Fun conversation if you missed any e either one of those parts or both of them I encourage you to listen to that podcast and again spread it around to your friends and family and anybody else that you know that’s a Hawks fan in your life but Today’s Show we’ll focus on

What became a very nice win for the Hawks at home 129 to 120 against the Phoenix Suns on this Friday Atlanta’s third straight win that’s obviously a nice place to be bizarrely the Hawks have now won 10 games in a row against Phoenix in Atlanta they have not lost to

The Suns in Atlanta in almost a decade just a strange thing because they s been pretty good for most of that time a little bit strange stuff there but hey that’s a nice little little quirk in the schedule the Au are still only 2127 on the year but they are playing better

Basketball right now very clearly and they got this win while short-handed the suns were basically at full strength in this game but the Hawks were without DeAndre Hunter and sadique Bay played only the first half before leaving the game with an injury so the Hawks were

Not at their Peak form in this game and still managed to Win It despite being according to our friends at FanDuel three and a half Point underdogs in this game I tip off not a huge situation I called it a mild upset on Twitter people were kind of confused by that and like

Yes the suns are better than the Hawks this year no question about that the game was in Atlanta and three and a half points is not a huge point spread so it was an upset yes but a mild one in my opinion according to the point spread

Stuff before di into the game itself speaking of Hunter real fast Quint cider did say pregame that it was kind of a maintenance decision on resting hunter in this game with the knee issues that he’s come off of I know you know he played he play on Tuesday this is a back

Toback which Snider sort of admitted and talked about um the anticipation according to SN was is that Hunter was going to play on Saturday against the Warriors obviously um on paper it would have been better to have him against the Suns and Kevin Durant and Deon Booker

That it would have been against the Warriors but cider pretty clearly leaned on the medical and performance staff for the decision making there so um we’ll see if he plays on Saturday I assume he will based on what the messaging was today but uh no cause for alarm yet he

Was obviously very limited minutes wise on Tuesday but so that wasn’t a huge surprise he listed as questionable then the Hawks lost to De Bay just before halftime I had to play the whole second half with basically one power for on the roster and Jaylen Johnson they went to

West Matthews and kind of Unearthed him for the first time in a long time so uh interesting context there but on the broad stroke side about Hunter uh nothing to worry about yet if he does not play Saturday obviously raise your eyebrows a little bit more and I certain

They will be as well anyway to the game itself I think the headliner in this one is the offense for the Hawks they were really good again offensively a 126 offensive rating or so in this one the fourth straight game for Atlanta with an offensive rating over 123 uh there was a

Stretch before that in January where the Hawks just couldn’t make a shot they had ugly offensive I’ve actually been sharing those on Twitter a little bit in recent days the Hawks offense was a problem in the month of January now they still report offensively this still an

Offense first team but for a large swas of that month they couldn’t make a jump shot and that was kind of the functional problem for this Hawks team in some respects but last four games of course three of those are wins the other one is that Luka game they just couldn’t stop

Luca but the offense is kind of back for the Hawks including this game um they shot wall from the field 52% from the field in this game 39% from three on 44 attempts from three in this one that’s very good volume very good accuracy etc etc a pretty modest free throw attempt

Game on both sides actually only 18 for the Hawks but actually took more than the Suns did so a small nod in that direction and crucially was The Possession battle in this game now that’s always something something I talk about a lot on this podcast it’s always underlooked or at least often

Underlooked when it comes to shooting versus other stuff U and shooting is certainly big it’s probably the most important thing but if you win on the margins it can certainly help you in this game the Hawks ended up with eight extra shooting possessions so eight eight extra shots um seven shots from

Field and four extra free throw attempts so exra you know you argue eight or nine possessions offensively because they only had 10 turnovers in the game which is a very good figure only had two in the first half the second half a little bit worse ball security wise but still 10

Turnovers that led to only five points for the Suns directly that’s a huge swing 10 in the single game is very very good and then the Hawks also had 12 offensive rebounds in this game it had the overall Edge on the glass so if you win the rebounding battle and the

Turnover battle in the same game you are in good shape to the point where the Suns actually outshot the Hawks narrowly in this game but the Hawks managed to win this game by nine despite shooting worse than the Suns because they won everywhere else that’s a not not not a

Small thing we’ll say um also 29 assists in this game is very very strong good ball good ball movement for the most part for the Hawks in this game um six guys in double figures Fenix Is Not Great defensively I’ll be the first to admit that but they are like middle of

The pack they’re not awful at all defensively they were at full strength um so to put up R numbers against this team yes it was at home but it was a very effective offensive game for Atlanta led by Trey but de had a big fourth quarter and bogie was really good

Off the Bench in this one a k was really good in this game so lots of positives that we’ll talk about more later on but a very strong offensive performance on the whole and the defense was not as good as the offense was but certainly

Did their part is the way I put it on on defend this game so the Suns had a 119 offensive rating in this one that’s almost exactly what the sun’s average so that means the Hawks didn’t like shut them down but simply put if the Hawks can hold their opposition to what they

Average on a nightly basis on offense that’ll be good enough to win more than you lose if you are the Hawks again that’s not that’s nothing like huge and groundbreaking but if the Hawks can just kind of hold the line on defense and let the offense play up that is usually

Their path success in a broad sort of setting so as I said before Phoenix actually shot shot better better than the Hawks did in this game but not by a ton only by a little they were a little bit better from from two-point range Sim from three but again the Hawks dominated

The turnover battle by seven and also dominated points off turnovers in this game rebounding battle also went to Atlanta the only kind of glaring weaknesses were you know they couldn’t stop Kevin Durant no surprise there Kevin Durant’s awesome so like there’s always so much you can do against KD the

Other thing was um the Hawks and I’ve said this a lot this year I know they were really bad in transition in this game defensively and that’s been a problem all year long um they have certain guys who just don’t really like to get back or whatever it is so it’s a

Problem that happened in this game and it almost bit them um throughout this one but it was enough to kind of overcome they did a good job not fouling in this game which was uh certainly important um they did a pretty solid job on Devon Booker I thought and really

Contained Brad the beal which was very helpful along the way but look nothing nothing spectacular defensively by any means but the Hawks did enough on defense and then had their offense playing at a very high level and again I don’t want to overstate it either but a

Good win for sure in any context against the Suns this is a good Suns team they were at full strength they’ve only had Beal Booker and Durant I believe this is the 18th game of the year for Phoenix to have all their three guys and the to

Beat them on normal rest no back Tob backs all that stuff and again without Hunter for the whole game without Bay for the second half um the Hawks played well in this one and you know you don’t want to have it be like super overweighted one way or the other but

The Hawks are now playing more like the team they’re supposed to be playing like um this year and it’s been a frustrating year I will be the first one to sort of raise my hand and admit that at 21 and 27 but the last couple weeks it’s been

Like okay this is kind of what the Hawks are supposed to be and that was another example of that tonight so you might get over uh over excited about it but certainly three games in a row of positive results and they look at a fourth in a row tomorrow potentially

Against against the worriors but we’ll leave it there for now on the broad Strokes of this game but we’ll get into this game more and more when it comes to the detail and the observations and the back and forth in this one at the end of

The podcast as I always do I’ll talk about all the players who appeared in this one how they all fared and most of those guys were certainly more positive than negative and what became a nice win for the Hawks but before we do all of that it work from our sponsors on today’s

Lockon all right into the game Flow in this one and in general the Hawks actually never lost a quarter in this game it was a little bit closer than that indicates um they tied the second quarter but it was a a bunch of narrow quarter victories for the Hawks and that

Began in the first they open with Jaylen Johnson on and Kevin Durant which makes sense it was a jonay Murray a lot on Devon Booker in this game and without Hunter they’re kind of limited on the guys that can throw at them um they had Bradley Beal kind of Hidden Away they

Had Bay on him for a while they had Trad him for a while really fast pace in this one early on especially nobody walked on the floor it was a really fast like offensive game out of the gate a couple fouls early on from capella the GU a

Kong in the game earlier than usual that became a story line we’ll talk about more later on um it was Bogey and Patty Mills was the ninth player in the mix for the Hawks in this game along with Wes Matthews and West Matthews became a bigger part of the game later on because

B left the game but he had not played since January 7th and I’ll say this now I’ll probably say it again later um Quin said the same thing I thought it was actually really important to get some solid enough minutes from West Matthews in this game um they went to him almost certainly

Because of his defense this is a matchup where the Hawks could just use anybody that can try to defend Booker Durant Beal anybody just like another Wing Savvy Defender and that’s what West Matthews is and it was very helpful that he made some shots as well but um that

Was kind of why they went to him I think also just for the for the GU basically because they were so short-handed without Hunter and then without Bay in that second half um Trey had a couple defensive flashes in the first quarter against Devon Booker he had one where he

Kind of locked him up around the free throw line which which is a nice play and then also got a a pick pocket of a steel and a layup against Booker later on in the game he had a steel against Durant that was a big play and he was

Pretty active defensively in the spot I thought the Hawks did a pretty good job attacking the rim in the first quarter when nurkic who’s their Primary Center was playing up at the level of the screen in the first half a lot and uh kind of similarly to what the Hawks have

Been doing and being carved up for it on the back end the suns were not executing that very well and that was certainly help for the Hawks in the early go both both offices did cool off late in the game so late in the first quarter

The Hawks led by three points at the end of the first trade had a hot start he had 11 points the Hawks shot it well and that was a kind of a nice start for it everyone involved bogy made his first three shots of this game leading in the

Second quarter actually his fourth one though was actually a pretty hilarious heat check airball that everybody kind of laughed about including him but he had a nice L to a Kongo after that the Suns kind of got back into the game tied it a little bit with a mini run in the

Middle of the quarter Lo had a nice 10 to2 run mid quarter in second quarter with a Kong in quarter three uh Quinn won a challenge actually that was a foul called on Trey and clearly did not foul him Trey got up and was calling for the challenge right away uh it was

Overturned pry pretty fast by the officiating crew so that was an easy one for Atlanta ironically I thought sadique Bay had his best defensive half in a while before he exited the game a couple good moments when he was actually in the primary action defensively and didn’t

Really have the mistakes that he usually has or we sometimes has off the- wall so I thought actually he played well defensively offensively lesso but still some nice flashes some encouraging stuff there from sadik uh late in the half click capella had a truly awful stretch

Of shooting around the rim he missed two or three in a row one of them was like a literal curve ball where he had this weird spin on the ball for no reason at all like uh it hurt them badly in that stretch I have to say um even as someone

Who is of course higher on Clint than most um it was the right calls we’ll come back to later on to playu more than Clinton in this game he was just flat out better and that one stretch late in the first half was really unsightly for capella no question about that still the

Hawks were up three at the half and in a good place despite not even shooting the ball that crazy well they were really good in the supporting metrics before halftime um as I noted before Baye rolled his ankle late in the in the second quarter I should say he was

Hobbling um ended up being done for the day we didn’t know that until the third quarter started but I kind of observed and I think it was the first one to even say that um West Matthews was out there starting and that as soon as you see

That it’s like a dead giveaway that b b gone for the game they would not have started him if Bay was available and it was the first time all year V have had to play with sad Bay which might sound crazy but he’s played in every game

Sadique Bay has been for all of his shortcomings extremely durable in his career Quinn talked about that after the game a a little bit as well so last year he played 77 games year before that 82 games and the year before that he played 70 games for the Pistons but that was

The year that I believe the Pistons only played 72 games so yeah they were he’s basically missed like five games in his career like he’s been extremely durable and uh he missed the second half in this one so it was the first time all year

Year that they had to go without him and without Hunter available they literally had one power forward on the roster you know moay is hurt as he has been all year long so they had Jaylen that was it so they had to go a stretch in the

Second half with Wes Matthews at the four uh which is not a great setup the other option would have been to go with two bigs which they’ve done some this year but against the Suns not great in terms of match up wise to have to go to Capella and kongu and also capella

Wasn’t playing that well so it was the right move to go to West for a brief time Jaylen played a lot of minutes in the second half as should have but a weird weird weird situation without Bay and Hunter unexpectedly as well um Booker got a little bit loose in the

Second half he had nine points like four minutes start the half some danger zone stuff there there was a run by the Suns to take the lead briefly a nine to2 Push by by Phoenix capella missed another bunny it was actually a Miss dunk that

Was a sort of a half hour from hell for Capella’s way I put that just he just could not get anything to go down in that stretch uh Murray got a t for throwing the ball into the stanion in frustration he had really struggled to

That that point and I will say as I said earlier briefly he was very good after that but he was really really kind of non-existent invisible rough in the first two and a half plus quarters um crucially Fenix stops stops turning the ball over so like the one advantage the

Hawks had in the first two and a half quarter was s just kept giving the ball away that stopped and that led to Fenix taking the lead but from there it was kind of leaning to the Hawks so the Hawks had a free point late in the third

Quarter when Suns backup center Drew Eubanks got a t for flopping and it was the right call he did flop but that’s not one you see every day and then the Hawks had a 70 run to close the quarter and that felt like it was absolutely stealing for Atlanta because it came

Without Trey without Jaylen and without sadique and had West M did a three in that in that stretch it was a nice little uh wrinkle for Atlanta to go up by five going to the fourth quarter and then Deon came alive so he had a stretch

Early in the fourth quarter he had a nice finish at The Rim through traffic then Steel in a layup and the HW up by nine points he was much better in the fourth quarter in fact as I’ll say it now he had 13 points in the fourth on

Five9 shooting before that he was two of eight and I think he had six points in the first three quarters so he was a different guy in the fourth quarter which is certainly big for Atlanta he was much more engaged both the floor really AO played a lot of minutes I’ll

Stop here for a second he played the first sorry he would he would have had to play the final 15 and a half minutes to close the game without ever coming out off the floor so they brought capella back in with about seven minutes too and Hawks fans freaked out and I was

Trying to say look they they can’t really I guess they could have played a rest of the way but they don’t like to play him that many minutes in a row it’s hard to do that as a center uh they played capella for about two and a half

Minutes they brought a kongu back in and that’s pretty much exactly what I would have done you know there are nights when capella is better than a Kong Wu um the metrics tell an interesting picture there when it comes to Capella being ahead of a Kong all of them this year

For the most part but there are nights when it was it’s very clearly in a Kongo game and this is one of those games like it’s nice to have options they have probably too much in terms of resource allocation at center right now but one of the nice things about that is that

You have these two good options so Aang Wu is smaller and more um flexible and more malleable and more skilled and I think that that that all kind of played up in this game and by the way he just played really well so they handled it

Well at the end of the game they closed with him that was the right move um and just want to put that out there for a second Trey had a pretty pivotal steal on Durant that made it made a three to go up by 10 um they were still up like

Six points with four is minutes to go and there was there was a big swing that was kind of a weird thing so Durant and Gordon hit back-to-back threes the Hawks did score on those trips on the in the middle of that to kind of make it a wash

But then the officials about a minute later actually overturned Gordon’s 3 on replay saying saying he was out of bounds now this does happen in NBA um people that not are not watching a ton of NBA basketball may not know this but like one of the things that can be overturned without an

Official review in the course of action is a three-pointer either foot on the line or foot out of bounds because the the league in salkus can watch that basically on the replay Monitor and say he’s out of bounds and that’s what happened so essentially they took three

Points off the board for Phoenix and that gave the Hawks a nine-point lead minutes later the Suns actually won a challenge to overturn foul the Hawks got so there was lots of officiating at the end of this game but from there the Hawks were never comfortable but it was

Never particularly close either like be M look at a three Jaylen had a huge rebound Deon did miss a three that could have ended the game right then and there but defensively they got a stop on Grayson Allen missing a shot the Suns kind of really didn’t foul they almost

Got of gave up a little bit earlier than you would see and then Murray had a dagger layup to go up by I think it was eight or nine with about 30 seconds to go and that was kind of the end of the game so again Murray’s really good late

That’s was a big part of this and then defensively the Hawks held the Suns to 25 points in fourth quarter and that’s a very very strong thing so lots of noise obviously the Gordon thing got a little bit of attention because got overturned but it was the right call like you can

See it he’s out of bounds so it’s it was a little bit weird that it happened after the fact but it’s allowed and that’s what it is so it didn’t get tight you know the Hawks have had some meltdowns at the end of games with with

Leads and if the Suns had played up a little bit more would have been a little bit scary maybe at the end of the game but they were essentially up you know six seven eight points that entire crunchtime uh run and it never got super

Tight as a result of that and the Hawks again steal this win they were you know up the entire not the entire game but they were up most of the game by a modest amount somewhere between you know three and 10 points and uh they held on

So we’ll have more on the individual stuff in a second but just again offensively just enough plays all the way through Trey for three quarters three and a half quarters and then DJ in the fourth bogy had a huge stretch in the middle of the game that ended up

Being huge he was plus 13 in the game so um positives all the way around and we’ll have more of them when it comes to the individual play in a second but first our final word from our sponsors on today’s show today’s show is brought to you by

Mills and Wes Matthews um just as a note here they actually Co they call Kobe buffin up from College Park he was inactive for the game not the first time this has happened they like to have Kobe around the team College Park does not play for a few days so that’s kind of

Why that happened I know nobody loves that but that’s kind of the logistics involved they had Trent Forest active he did not play um I don’t love having Trent active and not playing him because tonight was his 47th game and if you’ve missed this before two-way guys can only

Be active for 50 games so he is almost to the point where they’re going have to make a decision about like whether to keep him around because if you’re on a two-way and you hit your ceiling there’s not really any reason to keep you on a

Two-way so keep keep an eye on that in the next week or so um no Garrison Matthews no adj Griffin no BR Fernando but Patty played 10 minutes I didn’t love it honestly I don’t think that was a good match up for him in general I almost would have maybe gone to Garrison

Because he’s got more size defensively um but paty was just like you know it was he was just kind of small I don’t think he was bad just small and missed all three of his three so kind of tough stuff slighting there but they were still able to win those minutes West

Played 13 minutes six points hit two threes that were big he took a couple of bad shots I have to say some pretty overzealous shots from most Matthews but certainly he’s Rock Solid defensively and gave him value of the minutes for sure uh the other guys on the bench a

Kongu and and bonovich were awesome in this game bogy 23 points in 34 minutes he was four five on twos four of seven from three five assists four rebounds no turnovers just an excellent game from bogie now he is one of the uh primary offenders when it comes to bad defense

And tradition I will say B is pretty bad at that but offensively he is so valuable and that is uh something I talked about yester with Andrew and so and so on and so on he’s a very valuable piece of his team he was really good in

This game and we’ll leave it there for now aanga was awesome as well 15 points seven rebounds two blocks um one of his better games of the season I have to say you know 27 minutes seven of eight from the floor one of one from three plus 23

That was a game best by a lot he was really good it’s a good match up for him for sure but um he finished around the rim he made the right decisions over and over again no turnovers um yeah just a really good night from aong Wu uh if he

Was this good all the time it’d be a little bit easier to kind of make decisions I think a little bit for the Hawks but I think he’s uh he had a really good game in this game so it was the right move to handle it the centers

Way they did in this one playing him more he was just way better than the capella in this game and sometimes it’s the opposite but tonight it was a Kong wo and uh well handled by everybody involved and nongo was awesome in this game speaking of which capella 11 points

10 rebounds for Clint in 21 minutes the finishing stretch in the end of the first half beginning of the second was really really rough no question about that I think it does get overblown um because people just remember only that that’s not a new phenomenon but I do

Understand it it was it was I’m not making I’m not missing words it was it was really bad like really really rough and again they made the right call to play kongu more I don’t think that was like the entire story on Capella’s night I think he was not so bad other than

That but they were hurt they were hurtful and he’ll have to be better than that tomorrow and Beyond so leave it there for now but he was not his best for sure in this game sadique Bay uh didn’t play very much because of the injury he cost him the entire second

Half 16 minutes he was one of four on twos 04 from three I said before and I’ll say it again now I think he actually one of his better defensive games of the season now that doesn’t mean a ton but it’s certainly helpful I will say though his offense man it is

Really hurting them it’s not a huge topic that I’m not covered before I have been saying it for a long time casess you’re a new listener Bay’s shooting slump is remarkably bad right now like it’s also the worst of his career by a wide margin and it’s going on for longer

Than you would you know be comfortable with so it’s one of those things where the last 27 games that’s about a third of the season so that’s a lot it’s a long time he is 41 of 167 from three that’s 24.6% this is a guy that even with that

If you include this stretch and you should his career 3 point percentage is 35% before that coming into this year if you want to start over before this year he was I believe at like 36 plus percent from three in his career now so this stretch is already cost him a full

Percentage point on his on his full career numbers he is not as bad of a shooter but he’s not shooting the ball with confidence right now I don’t think he’s also shooting the ball it’s always been flat but it’s not looking good he’s not on balance a lot I think he’s

Pressing a little bit so you know tough sleding like there’s not really anything you can do about i’ I’ve said this before but the solution is not to have him stop shooting that would be a terrible solution he’d have to not get like the Hawks will never tell him not

To do that I think he has to shoot um he just isn’t making shots right now but anyway I’ll be positive and say defensively he was pretty good in this one by his standards and offensively just uh it’s a shot making issue but we’ll come back to that we need to and

Then the big three in this game Trey Deonte and Jaylen Johnson 38 plus minutes for all three guys that’s a lot on a back to back but I understand why it was a close game it was a short-handed game for as all reason I said before you know no Bay for half the

Game no Hunter Etc and all three guys had good had good moments Jaylen was just okay I don’t think he was particularly good nor was he bad he was just kind of okay 16 points seven rebounds four assist a steal on a block had some really high highs as he always

Does had some shaky lows as well but uh you know he was fine defensively he at least he at least kind of bothered KD but obviously was overmatched most people are KD is impossible to guard so that’s not a shot it’s not a shot Jaylen

At all I thought he was all right just solid enough uh Trey had a really good game 32 points 15 assists three steals for Trey he was four of six on tubes and seven of 11 from three it’s not every day that you see Trey had 32 points with

Two free throw attempts he’s usually a much more free throw drawing kind of force than than that but he was really good um also like pretty def defensively a couple of pretty notable plays on Steals and turnovers and he had a block and three steals in this game drew a

Charge Etc so I think Trey played very well um did turn the ball over seven times but other than that like he was pretty good in this game and then Deonte I said it before but kind of a tale of two games but like the first three

Quarters and the fourth quarter so he was not efficient in this one particularly when it comes to three three-point sh was actually one of eight but with six of nine on two so that’s very solid got to the line eight times eight rebounds five assists 22 points um

Really big in the fourth quarter like he really was I think he was kind of shaky slash not good until then but it all counts and he was really really effective in the fourth and they don’t put the game away without him so that was notable to me as well all right lots

Of words on this game but in the end a very very nice win for the Hawks briefly here I’ll touch on uh something when it comes to trade stuff by the way I we did a little bit with the injury yesterday I do think Trey young was snubbed like

Legitimately snubbed should have been on the All-Star team uh the way that I put this is like I and I said this to on social media but my real beef is that Trey should have been a wild card um if nothing else like I I have no interest

In litigating Trey versus Maxi or Trey versus Brunson or Trey versus Mitchell those are more nuanced discussions I do think that Trey versus PA banero is not even particularly close to be honest so that was that’s the frustrating one for me Trey did a pretty good job on the

Podium tonight he was asked about it he didn’t seem happy that he was that he was snubbed he did say he would that he would take the uh the injury replacement nod if he was given it he was it was a pretty mature answer although you could certainly see the frustration boiling

Over from that a little bit so that’s the right tone I think in a lot of ways but um I thought he’s gotten just a lot better with talking about this kind of stuff since his rookie season Etc but anyway I don’t want to single out Paulo

Who was a really good player but I think that one pretty clearly goes to Trey we’ll leave it there for now speaking of the Andrew conversation we had yesterday Andrew Kelly and I talked for two parts again two parts listen to that podcast for sure about tradeit stuff um not a

Ton since then my friend Jake fiser of Yahoo reported the following quote the Hawks continue be described by rival Executives as the most active and aggressive team in the marketplace motivated to discuss the majority of its veteran players headlined sorry highlighted by Allstar guard of Jon Murray arguably the best player known to

Be available end quote so that tells you at least in the chatter the Hawks are still very active and quote motivated to discuss the majority of the veteran players that includes Murray of course but also capella and Hunter U he talked about AJ Griffin being a notable piece

That’s been discussed um also he said that bogi’s been valued by the Hawks a lot which I talked about a lot yesterday I’ve heard the same with Andrew um bogie is not like an Untouchable by the Hawks but they certainly seem to Value him more than the guys that they were

Offering up more freely so look we’re five and a half days away now as I’m recording this podcast um Thursday afternoon is the big day so we’ll have more on that if we need to but uh hold your breath A lot’s going to be going

Into that and again if you want more on the trade stuff two parts from yesterday myself and Andrew Kelly and from here the Hawks play again on Saturday at home this home stand is still going they play the warriors on Saturday um a turnaround for both teams actually actually as as

Funny as this is it’s actually going to be a rest Advantage for the Hawks despite the fact they played tonight because the Grizzlies played sorry the Warriors played in me in Memphis against the Grizz they have to fly in and do all that so that’s a little bit more of an

Advantage actually for the Hawks even on the back toback so that’s a small thing there but notable nonetheless and at the moment pre-injured reports and all that stuff the Hawks are favored by about two and a half points at FanDuel so we’ll see if Hunter plays we’ll see what ba

Plays we’ll see what words look like roster wise but a winnable game for sure um The Warriors are not as good as the Suns for instance and beat the Suns at home so keep that in mind we’ll have a we’ll have a podcast as we always do

  1. Hawks playing better basketball and becoming more consistent. You just feel that if they could add another impact player off the bench to provide some key points, rebound and block, they can finish the season strong. Odd situation, the Hawks are in at the moment.

  2. …Warriors are playing really well, Jkuminga is a real handful. Hawks have to be at their very best if they’re to win tomorrow.

  3. Learn something new from this podcast everyday! Had no clue two-way contracts had limits to the amount of NBA games they can play

  4. And our owner is still actively having Landry try to find a four team trade that works to dump salary! Great win by our Hawks tonight! Despite the organization looking to break the team up for saving next year salary!

  5. Last night was a prime example y the hawks need an upgrade at starting C, CC would be great coming off the bench but not for atlanta, i'd take wiseman at this point, a trade for bojan and wiseman. is a great move, get his salary off the books, i can live with dre over CC

  6. Q is able to get the hawks more shot attempts, it was noticed last year against boston how the hawks take more shot than their opponents, that is due to CC leading the league in offensive RBs , the CC affect this is what he brings
