This at like 9:21 when does that ever happen in my life it’s really nice and so they they get the win they had a really good first half where they were up you know they’re up at halftime and you go all right I’m feeling good 65 to

47 they’re up by 22 you’re like all right 20-point lead now in the in the NBA right now A 20-point lead is not that much anymore yeah it’s like a 10 point it’s a new 10-point lead 20-point lead can go like that just look at for

Example the reason why the Mavs won this game the Mavs at the end of the third quarter led by Luca and Kyrie went on an 110 run in a minute 16 of game time a minute 16 you can score points like that in the NBA right now it is insane so the

Map’s taking a 22-point lead was not like okay we can put take our foot off the gas but that’s what they did and it seemed like they took their foot off the gas gas so they go on that run to end the third quarter you’re feeling good

About them then they’re back up by 20 and kid decides let’s start Luca and Kyrie in the fourth to start the fourth quarter to close it out right that’s that’s where I thought that decision went he said let’s close him out and they couldn’t do it they couldn’t put

Him away and the lead got cut to like six with five minutes left and you had to play Luca and Kyrie deep into the fourth and they ended up playing they both ended up playing Luca played 24 minutes Kyrie played minutes in the second half and to me that’s why a win

Can sometimes be a little bit of a loss okay I can see that the lead did shrink but they could have easily set Luka for a few minutes they were gonna lose that game they they cannot hold leads I disagree they could have had Kyrie out

There and he they would have been fine I think well Kyrie played he played a bunch he played yeah but I’m saying you could have St 40 minutes in this game too so Luka didn’t have to play 43 do we really want Kyrie playing 40 minutes on

The second night of don’t want Kye playing 40 40 minutes either but I guess that’s just where we are that’s what I’m nurse it’s all that’s why I’m saying it’s it’s somewhat of a loss because you’re playing against the Nets they have not played that well lately they’re

17th on offense 17th on defense this is a team you should be able to put away that’s actually shocking and they can’t put them away they’re 17 17 for the season not like lately but that still surprises me I would have guessed easily 25th they just looked so bad sometimes

But they can’t put teams away but the reason why they actually got the win though Kyrie and Luca when those two guys are one w b and they’re playing like they did combined for 71 points which is not more than Luca scored in that one game which is wild if you think

About it like that LCA 18 rebounds nine assists what did you see from the stars in the in in this two in this game which was just the reason why they won because they led the way yeah Kyrie obviously I felt like Kyrie he played with a little

Uh extra tonight going back to Brooklyn and feeding off the crowd a little bit even though the crowd sounded half Mavs fans I mean what was going on there never really thought the Mavs fans traveled that well apparently there’s a lot of like slovenians in attendance is

What uh I saw I don’t know that it’s more about Mavs fans traveling I think it’s more just like are there Nets fans okay that’s true that’s a fair sorry lock on Nets Adam Doug apologies Nets the Nets crowd is like the Rams and Chargers crowds and football exactly

What it is basically playing I get to see Luka and Kyrie and they’re both gonna play tonight oh yeah heck yeah I’m going down yeah but Kyrie being aggressive early was like really really big and um for Luca an interesting game an interesting game from Luca where there was some frustrating shots just

Not just Luca as a team felt like in the third quarter especially and in the start of the fourth quarter they were playing so fast which you know they’ve they tried to incorporate into their game and it’s something that has helped them I think a little bit but there were

Some shots like six seven seconds in the shot clock that were just Dastardly and it’s like you could in a bad way yes you couldn’t have got you the shots that you could get especially with Luke and Kyrie on the floor shots you can get you know

20 seconds into the clock and I just thought it was kind of weird and they kept you know match match up hunting uh Nick Claxton which was not working at all I claxton’s a defensive player of the year level guy whenever he’s surrounded by good teammates and uh he

Was I mean he played some great defense on LCA like some phenomenal individual defense on LCA and they just kept going to it it was shocking there is an interview that Isaac and I did with Spencer dwiti which it’s ironic that Spencer dwy played in this game but Spencer dwit in media day

Two years ago sat down across from me and Isaac and we said tell us something about LCA that we don’t know and Spencer did what he said it’s one of our most viral Clips we’ve had go around like social stuff he said if you go to Luca and you say okay

Here’s one player you score 1.5 I’m making up the numbers 1.5 points per possession against this player and you say you and you say here’s player B you score 8 points per 100 per per possession against this player so like a lot less and Luca Luca will decide to go at

The player he scores point eight points per possession on every single time and we looked him in the face and said you’re talking about Rudy goar and Mike connley aren’t you because it was just after that playoff run and they had just played that that series and he uh did

Not confirm it but he did not deny it either and I think it’s that like Luca is this is what makes Luca Luca those plays where he’s going up against Claxton to me were some of the dumbest things I’ve seen him do be he got blocked on a fadea away jumper like

Great great defense you got to tip your cap yes but it’s just a bad decision yeah to do that and but it is what makes Luca Luca it’s it’s just like the complaining to the refs it’s that’s all competitiveness it’s just like the playing through injury stuff competitiveness as well he played

Through this broken nose thing and or whatever the N what the nasal cavity contusion what do they call got hit in the face and this is what makes Luc LCA is that he’s going to go at those matchups and so you have to live with some of that stuff and you’ll sometimes

Get insane step back threes where he there was a play where like Claxton and I think it was cam Thomas were both running at him at the same time and he could have just passed away because there’s obviously two guys running at you yeah but instead he just takes the

Shot because that’s Luca dastardly in a good way yeah he does he loves those when he sees the double team going coming and he shoots over it quickly embid does that too I feel like that’s what a great score especially early in games it’s like all right let me see

What I got tonight really quickly here like this double team’s not here yet let me let me shoot over this if I make it I’m I’m cooking I’m going if not I’ll start passing out of these but uh yeah no I mean Lucas still had a good game

Don’t get me wrong like he still had a good game and hit some huge shots and I mean 18 rebounds or whatever was I mean that’s crazy uh he’s he’s a great rebounder for his size and I I feel like it’s unfair when people try to discredit

It by saying all of them are uncontested or whatever it Le the same say some of them are Westbook rebounds like the ones where St remember the ones where Stephen Adams used to like get out of the way like just leave see but I didn’t even

Like that because I think Russ is a tremendous rebounder or at least in his prime was a tremendous rebounder for a guard too but there’s some strategy to letting your point guard grab the rebound immediately you push the ball but uh yeah I thought luuka played well just some questionable offense again it

Wasn’t just Luca there was some Tim possessions and some other possessions even some Kyrie possessions who he was red hot all night but even some shots you’re like all right can like especially when the offense is struggling mightily over like a three four minute stretch can we just settle

Down and get a decent look instead of just rushing the first terrible shot we can get how many 358 games do you think there have been this season I’m gonna guess 35 points 18 rebounds this just this season I only did this it’s either a higher number

Than you would think or lower I’m going guess six five you were right there there’s been six now with Luca you nailed it yeah you nailed it there’s been six with Luca embiid probably four times embiid’s uh 70 point game he had 18 rebounds joic had a 38- 19 uh Lebron

Had a that 36 and 20 against the Warriors in that double overtime game uh yic had a 36- 21 against the rockets and then Giannis had a 35 and 18 against the Cavs uh just a couple weeks ago so and now Luca joins that list so it’s just uh

Then a stretch where they’ve made two of their last 14 and we’ve said it all season long when they’re making threes their defense is like legit solid they get back they get set they move around well they fly around well they rotate well when they’re when they miss threes

And teams get long rebounds whatever the case may be the defense is a monstrosity so I mean it’s really that simple one of their problems I think that they have and you you alluded to this with the amount of Threes like that they are giving up they they have too many
