Klay Thompson Appreciation

What this guy went through to then come back and win another championship in 2022 was unimaginable and downright legendary. As a fan, just wanting the team to adjust his role slightly to better fit with the current roster and his skill set will never take away who he is as a person and what an NBA great he will *always* be. More great moments to come! 🙏 🧑‍✈️ 💦

I’ll ride wit killa forever 💛💙 he put in work this offseason hopefully it’ll pay dividends

I appreciate Klay. Don’t appreciate Klank

    Klank trade when?

  4. biiirddman

I don’t understand the hate and how people calling him klank. He is shooting 37% from 3 on 8 attempts a game. Other than Steph no one is even close to these numbers on Warriors.

  5. PainfulSalad

The dude is dealing with death of himself as a star. If anyone has ever lost anyone important to them, what he’s going through probably feels a bit like that.

The feeling further compounded by the fact his older splash brother is still a basketball god. I have no doubt Klay will allow himself to become a great role player and eventually embrace it. When he does that, I think he will be able to impact the game in different ways.

  6. ride or die to the end – LONG LIVE THE TOASTER!!

My favorite warrior he is so positive.

Keep your head up Klay we believe in you

  8. Been hating on Klay’s play due to the forced shots and bad decision making but after the brief interview in the locker room after yesterday’s game, I could tell how this is emotionally affecting him even though he’s usually stoic in nature.

He’s slowly accepting he’s not the player he once was. Nothing wrong with that, Dub Nation appreciates this living legend. We’ll ride with you till the wheels fall off. Hopefully this brings some clarity to him and the team moving forward so he can ease the pressure on himself.

Klay will be fine. He’s always been inconsistent. He’ll still have great games for us to come, just needs to understand he isn’t the player he once was.

  10. LordJxnkulous

Nah I don’t even recognize this sub anymore. Talking about trading my Kobe is crazy.

  11. gorillaneck

when klay catches fire he can sometimes be even more jaw dropping than steph, i’ve seen it so many times that i’ll never give up on him. and other teams know it, they respect him. which is our advantage.

we just gotta make the playoffs and mark my words, game 6 klay will return.

  12. 1-415-XXX-XXXX

    He’s family.

I don’t care what anyone says.

I’ll support this man no matter what.

  13. Klay it’s okay….everyone has a down off time. You are still one of the best to ever play the game. Don’t forget that!

Warriors have had success because of you! Just keep shooting , you’ll get it back. Don’t think, just shot!

  14. exemptolive

Defending Klank is a disgusting act. Makes me I’ll.

People on here don’t even try to understand what this guy went through. I think we all need to be more supportive of Klay. Stop saying Klay isn’t good, because that’s not true. What is true is he needs to embrace his role, and if he does that he can still be a great player and contributor for us, even if he’s not the second option. He has a lot left to give, but he needs to accept that and we as fans need to support him in finding that instead of tearing him down all the time. Don’t forget that this guy gave us KD (Game 6 2016) and a third championship (Game 6 2018). Even post injury, his defense on Jaylen Brown in 2022 was incredible. Without him, the dynasty wouldn’t exist. And we still need him. We just need him to evolve.

  16. Klay is legendary. He’s a splash brother. He’s been great fun to watch over the years. I hope he can transition well into his future and find success and happiness. It’s tough for anyone.

  17. dwaynereade

He’s making $45m this year. That’s the appreciation you losers

  18. 30vanquish

He’s basically a sixth man now that needs to play with a pass first PG. He’s so streaky to where that’s what he is now. The problem is he got a bigger ego after winning the 4th ring.

  19. UseCapital164

Oh please, break out the violins !
Nobody is denying the fact that he was a great part of the “dynasty’ but is his immaturity that gets in the way of giving him a pass. Dude was paid close to 85 million dollars while he rehabbed his injuries. He’s never once been humbled in any meaningful way for more than a couple of games since hes come back from injury.

Frankly he was no help in the last championship run it was Wiggins and Poole that brought that one home aside for Steph , Dray and the other supporting cast.

His ego has prevented him from come off the bench, combined with his inflated salary / role expectations is and has hurt the team.. chucking shit after shot while being a turnstile in defense…

Shut up and embrace your role off the bench and contribute that way… instead of what about me, me , mine mine ….

It’s always been about Stephen Curry period !

All these Klay posts I thought he got traded or something bad happened. Jeez.

  21. beachguy82

I’ll never forget that feeling of joy and excitement when he finally returned after 2+ years. When the announcer started saying “Heees Baaaaaack!” I jumped out of my seat screaming and started getting tears in my eyes I was so happy.

  22. CurryDuck

Live and die by the splash bros but his shot selection has nothing to do with his injuries

  23. Steph30FTW

Klay is coming to terms with his basketball career. He just needs more time to adjust.

  24. ALBundy321

Klay will bounce back just you all watch!

The warriors are not finished. Something tells me they are going to figure it all out and it might come with some heart break but Warriors is making it to the playoffs and will have a shot at another championship

  25. Klay sucks, fans hate him, fans wake up next morning, feel sorry about hating him, klay appreciation posts. Rinse repeat

My wife asked me to wash dishes, and I just yelled “Klay Thompson”. She smiled because she knew they were washed.
