Just some context as Silver deliberates on injury replacement all-stars – Trae explicitly declined that offer in 2021 and is rumored to have done that again in 2023 (where the replacement was instead Siakam) from a radio interview he did. He may decline it again this year and miss 3/4 since 2020

I hope he doesn’t to be honest. I understand he’s a very prideful player and to him standing on business means either being an all-star if his name is called properly as a reserve or staying out of it entirely but when we’re looking at the career accolades a decade from now I think he and everyone else will regret it when the guy has half the all star appearances he should and people use that to diminish his HoF case.

Trae doesn’t give a fuck about personal accolades and getting friendly with other players. He probably prefers taking the time off to work on his craft and to spend time with his wife and kid. But I know for a fact I will not be watching that shit if Trae is not playing.

The Hawks need to start hanging their nuts. Trae getting snubbed is just another way the NBA pushes Atlanta around. League has 0 respect right now for basketball in Atlanta.

Personally I hope he don’t obviously but he’s already done it twice & nothing will stop him from doing it a third time . + he tweeted out that not making asgs don’t even bother him anymore .. I’ll expect him to get a invite and probably decline it once again .. hopefully he have a chance of heart and realize the fans wanna see him there regardless

He should go and he should’ve gone the other times. Nobody cares if you’re an injury replacement or not at the end of your career.

I understand why he would decline because of pride, but this is certainly not helping him with the coaches part of the roster, but at this point you can’t return from it. Coaches view even being picked as a replacement as an honor. But he’s done this before and he also walked away from the Olympic tryout thing and hasn’t been close to making that either. My guess is he and fans will regret this later when you try and put Trae in his place in the game and the All Stars is lacking. And then you’ll have to use the shoulda, woulda, coulda argument when others have the accolade. But this is Traes career to this point.

I wouldn’t be mad if Trae told Adam to kick rocks.
