deonte Murray clearly doesn’t seem to fit in Atlanta they would be in their best interest to get off of his long-term salary it’s not like he only

Has a year or so left no he’s about to enter next season a new contract in a New Deal which if you’re Atlanta you’re going to be paying them 25 plus every year for the next four years and and you’re running the risk of all these teams like the Lakers going a different

Direction now the Lakers don’t have an interest in Deon Murray down don’t need Deon Murray they’ve already figured it out right or you know in the offseason maybe they go and they end up trading and and getting a Donovan Mitchell or something like that again not saying

That they will but you never know Lakers would have three firsts available in the offseason if they don’t make a big trade now so then all of a sudden they make some minor moves they go make that and you’re like all right Lakers we’re down

To trade de jante now and it’s like well it’s too late right and Atlanta Atlanta learned their lesson with John Collins right that’s something else that I think people need to keep in mind right every year for like four years John Collins was going to be traded he was on the

Trade block this is the year that they’re going to trade him they’re going to trade him they’re going to trade and then they never ended up trading him and then they ended up trading him for peanuts compared to what they originally could have gotten for him right and and

I get that they put a ton of investment into dejonte Murray but hey sometimes you got to bite the bullet sometimes you make a bad investment or make a bad decision and it cost you and it’s better to get you know a a first a pick Swap

And a young Talent rather than you know a year from now it’s like okay well now we’re ready to to trade to jante and everyone’s like okay well we’ll give you one first and expiring salary and it’s like well you could have gotten essentially double from the Lakers right

And you also have the Lakers in a point of desperation like it’s just again even if like even remove the Lakers from the situation if they can find a realistic reasonable trade for Deonte Murray I think they should trade him now if Detroit comes along and

They’re like hey we’ll give you a young guy that makes sense for now in the future for Atlanta and on top of that we could go and um you know get a first or two or whatever then sure go get Deon Murray go or go trade de Jon Murray to

Detroit or you know if the Knicks come along and they say whoever but the problem is again you had all these teams that were interested and willing and now it’s just the name that you keep hearing is the Lakers as the only serious you know actual buyers in the dejonte Murray

Market so it’ll be interesting but anyway as always this is a discussion so I pass a question on you let me know your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below what do you think do you think that this makes sense do you think like yeah you know you you trade him

After you know he would play his homecoming game because you don’t want to trade him and then now you got to see him in Atlanta and deal with that or you think no it’s it’s not going to happen period do you think no it will happen but it’ll be closer to the trade

Lakers Trade for Dejounte Murray has been Lakers News for a month now. Lakers play the Atlanta Hawks and would make sense for Lakers Nation to land Dejounte Murray after the game.

  1. This will be John Collins 2. ATL will hold onto and kill Murray’s value until they have to give him away for peanuts.

  2. Would you do Austin Reaves, Gabe Vincent, Taurean Prince, Jaxon Hayes, and a first for Dejounte Murray and Bogdan Bogdanovic?

  3. I wouldn’t make any moves cause it’s not going move us into a championship anyway. None of these players available will propel this team into the top 5 in the league so why get excited about it. In my opinion It’s time for thinking about what the future is going to be at the end of this season for this franchise.

  4. lakers only saying reaves is untouchable they just play mindgames i think lakers dont want the 2029 1st to be traded in atlanta. lakers only trade reaves if reaves and jhs and pick swap would be involved. 2029 pick is valuable pick to involve in gabe vincent trade

  5. I've watched DM play and I wasn't impressed. I hope if this trade goes through that DM will be significantly better than DLO or AR. AR needs a reboot maybe after all star break he will be better.

  6. I’m convinced Jeanie Buss is screwing Austin Reeves that’s why he’s untouchable, Lakers aren’t making any moves.

  7. Bro we need you to find something else to talk about… this trade not happening. Lakers brass won’t move Reaves.

  8. I could see a 4 team trade Hornets get Rui, Gabe, Bey, 2 2nds from Thunder, 1 2nd from LA. Atl gets Hayward, JHS, LA 1st and swap. OKC gets Hayes and LA gets Murray and Bridges

  9. Reeves needs to be traded tonight for Murray! DLo and Murray would be nasty! Then go get Dennis and Drummond. Grab Gordon Hayward off the buyout market

  10. Every time I hear Murray is a bad finisher around the rim I just laughed. Go look at DLo and tell me how he finishes around the rim. DLo only scores layups in fast breaks when he’s open. In the 2 years DLo been back with the lakers you’ve never seen him getting by defenders and finishing around the rim except for that dunk on Orlando early in the season. You can count with one hand the layups DLo has even attempted when defenses are set.

  11. AR is so overrated I just don't understand why would you try to trade Dlo when he gives you so much there's no way AR should have more value than Dlo
