[Robbins] The Washington Wizards’ only trade today before the 3 p.m. trade deadline expired was agreeing to trade Daniel Gafford to Dallas, a source said. … So, Tyus Jones and Delon Wright, who had been speculated as candidates to be traded, remain with the Wizards.

I’m just ready to get to the draft man. Besides Bilal, there is nobody on this team who excites me man. I want a reason to be excited to watch my favorite team again man.

Has Dawkins made a trade that anyone felt was good? Maybe Bagley but ugh, our returns have been really bad for our “value” pieces.

I don’t really get the Gafford trade tbh…. PJ Washington netted a huge return for Charlotte and we got a busted project in Richaun plus a late first. Like was Gafford really our only piece worth an FRP this deadline?

Mistake to not trade Delon and/or Shamet. We need to free up some minutes for young guys the rest of the season. Maybe we will release Shamet and sit Delon. Trades from this new front office have been underwhelming so far. Teams be lowballing and we be hardballing.

  4. Wizards just playing the patient play and waiting for SGA to be bought out tonight. Sources tell me he’s a big fan of Jordan Poole and would love to build a franchise with him.

Delon still being on the team makes zero sense

As was pointed out, it’s a tough trade market with a select few times hoarding all the first round picks. Rather see us do nothing than sell the family silver.

you guys can say why are they still here but if no other team wants the players no point in trading them

I’m beginning to believe that Dawkins/Winger are not very good at making trades. No real reason to move on from Gaff for 1 late first round pick in a pretty weak draft. Not getting what you can out of Tyus/Delon/Shamet is just inexcusable imo. You needed to make space available for other younger players that could help you win in the future. All we did was get rid of a good/fun player on a cheap contract for not a good value pick imo.

Tyus Jones staying is one thing, but keeping him after Atlanta pulled Dejounte Murray from the market is *insane*

Did the market for backup PG just mysteriously freeze up? The fuck happened there?

Bro, fuck. I’m sad to see Gaff go.

Hopefully he gets a lot of love down in Texas since it’s closer to Arkansas.

  11. Man, so many insiders on this sub calling out the juicy offers we received for Delon and Tyus! Lowe said we might just resign Tyus this offseason and he would have the same value next season. Delon came here as a FA and I don’t think his value has increased at all in these two years.

I’m surprised there wasn’t a decent offer for Jones. Dude would be a great backup PG for just about any contender.

This team is so bad it’s comical. I wish bad things to happen to Ted

I do wish there were more moves today, but I am happy with the Gafford trade. Wizards get a first round pick, and Gafford gets to go to a better team where his skill set will be very much needed. I am hoping for some draft day trades with the remaining assets. Now, back to simming tankathon.

A lot of teams fighting for a Playoff spot didn’t make a move. Delon to Bucks was reasonable. They just got Beverley for Payne and a second round pick. I don’t mind keeping Tyus because he is a good veteran point guard. Even tanking teams need a point guard.
