“The Lakers look at the landscape and think it’s hard to imagine given what is available, they will be a better team by trading Russell,” Wojnarowski said.

LOL, fine. Now the Lakers’ approach changed. ESPN really wants those clicks. 😂

  3. tennischmp

They are trying to get more leverage before Thursday

  4. Odd-Direction9452

    A nothing report lol.

DLo’s play hasn’t changed anything, the market has.

Lakers holding firm on price is a good call. I think Murray would be better than Dlo for us overall, but not 2 1sts better.

  6. kasaan110

lol ok so no Murray deal damn Anthony irvwin was right everything he reports a while ago is being reporting now.

  7. How long before this sub flips on DLO again if we end up keeping him past the deadline

  8. ProblematicAndCrazy

Murray is a better player than D’Lo, but is he “D’Lo+FRP+Swap” better? No. He’s not

Good. Unless the deal clearly fits our needs and makes us better I see no reason to make a lateral move.

  11. If we don’t make a trade now that means we have more flexibility in the offseason. I know LeBron is old but one 1st round pick vs. 3 could make a world of difference on what this team can make itself into next year.

  12. Ok we have to give Buha this one, he had this one out early this morning.

  13. As it should. I think the best scenario if the Lakers want to keep him, reconstruct his contract in the off season

  14. blacPanther55

Hopefully this is a last minute propaganda piece to get leverage because Dlo will not hold up in the playoffs.

  15. TriggerHappy999

Last year Russell traded, this year another Russell will be traded

  16. outsidehere

If he makes it past the deadline, he’s gotta keep up this form of 20+ points per game

  17. HowSoonIsMeow-

Basically Lakers have leverage and aren’t looking to get fleeced.

If so this screams that the front office doesn’t know what they’re doing. D’Lo is incredibly streaky and I am so confident that if we don’t trade him, he will have a 3 week cold stretch starting with Thursdays game.

If they were going to try to upgrade on him, this recent play shouldn’t dissuade that. If they’re pivoting to a wing after the Vando injury at least that would make sense.

  19. I went zero dark thirty on the trade deadline last year and it was much more peaceful. See you all on Thursday night

It’s weird that the front office’s plans, much like the fanbase, supposedly changes sometimes game to game. Incredibly shortsighted if true. We know what DLo brings by now, his highs and lows, so a “reemergence” shouldn’t be anymore of a surprise than a slump. Feels like clickbait articles that feed into the current temperature of the fans really

Saying that as a DLo fan who hopes he can somehow stay

  21. Late-Celebration1038

Whys this only a discussion about who is better between Murray and Dlo? Why can’t the both be on the team with Dlo as the 6th man and Murray closing in the 4th?

  22. discussionandrespect

We need to trade Gabe, JHS and Wood. 2nd round picks and maybe a 1st if it’s the right trade

  23. GlassOnion25

There’s just nothing out there that will significantly improve the team. I don’t blame the FO not making a splash move. There’s one move that COULD change things that we have been clamoring for but that ship has sailed too

  24. halcyondread

Dlo’s regular season production hasn’t translated to the playoffs on multiple teams he’s played for already. Lakers are playing a dangerous game gambling on what’s most likely fools gold.

  25. Miseriesscompany

Lakers got bamboozled by DLO, He is who he is, this version of him isn’t sustainable, he’s shown that throughout his career. I can almost guarantee you he will not be this player in a month and we will all be on here lamenting about how Lakers fucked up by not trading him.

  26. kindalikeacoustic

This front office needs to not spit in the face of a good player whom actually wants to play here . DLo has flaws , but he understands the expectations that come from being a Laker , and doesn’t shy away from it .
