I mean you have to assume he’s starting there is NO chance he doesn’t. I hope within the next week-1.5 weeks the lineup is Simmons, Cam, Mikal, random 4, Clax.

please god let this just be the “correct” answer and not an indication that JV is salivating at the idea of sending him back to the bench.

If he does go back to the bench, what does that really say about this team?

You are apparently turning down multiple firsts for DFS and Bridges to hope a team that basically only beat Detroit in a month of games can compete with Cam on the bench?

You go 3-1 with him starting in this little stretch after that really bad month+. You win games with him in the lineup to start the year. At what point do you realise it’s just better to have Cam starting?

I fully expect him to start but I cannot think for one reason why you wouldn’t just confirm it? Especially if internally you know you are selling at the deadline. Just worried this tough love might make Cam go when Brooklyn might need him most

I think he’s just being coy.

Honestly, DFS probably played his last game as a Net anyway

Omg get rid of Spencer Royce and Dorian please. Vaughn will have no excuse not to start him after that.

I think JV is right. Why would I start a guy when he gets 30+ mins. drops 25+ points mostly efficiently and just drop 40 pts and 5 dimes tonight. If that’s not a bench player, I don’t know what is.

    Disrespectful tbh.

The man showed he has the offensive punch needed to pair with Bridges to make each others life easier.

Imagine if Boston’s coach wasn’t willing to start Brown dispute the fact he literally plays great and can make life for Tatum easier..

Vaughn is not the coach for our future, how many times does he have to prove that to our roster/fanbase/ownership before he has to go?

Besides, JV yapping nonsense, im surprised CT aint going to the all star game for rising star challenge

Given that this team is not good – it makes no sense to put him on the bench. Let him learn.

Early in the year when we were competitive every game, I got the idea of letting him be a sixth man. Now , he needs to be playing and so does Clowney and Wilson.

JV has to get with the program or marks has to force him to by trading the vets.

Am I the only one who thinks he knows he’s getting fired? “I’m not sure what our starters are going to be going forward” seems like something a coach who knows he’s on the way out would say

  11. Dude’s words sound like he’s trying to save face. Actions speak louder than words though.

Legitimately do not care about this conversation anymore. If we take the correct path and rebuild, CT will be starting by the end of the week.

  13. Paul_Ignasious

Vaughn is a fraud, let’s be real CT has gotta start in order to grow, he could be goat status given the right play time and pieces

Tbf, we don’t know who’s on the team by tomorrow for sure so we never know.

Feel like JV hates CT because CT constantly makes him look stupid for keeping him on the bench. This is dating back to last year and that stretch of 3 straight 40 point games, and JVs response was like “we still have a losing record” and didn’t praise CT for a cool feat. JV is weird

JV needs to be fired. Cam HAS to start at this point in the season. Who else is a consistent threat to score? His defense isn’t that bad for him to be benched for it, considering how teams have been doing to the rest of the team.
Cam is the only player(and maybe Claxton) that bring a level of excitement to the core fanbase. We know what we see in Cam, the kid is special and has a future that looks to be bright. Now if JV can get past his personal feelings(ego) and help Cam grow, maybe he wouldn’t be on the chopping block.
