Honestly, I’m very happy about this. I’d love JC to retire a Jazzman.

I don’t think it corresponds with the other moves we made. I don’t think we could get enough value for him to warrant the trade. Teams didn’t want to give a first for an inefficient volume scorer. That being said he could have really helped some teams. I think NYK really came out of the deadline well. I think Bogie and Burks is > than had they traded for JC.

He got lucky, I’m honestly astounded that we didn’t trade him. However, at least we get to keep him for a bit. I genuinely admire his presence on the Jazz, even if he’s having an off season.

I think it is only because he has a huge salary. This summer it cuts off 1/3 and will be a far more valuable trade piece. I’d bet the house he’s gone this summer.

I’m happy. I think he is a great guy to have and his salary gets more affordable each year. Also we will need his minutes down the stretch since we will have to use 3 guard lineups at times with Fonteccio gone.
