Duh. His old ass will be nice and preserved if we have to break him out.

[Chris Haynes] Ty Lue says that PJ Tucker will get the start on Saturday versus the Pistons. It will be his first start of the season and will likely not be his last. Lue says that if the Clippers are going to achieve their postseason goals this year, Tucker will have to be a big piece of the puzzle.

It’s sad cuz PJ Tucker is a perfect example of how quickly a player can fall off simply due to age. PJ Tucker was getting serious minutes with the Bucks in the NBA Finals just three years ago, and was playing lock down defense and hitting corner 3’s. Prime PJ Tucker was a killer 3 and D guy, and I’ve seen him on a few podcasts and he seems like a very likable dude.

All that aside, it sucks that 11 million a year in cap space is tied up in paying someone who will likely never see real minutes ever again. Hopefully he is putting some of the younger guys like Bones under his wing.

Honestly not playing him all year and giving him run in certain matchups post ASB is the best way to get use out of him if its the plan. Can’t tell me he wouldn’t have been useable against NOP last night in 10-15 mins a game spurts
