Game NBA games you win a game you never apologize for it no matter how it comes it’s never easy certainly wasn’t tonight for the heat but you got to like the push Miami had after that slow start to put away the Wizards and win this game

It we sat here at half it’s a three-point game and and you’re going listen this is going to go one of two ways quickly in the second half because when teams hang around then they think they can hang around and I thought Miami coming out in that third quarter exactly

What we talked about in the pre-show the pointing communicating we didn’t see it in the first half we saw it in the third quarter so it’s no secret that they held the Wizards to 15 points in the third quarter to me that’s where the game was

Won yeah you talk about it defense is such a part of what the Heat’s identity is and how they get going and they did in that third quarter we’re going to get reaction from he and Coach Eric spul with the players in just a bit but let’s

Start with the third quarter acity game summary because that is where the game turned again miy fell behind by a couple figures in the first half they cut it to three at the half and then in the third quarter Amy as you highlighted the defense came to life and as you also

Highlighted before is that that defense usually leads to good offense and it did in the third yeah you look at the shooting percentage a lot more challenge a lot more more intensity a lot more I always say present on catches forcing tough shots and by the way got to point

Out the rebounds too Miami a season High 59 rebounds tonight you want to control pace of game you want to control and dictate Tempo it always starts on the glass so I thought they did a great job in that column as well and by the way multiple strong efforts from guys on the

Glass night was great it was great to see and when you see the assists which we highlighted in the pre-show about the 38 they had in the win against the Kings the eight and the third quarter and you point over to the scariest Terry Terry

Roser what he was able to do look again it’s pretty clear his offense is far from a shooting perspective is it where he wants it to be just yet but Amy he’s not letting it impact other areas of his game he was a big Catalyst in that third

Quarter you know what will he he got whacked in the face drew some blood and all of a sudden it was like our game in little pockets that ended up meaning a win yeah and again plus minus isn’t always the best indicator but I think it

Can show you something now and then he was plus 15 tonight he made made winning plays when he was in the game as you mentioned even when he was missing some shots that offense will get going getting going I think is the best way to describe what Jimmy Butler’s done the

Listen it requires a lot from him physically to to do this but this team with that seven streak has got to win games and we know like he’s one of the biggest guys he’s the guy that this team looks for to get things back the momentum back in their Direction what I

Love is he had 24 it took 10 shots I most of those early the aggressiveness early and set the tone bam a bio too you could a double double just made his third All-Star team many more to come the way he plays but how was he able to

Offensive players and offensive teams that that spread you out and everything it just takes a great deal of commitment to be able to hold teams down and you know it was a little bit of an uneven uh offensive uh game you know I thought we had some really makeable shots in that

Uh fourth quarter uh we weren’t able to knock those down but I like the process of that the third quarter we were able to put both sides of the floor together and um that was probably our best stretch there but um the resolve and um you know that commitment on that on the

Defensive side of the floor that’s uh progress in my mind Jim asive how much other guys yeah it allows us to control the game better you know particularly when you’re on the road it it doesn’t really matter but uh home or away but definitely I mean You’ like to do it

Both home and away but if you’re able to control the game and get into the bonus on the road that certainly helps um we’re able to set our defense you know so many times uh from that uh and different guys were able to you know get

To the free throw line because we were in the bonus you know I think early pretty much in every quarter and that was a result of Jimmy’s aggressiveness um youan know our pain attacks in the first half were great it was one of our more aggressive games and we missed a

Lot of shots like inside the circle uh but the aggressiveness uh was there and then the defense in the second half uh in particular you put that together and ends up being a pretty physical game um you know on both sides of the floor and we’ll definitely take that speaking of

Aggression Terry maybe not from the field but from the line and he got there and he’s helped settle things I think he finished 1111 from the line how much was his attacking and aggressive approach help yeah that that uh that unit in the third quarter uh really broke the game

Open on both sides of the floor they really disrupted defensively and then uh you know he has an ability to play off the ball on the ball uh to get to the basket he can draw some fouls create something you know out of really not a

Whole lot U so was Jimmy him Klo uh haime um and I I believe uh Jay Rich you know for part of that that period of time that that group you know had a really good uh flow and you you can see the uh the possibilities uh with Terry

Uh he’s a guy that you know you know to a fault he wants to fit in he wants to compliment you know once he gets comfortable you know these are the shots that he’s he’s made a name for you know over the course of uh his career and in

Particular the last uh you know two or three years I I know it’s not about Ste but the zon stabiliz certain put up so many yeah you know uh it it’ll differ game to game you know where we need you know to adjust our schemes it’s really

All-Star break starting with the Clippers on Sunday you also have games coming up against magic against the Celtics uh continuing Milwaukee Philadelphia were your team’s positioned right now maybe regaining his footing a little with these last two games how do you feel about the final six going into

That Allstar can’t play them all on Sunday but I know our guys are looking forward to the competition you know uh the Clippers I think are the hottest team in the league you know right now um it’s in our house uh we had some good decent stretches uh in LA but then they
