@Atlanta Hawks

[Fischer] The Atlanta Hawks will likely not only be the most active team at the deadline, but will be the most active team with the best player assets and the best overall player available at the deadline: Dejounte Murray.

> The remaining trade deadline activity, to this point, is expected to focus on nearby cities Atlanta and Charlotte. The Hawks continue to be described by rival executives as the most active and aggressive team in the marketplace, motivated to discuss the majority of its veteran players, highlighted by All-Star guard Dejounte Murray — arguably the best player known to be available. Elsewhere on the roster, Atlanta has held its most notable discussions on Clint Capela, De’Andre Hunter and AJ Griffin, according to league sources, dating back to the offseason. It’s become clear that Atlanta values Sixth Man of the Year candidate Bogdan Bogdanovic as highly as any player on its roster not named Trae Young and Jalen Johnson, according to league sources.

    Not sure if i am correct but i feel like they always say we are the most active but never do too many trades?

  2. That’s cool as long as we don’t get fleeced. There are a lot of sharks that smell blood circling us right now expecting us to make a bad move. Make good moves or no moves at all. Need to flip the narrative so we’ll have stronger negotiating leverage in the future if we don’t get what we want now.

    Clint leaving has me sad

    I just remember the news breaking when we acquired him. Life was so much better back then

    Atlanta should be a better basketball town than this. Two of the all stars (afaik) are from here this year. We have some of the better basketball colleges. Our FO is so inept, always has been. We could be the Lakers of the south, all we need is a Ted Turner to actually put money in us and take us serious.

    I hope I’m wrong, but I really hope everyone here tempers their expectation for what the return ends up being.

    Of course they’re going to hold on to Bogdan when he has the most value and wait for his knees to be cooked again before flipping him for pennies in a year or two, color me surprised
