Fuck AKME, fuck Reinsdorf, fuck everything. Not to go tinfoil hat but I gotta wonder if talks with DET picked up and Zach said “yeah no chance, I’m getting surgery instead”

Edit: I’d really like to think it’s not the case but the way Sham words the tweet… like why is it Klutch and then the team (instead of Bulls medical staff)

Edit 2: yeah, you can’t fake a physical, I get it. Just hate how it’s framed as “everybody got together and decided on surgery” (implying there were other options). I hate this fucking org

  2. Instead of trading him when healthy and when everyone knows it’s time, let’s try to compete to make sure he def gets injured

Man fuck him lol. Not even mad he’s not playing, we’re better without him.

But NGL this timing is insane. Kills the rest of our season because we can’t make any trades now.

What other NBA team has $60M+ worth of salary done for the season? Memphis? That’s gotta be the only comparable team.

  4. So we got about 60 mil sitting on the bench now. Things are going great

  5. Iamnotapickle

How about that? What a wild ride it’s been with him these last couple months.

  6. RzaAndGza

We should’ve let him walk rather than sign the max contract. We should have traded him for literally any pick when he was healthy. We should have traded him for a salary dump when he was hurt. Now it’s too late for any of that.

  7. “So AK, what’s your plan for this teams long term outlook?”

    “Purgator.. I mean uh, continuity.”

  8. SmokimNoah

Why are we made at him if he’s actually injured

The FO should take this as an opportunity to see what they can get for Demar and Caruso. Let’s give up on the fantasy that we’re better without Lavine

  9. AK not trading him before the season was an epic failure. This is a disaster of a franchise. Completely rudderless.

AK should be fired. He’s shown again and again that he is not capable of making the hard decisions necessary to win in this league.

Plus, he’s an asshole. Saw him in Vegas and simply said go bulls and he scoffed at me.

  11. Really sucks for Zach, hope he heals up fast

Sucks even more for the team though wow what a nightmare

  12. DirkToThePacers

Last deadline was the correct window to sell LaVine, potentially DeMar, etc. AK said no to any offer waiting for some miracle to fall into his lap, and now LaVine and DeMar aren’t worth anywhere near what they were.

Everyone saw this coming, but we just had to keep this mid group together to compete for a fucking play-in appearance.

  13. Rshackleford22

Lmfao wow fire AK for not dumping this bum last season

  14. bobbybacala3

He has a player option in 2026, and is unrestricted in 2027. We are now tied to him. This is incredibly unfortunate. This front office had 0 vision

  15. persons777

Hey, if he’s closer to the 4 months than the 6 months, he could be back for the finals.

  16. Parking-Tree9012

Just more reason we should trade demar. Stop trying to get brownie points by looking like you want to be competitive when you have $50mil permanently glued to the bench. it’s  ok to lose. Fucking spurs and warriors were cool with it

  17. Critical-Adhole

Hahahhahahahahahah we fucking suck and have no assets

It will be at least 5-6 years before we can rebuild even a semblance of a new playoff core

  18. rhoran280

AKME really the worst executive in the history of chicago sports how the fuck did that happen
