The way I see it, benching Poole is a win-win. We get better basketball to watch, and Ted wastes $30M per year on someone who doesn’t play (fuck Ted).

Too much Poole hate rn (while valid). Man I’m actually enjoying watching wizards games again. This feels great. Earlier in the season I would barely even turn them on. Now I’m glued to the TV. Very excited for next year hoping we draft a solid player. Losing isn’t fun but I’ll watch competitive play with heart over whatever the bullshit they were putting on the court in Nov/Dec
Lmao at Keefe’s whole demeanor at the press conference. I don’t even know if he wants to be the coach of this team long term. He seemed wholly unbothered. WUJ had the personality of a houseplant but even he didn’t seem disinterested during the press conferences.

I’m so sad for and about Jordan!! I don’t even know how he can begin to turn this around?! I can’t see a rebuilding team attaching picks to get off his contract…it’s so sad
Poole’s performance is inexcusable at this point. Can’t blame it on early season newness, you can’t blame Wes Jr anymore, I have no idea why he’s been THIS bad.
For a guy that built up a reputation as a gym rat, to progress to a key piece on a championship team, none of that has translated as a full time starter, on one of the worst teams in the league.
He can’t even put up empty stats. We really took for granted that he was in a system that allowed him to flourish playing next to HoFers, while being able to not have to be THE guy every night.
There’s no where for him to get traded to, he’s going to have to figure this out, or just stay in purgatory. At the very least he’s helping us get a great pick.
As a guy who is absolutely rooting for Poole to succeed, seeing him play horribly is one thing but for him to get boo’d by the home crowd is tough to watch.
Hopefully one day in the near future he can look back on these moments and laugh. Dude has lost all of his confidence.
