CAVS AND NBA TRADE RUMORS WITH WINDY – 5 Good Min With Windy

We are just a week away from the NBA trade deadline and though it doesn’t seem like the Cavs are going to make a major move, we had to ask NBA insider Brian Windhorst about all the rumors going around the league and how they could affect the Cavs. Windy also talked about the returns of Darius Garland and Evan Mobley to the Cavs lineup.

  1. No what happened was JB went a whole 7 min stretch with no Bigs in the game! None not even Niang. No JA or Mobley at all!

  2. What's wrong with Mobley, Garland, Levert, Okoro and Merrill as a second unit? I think Mobley plays more as a center than a PF.

  3. You can tell Brian is disgusted with the Cavs. He knows they have great potential to make championship level moves but an awful, awful owner holding us back whom is lazy and unprepared and frankly doesnt care about our future. Dan Gilbert is a total buffon and Brian knows this. It wouldn’t take much to make impactful moves, Dan is just too busy scamming poor and old people to do anything. Shame. Did the same thing when LeBron was here, and he’s the reason he left.

“Enjoy the ride. We are a fun team. We don’t care to win a ring, though.. Sorry.”
    -Dan Gilbert, probably.

    Hey Dan…Look…. 🖕 you. Loser.

  4. Garland clearly fits in the offensive system, and I'm curious to see how he evolves over the next few games. Defensively, Garland isn't the problem either. At least not just him. With DG in the lineup, Strus and Mitchell become the main point of attack defenders, and Wade and Okoro go to the bench. Strus is a competitive defender, but he's not great. Last season the Cavs were the number 1 defense with JA Mobley and Ice as the frontcourt, so our defense can work with 2 small guards. But Strus is not a perfect solution for that 3 spot. Tbh, Strus isn't shooting all that great. Barely 40% from the field and 34% from 3. Not blaming him for anything because he does so many things for us on the floor, but I think the starting 5 could work better with a different 5th man.

  5. Garland and Mobley are both overrated. All this time I thought we made a mistake trading for Mitchell but I'm beginning to believe the only reason we're keeping the other 2 around is because we don't know what Mitchell is doing next year. We should be moving them to build around Mitchell if we're betting on him staying.

  6. I am not convinced that the Cavs got any better with Garland and Mobley back, they may have actually gotten worse! Which is why they need to at least entertain trades for one or both. The bench can't be traded, they're why we have improved!

  7. Crazy yall niggas was saying trade Mitchell that lil stretch they played when Mitchell was sick… Cleveland has the shittiest fans bruh

  8. Why Windy such a wet blanket, a win is a win and let time tell JB what adjustments will need to made over the course of the season.

  9. It will probably never happen, but what about Mitchell and Merrill as starting guards and Okoro as small forward? Merrill – strong offense and Okoro- strong defense. Allen, of course, would be the center. I guess they could keep Mobley as the power forward and let Garland lead the 2nd unit but I imagine Garland wouldn't accept being benched.
