Well you see, it has been raining so the floor was a bit slippery

  2. ConsistentRip7398

I just hope we never have to see the pelicans in the playoffs

  3. aPimppnamedSlickBack

That was their “best game of the season”. We had a bad game, on to the next.

  4. Function_Fighter

Detroit just butt fucked the kings, they aint gonna be easy.

Bet yall the Pels gonna shit the bed their next game against the fucking lakers.

  5. Thus, our 1st spot was a matter of two F5s in a 24 hour stretch.

  6. standard lazy performance vs the god tier pelicans

  7. When did you know this was one of those games?

Kawhi getting picked from behind off an inbounds

    Kawhi missing 2 FTs

PG missing almost everything all night

When you saw we were playing the Pels on the schedule

  8. NetGlass4387

nothing to be mad about, we were tired from the long trip, but we have got a very very clear weakness

  9. floppelganger

PG is too comfy, nonchalant on this team. He has no mental focus to be one of the top dogs in the league.

  10. Jerry990916

Humble game, stop saying we already a championship team. I know we did a good job on the road trip but we still have lots of room for improvements. BTW Zion really murdered plumlee in the fourth quarter…

  11. OverallInternet2343

Team needs to improve its interior physical defense and no having Zubac is NOT enough. You can’t have teams run the same play 4 times right at the rim.

  12. Charliebitme1234

Apparently the team flew in this morning, which only makes sense if harden took the boys out to magic city

thus i will conclude that this loss is due to that

  13. BicycleChoice

Glad we home. Few days of rest will get us back on track. Get the Pistnones on Sat.

  14. Key-Ad1311

I want to see a new PF on this team by TOMORROW.

You have less than 24hrs FO. Get it done.

  15. A preview of playoff P tonight, I’m not sure Kawhi is godly enough to carry him to a chip.

  16. PG still gotta be playing with some kind of injury. Isn’t he?

This game makes no sense after his early bully mode this season.

  17. If the clippers don’t make a move for a switchable 4/5 they should heavily consider playing Kobe Brown at the 4 and Theis at the 5. As for Plumlee he can’t be in the rotation he’s such a defensive liability and at times he forgets how to rebound and box out

  18. nepats523

I know its first game after long trip and all that, but that shouldn’t excuse the 8 TO 1st/11 TO first half and one player going full 2k online and singlehandedly dragging the first half shooting from 60% to 44%. That’s ultimately what did them in.
The second half schedule is fucking brutal, so there will be even worse scheduled games than this (both Bucks 2nd of back to back, I think in a two week span), we need to at least not dig ourselves a huge hole like this regardless of how bullshit the schedule is

  19. buffythebodyy

Pg a terrorist, cold shooting night from the team, Pelicans wanted to heat up today of all days, lost the turnover battle as well as rebounding battle. All this game showed me is that we truly need a rebounding 4 because time and time again in most of the teams losses, size and rebounding at the forward position have been our biggest weakness.

  20. This team will be cooked in the playoffs when they go cold from jumpers, no one on this team can drive and finish at the rim.

  21. Evening-Maybe-4129

Games like these make me nervous for the playoffs. I hope it was an off night for Paul George.

  22. nikejordan1000

Mason Plumlee is nowhere near a championship-caliber backup center. I need another Lawrence Frank masterclass tomorrow.

  23. Smores805

Rest up PG we need you at 100% come playoff time

  24. mlordkarma

I don’t care what yall say man but Paul George is absolutely trash for the level that he is considered. If he’s off he literally takes the whole team with him. Why does he need to take that many contested shots early in the game digging a hole? If yall expecting Kawhi to be efficient while being double teamed off Paul George and being down fifteen ten knowing Harden is walking turnstile on the other end, yall crazy.

  25. zggystardust71

Not our night. We could never get a sustained run going. We’d turn it over or miss shots. And the Pels were on, they hit shots.

PG13 was cold tonight. He never really got going. Plumlee was too small to guard Zion in the 4th.

We’ll get healthy against the Pistons Saturday. I’ll be there.

  26. MetalItchy2099

Zu was a plus 6 tonight. Defensively outstanding. Most important player against big teams might have had a chance if he wasn’t on minutes restriction

  27. Whatever we got the pistons and wolves coming up. Take this loss out on them

  28. InTheMorning_Nightss

Interesting that ESPN kept saying that this was arguably the best Pelicans win of the season considering this was our first game back after a super long road trip with minimal rest. Anyways, tough night for LAC:

    * **PG Woes Continue:** There’s really no way around it. PG has been struggling the past 2 weeks, but tonight was just *abysmal.* I get people have off nights, but maybe stop chucking up contested midrange jumpers? There is 0 reason he should have led the team in shot attempts tonight.
    * **Poor Coaching:** Love Ty and he’s been sensational this season, but this is arguably his worst coached game in quite some time. You can blame PG for missing shots, but he should also be calling plays that don’t lead to tons of PG attempts. Then that 4th quarter was *rough.* I get it, Plumlee just has 0 chance against Zion. But man, when you see the opposition score on the same exact play about 6-7 times in a row (including multiple And-1s), you gotta do *something.* If you want to restrict Zu’s minutes, then put him in earlier and pull him earlier. Instead, the game got away and by the time the starters came in, there was 0 room for error and CJ put the game away.
    * **PF Needs:** Kawhi seemingly made some comments here, and tonight pretty clearly established why. Zion is hard to stop for anyone, but being forced to choose to defend him with a smaller guy like Russ or a completely immobile big like Plumlee is *not* a recipe for success. Guy like Xavier Tillman would be great here (good trade for the Celtics), though he’s not the type of guy we were really looking for. Either way, this kind of exposed how badly we need some PF Depth.
    * **Good:** Uh? Harden was good, but I’d like to see him be a bit more aggressive. Coffey continues to be a nice role player, and ultimately we lost to a good team that’s a tough matchup.

    Onto the next!

  29. Function_Fighter

PG an allstar going 0-8 from 3s. fucking hell if he’s really hurt why the fuck is he playing?

  30. jgroove_LA

my biggest takeaway is on a bad shooting night for them, the Pelicans are still a terrible terrible matchup for us. we do not have enough length or height to even deal with Zion and Ingram on the floor together. this is why Kawhi insinuated to Law Murray he expects there will be another power forward added to the roster. I also think Ty should have tried Theiss over Plum in the 2nd half. and – tired or not – going small blew the game open for them.

  31. sports_boy_ansolo

Zion just exposed Plumlee and couldnt do shyt against Zu. That just proved we cant rely on this dude comes PlayOffs, really poor rim protector and rebounder.

  32. heroic-puppy

I remember bums in this sub saying PlumBBQ was good lol. “PlumGod” lmfaoo. Dude couldn’t defend a penis from going into his ass lol

  33. skymotion

Weird that Harden disappears from playmaking/scoring in the 2nd after an an amazing first half. Bad coaching. The good thing about being deep is being able to pivot to who is hot, not have George still chucking bad throws with a late clock…

  34. nz_nba_fan

This would have been the 2nd most impressive win of the last 8 games had we taken it out. Guys were exhausted and looked every bit of it. Yet they battled and competed. Just wasn’t to be.

2 days rest and back to it at home against Detroit.
