Buddy what’s going to be out tomorrow uh and we’ll be questionable for the remainder of the week with right knee soreness but at least we get to celebrate Sunday with a W Bradley Beal finally got his 40 piece you guys yeah he seems so damn frustrated though that body language sucks shut up

Perk yeah no that was uh that was great and we have been talking in pregame how Bradley Beal needed to get right game and we were hoping the Vibes in Washington would be high for him and they absolutely were Wizards fans gave him a great Ovation before the game

Practice and so you’re familiar with their game and we’re going to get you out of this fun so yeah I mean couldn’t come at a better time I mean this game was exactly what the do come on Flex stop it with the positivity the the big three did absolutely nothing in the

Fourth quarter and that is just unacceptable oh man I mean they didn’t have any minutes and it was impossible for them to do anything but still damn it still look the Dark Knight returned to DC and he played a hell of a game and I love everything that we saw from him

Outside of not hitting a three as the first bucket I he had uh basically a perfect game and his first truly Bradley Beal game as a son and if you get even 80% of that the rest of the way this works exactly the way that people

Thought it was going to yeah right and and it’s nice to see that he finally adjusted to the mask that that it doesn’t seem to be a problem that he found that three-point shot again and and that is one of the the most encouraging things I’ve seen from the

Suns team is that if you get Bradley Beal the actual actual Bradley Beal this team goes to another level that we haven’t seen all year yeah and I mean listen I don’t think Bradley Beal has been bad prior to the mask by any means I think it’s just been a a process of

Getting acclimated to a new team and the big three the mask is completely understandable that he would kind of take a little bit of a step back there because he’s quite literally relearning his court Vision out there so that makes sense so this game was just the perfect

Timing all around like it was very poetic that he’s back home for the first time since the trade this past off season the way that he was welcomed by that fan base like which he deserved 100% And I’m glad that that’s the reaction he got from that from that fan

Base because sometimes fan bases will turn just for the sake of turning even though they know what an athlete has done for their city in their franchise yeah it they’ll just do it just because they feel like they kind of have to you know what I mean which we see all the

Time with Saul talking trash about Cam and Mel I get it I’m yes whatever but it was just very poetic that this was the game that kind of was there to write the ship for Bradley Beal get him out of that funk and allow him to realize that

He also can still perform at a very high level at an All-Star level with this Mass situation he’s got going on and it doesn’t have to be something that holds him back yeah I feel like the Washington fans even knew he stayed a few years too

Too long and too loyal right so holding it against him I don’t think was ever going to be the case there in Washington it was great to see and this is an an occasion where a tribute video makes a hell of a lot of sense and I’m glad they

Did it uh in the starting lineup the way they did so he could truly appreciate it and honor those fans the way that they were honoring him as well because a lot of times they’ll do it in like a timeout in the first quarter or something I

Don’t think that’s fair to a guy like this I’m glad they did him uh did him the honor of doing it in that starting line it was a whole minute yes like a whole minute of video for Bradley Beal and I agree I’m glad they did it pregame

Too because then we got 30 seconds of Brad kind of taking it in the moment with him and the fans and the bowl and everything so it was good I mean he’s one of the greatest players in their franchises history and one of their longest tenured as well so it was welld

Deserved for him and I like I’m not going to put a ton of stock into this game itself like there’s there’s not a ton to digest from this one honestly a good team beat a bad team and that’s what we wanted to see them do but there’s some reassurance in that like

They still technically lost the fourth quarter but it was by two points and it’s because they were up by 30 going into it so it was irrelevant at that point and you close out the road trip with a 4 and three record You’ve Won 15

Factor of the game maybe third time I don’t know was it second or third time in a row nk’s been on one lately though yeah ner been hooping he finished with 18 points eight assists and 13 rebounds in here also snuck in a steel yeah this

Is he’s been able to show this over the last month with the big three consistently healthy but this is why early in the season when he was struggling to finish I was kind of pushing back like okay he’s not being optimized right now his optimal role is

When those three guys are out there as a connector as the guy who’s going to get a lot easier looks around the rim than he’s been getting so far with one or two of them out there and we’re starting to see that now and he’s been able to

String together a lot of good performances um and again continues to be the sun’s leader in net rating in plus minus when he’s on the court the suns are a wildly better team and part of that is because you know their backups have been a little inconsistent

This season but nerk has been the fit that the Suns have envisioned he’s got his flaws he’s not perfect but he is really good when those three are out there and he’s a really nice complimentary piece yeah I mean he almost had triple double at the half you

Mentioned that right he almost had triple double at the half he’s definitely a connector and that glue guy and the suns are better like everything everything Gerald said the are a better team when nurs on the floor there’s a reason why when he doesn’t play they

Don’t win games I think I think they’re on four when he doesn’t play um and so the proofs right in front of you man this guy’s a terrific basketball player and offensively he does wonders for this basketball team now again to Gerald’s point he’s not perfect like he’s got his

Flaws and there’s going to be times where you’re gonna look at nerk and say okay this team is taking advantage of his slow footedness on defense or his not inability to uh you know uhop drop to to uh coverage up top perimeter coverage up top in the pig and roll but

Other than that I mean for all that I take I think he brings more positives than negatives to the basketball team and so that’s why I like ner I think with nerk though even though he’s not perfect I think one of the things you can point out as a positive within that

Too is that he does realize his limitations yeah so there’s not going to be like hurt feelings or a bruised ego if the team has to turn away from him and something else because it’s not working right and I think that in and of itself is a positive yeah absolutely let

Me ask you a question if I if I tell you a guy that scores 15 to 20 points can lead the team and assists isn’t great on defense all the time who do you think of the answer is Steve Nash and uh you Yousef nurkic damn I’m s

Like and Yousef nerkish no but look I love what he can do passing the ball that this team was built on the idea of you don’t need a traditional point guard because you have so many guys that are smart in passing the basketball uh and especially when you get in those

Halfcourt situations with with nerk Beal book KD to an extent when when they’re playing like this you see it and you go okay I I I get this I get how nerk has that Court Vision that really helps so this is the kind of game and I get it it’s the wizards but

We’ve seen this against better competition too where these guys share the ball with vision and and this whole offense makes a lot more sense it’s when guys are missing or they don’t connect on those passes that you go okay this breaks down but nerk is I’ve said it

Before he’s that connective tissue he’s he’s the guy that makes us make a lot more sense and we’ve talked about nerk and K and their connection we saw it with Beal and nerk tonight we’ve seen it with Beal or with book and nerk in previous games I think that to me is one

Of like the biggest you got to give props to nerk for not just finding a connection with one of those guys but all three of them on an individual and a team level too right which is saying something considering they’ve only been playing together for 50 some odd games

Yeah I’m just saying and and that’s the encouraging thing from tonight’s performance is yes even against a bad Wizard’s team against a bad Wizards defense the chemistry and what they were doing out there some of the backat cuts that nerk was Finding Beal or KD on things like that like these are again

They’re building steps they’re moving in the right direction and yes the Suns as a team had 17 turnovers but the starting five only had five combined yeah like they took care of the ball against a Wizards team that’s really good at turning turnovers into points so not

Only were they finding each other all over the court 33 assists as a team but they were minimizing turnovers until basically garbage time when the game was already over you know what I like too ASO is there were times where Kevin was bringing the ball up initiating the

Offense and they try to send pressure and there’s no hesitation to give it to nerk and say run bring this up run this happened multiple times and again these are the little things about basketball players that are not going to show up in a box score you know how valuable it is

When these guys are getting that much pressure and they could just Outlet to that big guy and he can actually get to the top of the floor and initiate the offense and hit Brad be on the back door cut like that’s stuff you don’t teach that’s really good basketball and High

Basketball IQ and I think that’s why I live with the mistakes that nerk makes I live with the limitations because there’s so much more to his game that complement this Victory and you brought it up Gerald five turnovers 27 assists for for that starting five so some of it

Got sloppy in the fourth with with the backups running things and everything but to me this was the kind of kind of game you want to see limited turnovers through those first three quarters with those guys uh Ball moving around a lot this is this is the kind of encouraging

Production for me it’s the fact that like defensively he hasn’t been a liability um he’s been disciplined which is something vogel’s been emphasizing for him just be solid uh and he was that tonight and then he was able to you know knock down some tough shots as well so

That was encouraging and hopefully we get to see in milwauke or against Milwaukee on Tuesday some more the same you know what go ahead go ahe I was just gonna say I was glad he’s available today and but it does give you an option in backing up KD that keeps some size

Really blows your mind and makes you feel like man if this kid could just put it together he actually could be a vital piece of what we can do down the road and the last thing I’ll say is I like where they’re playing him like they’re playing him as like KD’s backer yeah

They’re playing him as a small as a power forward as a poster Center he was on the court multiple times with nerk and Eubanks and so that gives me hope that if they continue to Tinker with this they may have a little curveball for some teams down the road can we
