Really like not so much for $225 million he’s overpaid but the Raptors might be able to flip him might be able to flip him you have to remember like as much as teams want Bruce Brown you have to remember he’s making a lot of money will

A team have enough cap space to do that it would have to turn into a salary dumping situation uh which is possible and the Raptors could maybe swing another first round pick out of this one but considering that they probably could have gotten better in the summer definitely could have gotten better a

Year ago if they if it was clear to if it was clear to the front office that Pascal was not a part of this team’s future which they made it very clear in the in this summer they should have done a much better job in maximizing his

Value um this continues to plague Messi and and uh kind of taint his reputation a from a front office standpoint because he he still struggles to get the highest value out of the players that are on the team but at least they got something out

Of this one um it could it should have been not could have been it should have been a lot better than this go though um this blew up thankfully when the trade dropped I was sitting right here at my work desk I have a little stand for my

The depth of this team didn’t improve with this trade in fact the already slim depth this team had got worse especially if they trade Bruce Brown for anything additional but yeah um at least out of the trade here you know you have picks you know I I don’t

Like I I think it’s being overstated weak draft class is it as good of a draft class as normal perhaps not but there’s always opportunity to find good players out of it there’s always an opportunity and the Raptors have put themselves in a position to take some swings now look this is just

This is what the situation was the trade great not really it was meh but our situation now we have the Pacers first round pick for this year if things continue in this vein I mean that could be late teens early 20s not tremendous but hey good players land in those areas sometimes we’re

Going to have the worst first round pick of the Jazz the Rockets the Clippers and the Thunder that’s likely going to be 25- 27 so late first round pick we have a Pistons second round pick which going to be a 31st or 32nd overall so we have

Three picks in the range of 20 to 32 for this year three opportun look they’re not the greatest pick but that’s three chances to take a swing on some prospects and if you find one in those three that becomes a regular rotation piece for your team

That could be deemed as a success on top of those three picks that you have for this upcoming draft you can TR you might be able to flip Bruce Brown to get another pick for the draft who knows where that could end up I think any

First for Bruce Brown would be great and now all of a sudden the Raptors who sent the top six protected pick to the San Antonio Spurs it’s entirely possible the Raptors do not do that well for the rest of the season get some Lottery luck and

End up in the bottom six they could be staring at five picks all before 302 overall that could be the reality for the team and you’re giving this good scouting team messer’s best the best thing with CID does is are usually draft days the that’ss where he’s at his best

You are going to give this this group three to five shots at finding some serious talent in the upcoming draft I understand you may not think it’s as talented of a draft as we’ve seen in the past but you’re giving this group a big a lot of chances to find something to

Hit the next level so there you have it um we’ll see we’ll see what they can do there uh can Indiana really sustain the best offens numbers in NBA history um of course they can uh whoever has the best offense in the League this season will have the best offense in NBA history

Like don’t think about it don’t like you don’t don’t think about the the offense as like the best in history whoever is the best offense in the League this year will have the best offense in history because of the scoring um the way Indiana play they absolutely can’t

Sustain being the best offense in the NBA um for sure um however if there’s like could could there be a dip Indiana’s thin have they may overperformed a touch like that pick could definitely move down who knows what Indiana looked like in 2026 you just never know uh I like they’re not a

Team that’s like a shoe in to be an incredible team in 26 the top 26 206 pick is top four protected listen if they’re they believe siakam’s going to be there long term which they do and tyres Hal’s there long term they’re not a bottom four team um at least very

Unlikely they’re a bottom four team and if they are a bottom four team you still have to get lottery luck so um Raptors are likely selecting in 2026 with that Indiana pick so you know there’s we’re giving the front office some chances here with these draft picks

So as much as I’m not like crazy about this trade there’s some Silver Linings that we can look at for sure uh I also did see that yes Freeman Liberty got called up hopefully he has a pton Watson type of pton Watson Jan Freeman Liberty are very very

Different players pton Watson is is um uh like a very stringy athletic sort of guy 6 foot n switchable Defender like he’s he’s that type of guy that the type of guy the Raptors usually like whereas Freeman Liberty is is a guard a bigger guard but a bit of different players

See how we do today think of this move for Indiana is their draft picks past 2024 still there it’s not like they handcuffed themselves like the Clippers two of the three picks convey this year well one of them wasn’t theirs but they do have the 2026 pick they gave so

Indiana cannot trade uh up until 28 they can trade their 2028 and 2030 picked now so they can only move two picks if they want to make a move which granted like it’s fine they can do that but it’ll it’ll be inter to see how aggressive they become and what

Sort of moves they can pull here also like it depends on the young guys how good they get like if jarus Walker starts to emerge which seems less likely now that there’s another power forward there but if jarus Walker starts to emerge maybe he can play as a three

Things change up if Andrew nard continues to grow if Ben Maan starts to play at a in a way that affects a team at the NBA level then things could work things could work Grog says I don’t mind the trade but still want Darko fired I I I liked

An offense at all so it’s it’s a bit strange how he built up that reputation but a lot of time for he’s going to he’s going to have time look time’s on his side now there’s there’s a it’s very clear that this team is not a competitive team now so if the team
