The second half and we can finally make something happen I think that’s what we really saw a consistency to go to Kobe white in the second half and you know what I said this before right because kobby white in the first half it it wasn’t that he was taking bad shots he

Just couldn’t get anything to fall and this is why I say I don’t want Kobe taking bad shots I want Kobe taking his shots he was making people go the wrong direction getting them just enough out of position to be able to knock down a shot cat’s ankles still haven’t

Recovered speaking of uh uh prayers up to Tony Brothers um that was a weird transition there but it made me think about it uh he he ended up uh messing up his Achilles per case Johnson crazy so I hope that he is able to get back into

This uh uh back onto the court uh sooner than later an Achilles injury for Tony brothers who went down Bulls only had two refs on the court God dang it get out of there Tony Tony go get that taken care of brother what are you doing he said even with the Achilles

If that’s factual or not but what I will say about that is this Co Kobe white to me uh showed in the second half what he is as a leader and what he can do when he’s locked in how he’s able to go out there and play how he’s able to go out

There and attack and how he’s able to get guys off balance and finish through the contact I loved what we saw from Kobe white and I think that um with how he played in that second half it elevated everybody’s game that is something that we do talk about when we

Talk about number ones on a team leaders on a team guys that you want to be that next level player that makes everybody better tonight Kobe White made everybody better on the court in the second half yeah Kobe white elevated his game elevated he put the team on his back

Like don’t get me wrong Kobe white has had some big performances in uh uh in this season for sure right I don’t want to make it seem like he’s this is the only big performance he’s had but this one felt a little bit different the the

Amount that we were down by the fact that that you know it he did it in the fourth quarter he he he was taking players off the dribble everything like Kobe this was probably the game where it felt the most like a superstar type performance from Kobe white not saying

He’s reached that level yet he hasn’t even reached Star level yet he’s having a star level impact but he needs to do it more consistently before I could say that but this felt like the most statement game that Kobe white has had yet this season in a season where he’s

Had a lot of really good games no 100% And I think that’s the thing about you know what we saw in this game one it wasn’t just him going out there and making a shot Stacy King pointed this out as well down the stretch right there

Was a point where Kobe was knocking down everything and all of a sudden you saw the defense shift a a player that’s inexperienced a player that’s young a player that just feels like I got it going I’m going to keep shooting is going to go out there and keep shooting

The ball no matter what the defense does to him in this game we saw Kobe white in that fourth quarter in the second half overall right continue to get guys involved in the game did a lot to to uh uh make the assist to get the ball

Movement started got a couple assists in that second half as well and in OT so you like what you saw from Kobe getting the rest of his team involved as well I feel like outside of just having a guy that can go out there and put up 27 and

A half 30 and a half um the Bulls may have a guy that’s able to go out there and be a leader and that’s something that we thought we may have lost with Pat Bev because it felt like he was our leader in the second half of the season now

We’re sitting here talking about Kobe white stepping up like I said if everything else fell off and the leadership skills that he seems to have developed stayed the Chicago Bulls have a steal for $10 million a year over the next couple of years yeah I mean and

It’s up to them to kind of put take advantage of that because if he keeps playing like this it’s more going to be max level money for sure you want to take advantage to put this team around him draft well right so you got young players on rookie deals when his

Contract kicks in so you know Kobe White you know we’ve talked about it so much Kobe white deserves to be the story this season for the Chicago Bulls and just seeing the the the way that he’s just continually added to his game uh all throughout the season like I’m so

Impressed by what he did this one and you know it’s not that it was all just him I mean now in the fourth quarter it basically just was but second half of the game you know he scores overall 30 points in the second half but you also

Got Nicola vich as well scoring 18 points in the second half of this game and coming up with some some big buckets at times as well yeah yeah I thought V played really well in this game he felt a lot more locked in uh uh in this one

And one thing that I’ll say um this is I mean maybe we talk about this more in the best win of the season and kind of break it down a little more in depth but this is the best that the the Dual bigs has looked all season now that also

Helps when you have Rudy gobear who also right like he’s he can move but you’re not worried about him shooting that shot you could put drum out there in a lot more of those situations but Andre Drummond went out there and him and the the ing of him and nikol

Lavich they focused so much on drum’s like surprise impact I think that it allowed V to get so many open looks yeah yeah I mean and you know we’ll talk more about the overall game because I do think this is one of the best wins of

The bull season but I I like the way that vots let the game come to him and the the line lineup the double big lineup with him and drum uh you know I thought it made sense to use against this team I was a little bit worried

About what that did to the bench depth but Billy Donovan coached a really good game picked out those minutes really well and uh you can’t really knock too much this was a game where almost everything came together in the way that we needed it to in the second half but

Let me throw this to you to kind of get get back on the topic with Kobe white do you think that this game and especially with demard Rosen you know you know it going to him in the in the game-winning shot do you think that this now has hopefully earned him more opportunities

At that game-winning shot uh from from Billy Donovan to kind of go to Kobe a little bit more I think what it is is you still going to you’re still going to play the numbers game right yes Demar didn’t end up knocking the shot in but

Got a good look a look we’ve seen him knock down before look he’s knocked down a million times in his career I do think if it comes to a game-winning situation the Bulls will go to Demar but I think what this changes is dear was not the

Close the game out no they kept the ball in Kobe White’s hands couple of times where the ball went to dear and dear worked it back around to Kobe because you just kept it going it it’s amazing to see what can happen when you keep the

Ball in the hands of the guy that has the hot hand right you know what I mean like it’s it wasn’t just hot at this point it was like Hey listen when when I say I want him to take his shot he was taking his

Shot it was some bad shots in there too though oh yeah there was definitely some bad shots but at that point you’re unconscious you’re going to hit everything that Kobe white was at that that’s why I said this was like the most Superstar level performance we’ve seen

From Kobe because at some point it just looked like Kobe was just out doing stuff he was just like hey I wonder if I can hit this one leged behind with one arm behind my back and one eye closed let me go aad and take that when when

When uh when Vu set the screen up top I want to say it was on the left wing and like ant just was like he didn’t like run into the screen or anything he just kind of like stood there and Kobe was like I’mma pull it like he didn’t Kobe

Didn’t move he didn’t do anything to like run him into the streen I’mma pull it and just jacked up a deep three I was like my goodness like he the one thing that I do like about Kobe uh um and not the one thing but like the thing that I

I feel game wise I really enjoy about watching his game is in the first half when he was off still made an impact it wasn’t that he was just out there still made an impact still kept his team engaged team was struggling nobody could hit a shot ant was absolutely going

Ballistic against us my goodness um we know what he is we talked about that but then Kobe in the second half when it got going knew I’m keeping my foot on the gas I’m keeping my foot on the pedal so when he’s not hitting the shot still

Impactful when he is hitting the shot even more impactful and still doing all the other small things that’s that’s a number one that’s a number one guy yeah in first half of this game he was once for seven from the field 0 four from three-point range but he still chipped

Figured it out all right get rid of them wait a minute a hold on but I I think right like I mentioned the Vu and the uh um Drummond lineup this is the first time I’ve ever seen the V and Drummond lineup work this well again I do think there’s a difference

With how Rudy go with Rudy gobear being out there versus having a smaller power forward out there the 65 66 power forward like a lot of teams are putting out there now six seven guys drum’s not gonna be able to keep up with those guys V ain’t gonna be

Able to keep up with those guys so you can’t run those lineups as much but this is the first time we’ve seen it where right I saw somebody in the comments say my line putting tall guys out against tall guys is important yeah and and that’s what you did tonight and you

Dominated on the boards and that made your life a little bit easier in that second half I also think just the um this is the best intensity that I’ve seen from this Bulls team to close out a game where there was a deficit we’ve seen the Bulls have I I would say even

Smaller games than this right in 15-point games where the Bulls work their way all the way back take a lead but they’re still that moment where it’s like it you ran out of gas you ran out of energy maybe you had enough points to win it maybe you didn’t the Bulls have

Been a lot better in clutch moments this season I think they’re now 15 and 12 on the season in clutch moments this season so it’s good to see that but I think you checked a lot of boxes as far as your best win for the year and and you put

You put yourself over the top against one of the best teams if not I I would say arguably the best team in the western conference right now as far as how many pieces they have that seem like they’re finally starting to come together yeah yeah I mean listen

You the Timberwolves team is is a really good team uh like I said I go over the numbers and stuff with them defensively it’s good and it’s the way that the Bulls now I won’t I won’t lie like I get it we the second half is what won us the

Game we did end up winning the game we could feel really good about that but you’re not always going to be able to come back in the second half of these games and so you know that’s why I say and preach so much over on my channel

Like it’s about playing the right way throughout the whole 48 minutes now that’s not to knock what the Bulls did they this was a team win Billy Donovan as I alluded to in the first segment that he made some adjustments in this half defensively that it just makes you

Question why do we talk about adjustments lacking so much with the scene because clearly he made him in this game yeah that’s and I think what we saw that was so encouraging especially like you said right making adjustments in that second half was that the the adjustments were actually

Implemented we always talk about Billy making adjustments and I always wonder right like how many times he come out and say we’re going to do something different the players go back just doing what they do yeah which is still an indictment on the coach right it’s still

Like Hey listen like your players ain’t listening to you but I I just can’t believe that you can watch an entire first half like and it’s not like that’s the first time we’ve seen a first half like that where a team comes out lights out red hot you’re kind of cut the lead

Down but then they get out to a big run at the end of the quarter and then you just go you come out in the second half and go hey guys like all right maybe let’s not do that what we did in the first half to finish that out let’s go

Back to this let’s make these things happen blah blah blah and actually seeing them implemented on the floor that I’ll say this tonight’s win felt like Pat Bev was back on the team last year because remember when Pat Bev showed up and there was a point guard

That was like this what Billy want us to do this what we gonna do yeah this how we mooving this is what shots we take and this is how we go like when you saw that to to me that’s what I saw in the second half along with Kobe white

Getting hot and I think those are the things that really lead to a big win for the boys yeah and and I love that you pointed that out because Billy D system if you look at the most success I know people are going to there’s knocks on

Him as a coach I’m not saying this eliminates yeah plenty of knocks but when his system works the best and he’s had the most success it’s come with a point guard that’s played at an All-Star level basically he’s always had that when when his teams have won the most

Games so um having Kobe white play at this level is really going to unlock unlock a lot for him and um that’s when do you do and and Kobe white growing as a leader as well buying into the system the system being one that is working for

Him it’s gonna help everybody else fall in line and because we know Billy Donovan unfortunately is not going anywhere for at least another two years if not more having Kobe white as your point guard now and in the future that is buying into Billy Donovan’s system

And is growing as that vocal leader for you on the court is going to help the system kind of operate that much better and I’ll say this while IO hasn’t played a lot of point guard this season he’s been mainly been the off ball guarder on

The wing um him too when he gets out in transition he makes the system flow a little bit better I decision-making in transition is something that we haven’t talked enough about this season and didn’t flash a lot this this game because of the defense he had to play on

Edwards and things like that but I also think that’s another reason why in some of our wins and our better games the system has looked so good and I also think you had opportunities right again we how many times have we talked about the other guys yeah I didn’t have the

Game that we normally see him have tonight but guess what Tory Craig stepped into some very crucial moments and made some big plays C was cat was lights out for every three Co White made cat was like Hey anything you can do I can do better and I’m taller my guy but

You see Tory Craig get out there on that last three-pointer that was a that was a a good wide openen look until it wasn’t trory Craig closes out gets a game saving block saves the pass back in and then they fight for the ball and the

Bulls end up coming away with it the little things right guys that are willing to do it Kobe white taking that offensive uh uh charge call uh was that in the fourth quarter I believe to to allow the Bulls to go up to get to 115 right like there’s so many small things
