Same could be said for Olynyk. Last night showed why they’re so valuable. Olynyk is a great passing big and hits clutch shots, and Clarkson is the guy Hardy gives the ball late in games because he has an ability to take over. Last night it wasn’t his shooting but his passing that helped in their win. I’m a huge fan of both guys (especially JC) so I’ll be sad if they’re traded, but if it helps long-term then I’m all for it

THT, Clarkson, KO, and Sexton may all be gone Thursday, crazy times.

I hope it isn’t, even if it doesn’t make sense I’d love to see JC stay.
More than anything though, I just hope we don’t force a trade just for the sake of making a trade. That’s what last deadline felt like and I think we got a really bad return for all the assets and players we gave up. I’d rather just keep JC/KO/Sexton etc if we don’t get a particularly compelling offer. Especially since I think there’s genuine value in pushing for the play-in/playoffs with this young roster, more value than we’d get by soft tanking and trying to keep our protected first. The experience for the coaching staff, the developing guys, and Lauri would be great imo, especially since Lauri doesn’t have any playoff experience and has never really fought a whole series being targeted as the number 1 (outside of like FIBA). It’d be a good test to see how we handle that before we really build into more serious contention.
