He’s been frustrating but he’s not one of the worst defenders in the league Bobby Portis like genuinely is by a lot of defensive metrics and just by the eye test in general he’s just not a good defensive player and I don’t know I I personally want the Mavericks to get out

bobby p. is horrible on defense. mavs fans are delusional and never watched any nba besides the mavs games. keep the roster and make a move this off season. that's it keep the assets and let this team heal and build up chemistry maybe nxt season they can make a run.

Feb 12 of last year was the last time Grant Williams scored six points from the free throw line in a game. It was a strange contest. I’m trying to draw parallels between the dog days of the rangers season and this one for the Mavs. All I remember is everything changed when Evan Carter showed up. Grant is a bad defender. He has this all world highlights reel that he has not played to for the Mavs. He clumsy picking up cheap fouls, not coming up with 50/50 balls. There’s nothing he can do better than Portis who gives you 12-14 a game. Portis only has 3-4 years left.
