Yeah exactly. The difference between 1 and 2 is as big as the difference between 2 and 12. That’s the definition of #1 with a bullet.

2.4 points difference between first best defense and second best defense is insane. That would be biggest gap between two best defense since 2015-2016 San Antonio Spurs with 2.6 points differential.

The Minnesota Timberwolves #1 defense, wow I can’t even type that out without smiling. Never thought I’d see it.

A couple others that really stood out from last year’s issues to work on for this season.
Timberwolves this year are 3rd in defensive rebounding rate. I know every time I see an offensive board given up it pisses me off lol Only the Knicks and Kings are better at defensive rebounding. (Last year they were 26th!)
Timberwolves are allowing the 4th fewest fast break points in the NBA (last year they were 20th!). Even more shocking when you think about their high turnover rate.

The team has its offensive problems, but Finch deserves serious credit for getting this team to buy into the defensive identity and how hard these guys play. It would be a serious mistake to fire him without seeing what this team is capable of in the playoffs.

Bigger gap between 1 and 2, as 2 and 10!
Minutes per game is such an odd stat there haha
