    Maybe coach the young fellas. Have em try some plays. Use your timeouts and teach them things with in game scenarios.

    I get that Luka is your go to. But he is out. Come up with a new game plan to help your squad learn and improve. You scored less than 40 in the second half because you didnā€™t even try. You ran the Luka playbook without Luka.

    PROPS on surving till the 4th quarter,but man they got hot on 3 in the 4th,omax missed some highlights but he brings intensity to the game,but to me it’s a morale victory because we survived till the 4th

    I’m sure ESPN or someone will find a way to talk trash about Luka’s On/Off numbers again to blame it on his poor impact even though he didn’t even play. People look to be obssesed with this just to discredit how bad this team looks without him.

    Expectations were low after missing the whole starting 5 and the first half was a pleasant surprise. But my god was the 2nd half a rude awakening. We looked so badly coached, I sometimes wonder what Kidd tells these guys.

    This game really showed the difference between the guys playing for their spots and reputations and those that feel safe on the roster.

    Holmes, Omax, Lawson, Brandon Will. all left it on the court.

    Grant Will, THJ and Powell showed no hunger or fight.

    Josh, Hardy and Seth just continue to flip flop between brilliant one minute, invisible the next.

    Apparently some dude came all the way from Ethiopia to see Kyrie but he was obviously injured and didnā€™t play, Kyrie still went out of his way to meet the dude and gave him some shoesā€¦.Kyrie rocks

    Grant Williams in a game where the team needed role players to step up puts up a 2/1/1 statline. Is there any reason the team doesn’t swap him with OMax at this point?

    Things that must happen between this trade deadline and this offseason:

    * Luka or Kyrie need to be the worst defenders on this roster. If you can’t play at least average defense, bye!
    * If you have a negative Basketball IQ, bye!
    * If you are not a big and can’t drive, bye!
    * Trade for legit two way wing over 6’7″
    * Trade for a backup 5 that is not undersized.

    I love THJ and every contender with a good defense can use someone like him off the bench, but that is not us. We have a horrible defense and when he is not hot, he is a negative player on the court cause of his defense.

    There have been rumors that we are interested in Kuzma. I like Kuzma and wouldn’t mind him, but I would ask about a Deni and Gafford package. Those 2 would fix 2 big issues, backup big and big starting wing. Deni is 6’9″, a high BBIQ player, a good defender, and good playmaker. Both are on good contracts. Don’t know how available they are but there was a report a few weeks ago that said everyone except Coulibaly could be had.

    Plus minus is such a meaningless stat.

    Dwight Powell somehow had the 2nd best +/- on the team despite only scoring 1 point and getting 1 rebound while turning the ball over 4 times in his 14 minutes. He looked even worse than the counting stats showed ā€” he was a literal traffic cone tonight and he has the hands of a reckless carpenter.

    Richaun Holmes outplayed Powell in every sense of the word with a double double, plus 2 blocks. Even if he looks lost on defense at times, he is twice the basketball player that Powell is on any given night.

    A cold night for THJ + Gobert and KAT bringing their A game in the second half put this thing out of reach, but the first half was a fun watch.

    Green, Omax and Holmes look like keepers.
    THJ probably stays because of his ability to bring in scoring off the bench when he’s hot.

    Everybody else that was on the floor can go.

    Kidd is a coaching catastrophe.
