Did The Milwaukee Bucks Just Turn It Around?

Did The Milwaukee Bucks Just Turn It Around?

So good stuff again from the Bucks all the way around uh they come back from down 25 and just find a way and that’s what this is about chopwood car water find a way it tonight was reminiscent of that Portland game um from earlier in the season where I think they were down

Like Bard in 25 and they found they found a way to win now I think that was at home um when when that one took place so again I I just saw just so much positive things so many positive things that happen around this basketball team

And and ask you this question before we go on the Dame discourse do you think tonight can be a rallying point for the Bucks moving forward because there are so many games within a season um or at least let me not let me rephrase there

Are so many seasons where as a team you can think of maybe a game that changed the course of momentum and and swept through and made a team feel a certain way maybe they they they didn’t have it all together and things were were a problem and you’re not liking the

Coaches and and you’re having all these issues and defenses problem and and then tonight you know you get to because you know it’s always what they say It’s always darkest before before the light comes and could tonight have been when you got down 25 in the first quarter if

You if you let go of the Rope there I mean you talk about some of the questions that are going to happen to you when if that takes place could that bounce back tonight be the spark that Sparks his team gets them through to the deadline and gets them through to the uh

Um U to the allstar break and and and and and propels them for this back half season run that the buckser needed gonna go on uh to if they want to compete for a championship so I’m I’ll go first here I’m G say yes but not in the way you think right okay

On a surface level there a win against the Mavericks without without Kyrie and okay whatever right but when you dig a little bit deeper this team has had three coaches in the last two weeks right you’ve had they’ve had a coach fired in the in the middle of the season

When they were second in the East and yes there were some things to clean up but we’ve never seen a coach that damn successful get fired midseason in their rookie year of being a coach like we’ve we’ve never seen that right we talked about gar herd getting fired with the

Wizards and he was like 13 and 30 or maybe 13 and 40 back in 2000 20201 right right when uh when Michael Jordan was hired as as president of the of the wizards but we’ve never seen anything like this where a coach from a record perspective get fired like this have

These issues these internal issues with this team an interim coach gets Nam from his staff and then they actually hire a new coach like actually hire in the same I mean this is absolute chaos any way you look at this this last two weeks

Right so I look at this win as this is a momentum Builder because if you think about everything that’s going on that this team’s had to go through right it’s like hey all right so now the new gu’s in and we got to win under because we

Were 0 and2 at first and it looked a little bit Shake I mean granted in the big scheme of things you know was it oh my gosh the season’s over no but it did look a little bit shaky under dock because then we were we were even asking

Hey this is a historic offense why do they look so terrible how did he come in and slow the offense down what’s going on here right so I I think this is a win helps everybody Buy in everybody stay FOC everybody kind of get used to Doc I

Mean again to be fair I think they had their first practice together yesterday yeah did did I read that it’s correct correct so it’s good and and again and and and here’s what I will argue with you and everybody on Twitter when you’re a brand new coach with a

Team if you don’t H every game until you get that first win is a must-win I 100% would argue that if you’re a brand new coach with a new team every game is a must win until you get at least that first win because if you start out 0 and

Five 0 and four that is just a problem that’s a lot of pressure that creates a lot of tension with and it’s just not that’s not a spot you want to be in so yes every game until doc got his first win was 100% a a must win I’ll go ahead and

Take the other side of this I don’t think so and the reason I say that is because I need to see some consistency from this team if this was a loss if they ended up not coming back and storming back and winning this one there would have been plenty of questions I

Mean I I think this show would be completely different if they start 0 and three in his tenure so I need to see some consistency and then also when you talk about I mean obviously we we touch on this every show it feels like but the trade deadlines coming up so there may

Not be this same exact Squad there so I’m going to have to see some more consistency and and and down the line after the deadline they got to be playing their best ball so I can’t really say that this is a big momentum Builder because look we’ve had big

Momentum Builders you beat Boston by 40 and and we asked the same question oh is this the turning point in the season and then they end up going and dropping bad games so it’s like I I can’t say that this one in particular against the Mavericks without Derrick Lively without

Kyrie Irving that that this one is uh uh big momentum Builder oh again those are good points Chris uh again because but but it’s one of those things you you have to win this game just because those guys are out so I I agree with you um

And John just so you know so it was again 73% no 27% yes on the it’s tonight and must win

The Milwaukee Bucks found themselves down TWENTY-FIVE points in the first half vs. the Dallas Mavericks. The Bucks beat the Mavs 129-117. Trey, Jon, and Chris discuss whether or not this win is a rallying point for the Bucks in game three under Doc Rivers. It’s the Cream City Crossover. We are here to stay.

  1. I think there’s been too many "momentum changing games”. Like I said. Have to be more consistent for me to believe that.

Thanks for the support guys y’all are great 💯

  2. the difference was cleary dame's focus. i was thinking 90pts but a 30 burger at a 90% clip? i'm convinced. it speaks of all the hooplah surrounding this team. a locked n dame is very scary hours w this particular cast. fun fact: the bucks have won every single game dame played well n so far. that is telling. the man's a catalyst

  3. Look, from day 1 I have been telling people that you can’t overreact to this veteran group regular season up and down moments. This team has the highest ceiling by far than any other team in the NBA. The distinct difference between Doc Rivers and Adrian Griffin is that Doc Rivers has the voice and credentials to get this team motivated to give effort on a night to night basis throughout the regular season. Another thing that I am noticing and what I knew would happen is Giannis is going to begin taking and making any wide open 3’s or midrange shot going forward. This will be the Doc Rivers “Rondo” effect where Giannis is going to have the green light from 3. He has to begin to take that shot with confidence and just be a threat to keep defenses honest and to fully take this team to its ceiling. He doesn’t have bad mechanics on his shot but usually misses when he hesitates. He is going to have much greater success shooting the 3 ball than Rondo in Boston which is going to lead to open drives to rim for dunks and and 1’s but more importantly much more drive and kicks to open 3 point shooters. Also Doc is sticking with veteran players in the rotation. He is setting a tone making sure the vets are all comfortable in understanding their roles going forward. Once that is set, you will see Marjon, Ajax, AJ Green, and Livingston get plugged in at moments. Doc Rivers will have a Phil Jackson with Lakers in 1999 like effect on this group. That’s why it is clear as day that the Bucks will win the next 3 championships.

  4. Horst needs to go meet with Utah's front office today and find a way to get Kris Dunn. That's the type of defensive savage we need next to Dame.

  5. well, if you count playing luka and a bunch of scrubs, meanwhile getting a bunch of favorable calls from some refs that are clearly "letting them play" then yeah. but don't be surprised if they go on another losing streak. just saying.

  6. GIANNIS NEEDS TO GET DAME INVOLVED EARLIER. I NOTICED DAME DIDN'T LOCK N UNTIL THEY WERE DOWN 30. HE'S LETTING HIS GAME COME TO HIM "NATURALLY". GIANNIS NEEDS TO "FORCE-FEED" HIM EARLY ON & OFTEN BEFORE THE DEFENSE KNOW WHAT HIT EM. HE CAN HAND IT TO HIM ON HIS SWEET SPOTS SO THAT HE MUST TAKE THE RHYTHM JUMPSHOT WITHIN THE FLOW OF THE OFFENSE. DAME IS TOO COMMITTED TO THE ROLE PLAYERS
