I think that even in retirement in 30 years I will have trauma from Malone’s line-up with 3 guards. I still can’t believe Peyton wasn’t at the end of the gameš
We play Blazers 2x, Lakers, Kings 2x and the Bucks before the all star break. We are 33-16. If we beat the Blazers twice at home like we should and then beat down on the Lakers again Iāll feel good. We didnāt have Murray the last time we played the Kings so hopefully we can actually beat them this time.
mpj was selling throughout the game with his shot selection and piss poor box outs too. mans an npc with kobe shot selection on offense without jokic and nugs are giving him 30 mil
I have no clue what Malone was doing not putting Watson in on the last possession before the 3 for defense and rebounding and not calling a timeout in a four point game. You now lost the tiebreaker to OKC and lose another game in the close west.
This one is on us for not bullying Jokic enough to play
I tried. I honestly Doom!ed as much as I could. I got Doom! goo everywhere. Who’s gonna clean this up? Not me. I’m gonna drink some whiskey, take some sleep, and make a nacho pizza tomorrow. That is all. See ya bitches later š
After the Orlando loss, I predicted the remaining games in the month. Predicting the Nuggets would go 9-3. They went 8-4. 33-16 is the current record. The team was 35-16 going into February last season.
I know that this was a scheduled loss w/o jok, but I’m not enjoying how hard the nuggets are blueballing me with the 1 seed chase š

This is where the game was lost no AG (+7) no PWat (+15) no KCP (+13) no Jamal (+1)
You had zero of your best defensive players and the only self creator was Reggie who had zero help from MPJ. The Reggie (-14), CB (-14), Holiday (-7), MPJ (-14) and Zeke (-12) lineup is one of the worst lineups ever. We went from being up 6 to down 3 by the time Jamal came in and it all happened in 3 MINUTES! Also, Zeke is unplayable at this point heās not only bad but he makes everyone around him worse as well from here on out if Malone plays him itās coaching malpractice lol
All in all if thereās anything to come out of these Thunder games itās that if we play them in the playoffs we win convincingly.

5-1?
Finally, our first moral victory of the season!!!
Is someone able to link the PBP video of the Chent 3 from the NBA site?
Nvm I’ll just use the streamable from the r nba highlight lol
And that, folks, is why Jamal is not an All-Star.
MPJ 39 mins seems rather wild
I think we can safely say that Booth has his first complete miss in his GM tenure. That Zeke extension looks horrifically bad right now. Zeke was a big part of that end-of-3rd skid that ended up losing us the game.
He is such a tragedy. In his 4th NBA season, and all he managed to do was completely break his jumpshot. Unable to make simple layups or putbacks, terrible rebounder for his size. It would be great if he could at least learn to catch lobs, but he’s terrible at that too with his butter fingers.
Hope we can get something for him, cause he is completely useless.
They played hard, I appreciate it. Pretty good showing without Jok
I think Iāll be shocked if Zeke is on the team next season.
We were also 3-1 in the regular season against GSW in 2022…..just saying.
edit: lmao, who downvoted me for stating a literal fact
This one is on my boys. My buddy bet the money line in the 3rd when we were up and it was all downhill after that
Awful ending to a fairly winnable game.
Sure would like to see more consistency from MPJ.
SGA plays an ugly brand of ball and I kinda hate watching him play. Flailing to initiate contact with the defender should not result in a favorable outcome for the offensive player, but it seems to work for him often.
Shai was shooting like shit and got bailed out by the refs all night, 13 free throws. jamal got his first free thows 50 sec before end…its just a shameless ref job we watched i wont be silent
I heard an ad on the radio for the super bowl. It went kinda like this, “Will we see Travis and Taylor celebrating a championship on the field or will Brock Purdy ruin the Party??” And then I decided I needed to throw up.

This one really sucked because of those errors at the end but we fought despite not having Joker so I’m not complaining that much. If we face OKC in the playoffs the regular season series won’t matter
So let’s talk about the last play.
[Here’s exactly where Giddey grabs the 2nd offensive rebound.](https://i.imgur.com/56Kg0O9.png) Pretty clear 1 on 1 assignments on both the strong side and the weak side. MPJ is gonna end up behind Giddey because of his momentum trying to get the rebound which is not a problem at all.
[Here’s how it looks 2 seconds after.](https://i.imgur.com/TXt24oR.png) You can see MPJ ended up on Giddey’s right side. If you wanna get nitpicky this is a mistake as he’s taking the weakside and leaving a 3 on 2 strong side. It’s also a real tough decision to make in a split second and a lot of it is influenced by his natural momentum so I have no problem with it at all. From there Gordon steps up to deny Giddey the drive, which is also correct. It leaves Regi to decide if he wants to take away the baseline cut or the Chent 3.
[Here’s how it looks when Giddey makes the pass.](https://i.imgur.com/FbV5Cet.png) Regi decides to take away the baseline which is always the correct choice since a wide open shot at the rim is always better offense than an above the break 3. The next action should be MPJ rotating back to the 3 point line but it’s also a really hard split second read and react decision to make.
[Here’s how it looks when Chent receives the ball.](https://i.imgur.com/yjnO7lJ.png). Regi is forced to rush back to contest the shot since the rotation from MPJ didn’t come. Again, ideally the rotation from MPJ is made but I wouldn’t call it bad decision making or a bad defensive play or anything like that. You just credit the rookie for making a tough shot in the clutch.
[Here’s an alternate look to how it could’ve been played out.](https://i.imgur.com/FW29YsG.png) Basically you got the same thing with Gordon taking the drive and Regi taking the baseline cut. But this way you have the entire weak side rotating one man over. This didn’t happen because, well, this is an insane thing to do in a clutch time possession lol. You’re not gonna see a single team playing defense like this. So much that can go wrong.
EDIT: [Here’s also how it looks when MPJ establishes defensive position.](https://i.imgur.com/XMila9p.png) Again the correct play is to go on Giddey’s left side which gives you a much easier rotation to the strong side but again it’s a really tough decision to make on a half a second read and react.
Glad the guys get 3 days rest after the 2 Portland games. They need it after what seems like a game every other day for 3 weeks.
Considering we didnāt have jokic AND it was an away game, I guess it wasnāt to bad
