Pistons are 100% going to give Tobias a big contract in the summer and big dumbass Morey will 100% match it or improve it it to keep him once it becomes more than kbvious that there are 0 good PFs in the FA Market. My best guess is we are going to re-sign him for 100/3. Maybe even 120

Hield is better than Bogey by just about every possible metric lol and as much as I dislike Harris he’s better than Bogey and Tobi is expiring.

That seems like the right choice to me – Bojan is not enough of a game changer to give up Harris for, when Hield accomplishes a lot in a much less expensive trade. I’ve never totally understood the rush to get rid of Tobias Harris – he is by no means a guy that I expect the team to hold onto like they do Maxey or Embiid ofc, but to take a bad trade just for the sake of getting him off the team doesn’t make any sense.
I know a lot of people hate Tobias Harris but trading Harris for *Bojan Bogdanavic* would be absolute malpractice.
The thing is, if they made other trades…maybe to get another starter or two, and the Sixers were able to get some draft capital, than I think this could’ve made sense. But as a standalone trade, it doesn’t really make sense to do this.
The biggest story from today is about all the players that *didn’t* get traded…Murray, Derozan, Bogdan, Brogdan, etc. Fuck the Bulls btw.
Other GMs must really ask a lot when dealing with Morey but will take the lesser deals with other teams. Meanwhile teams practically give the Celtics free players
The Tobias hate in this thread is crazy… y’all are deranged if you think Tobias isn’t better than Bojan overall. Sure Bojan shoots better and more confidently from three, but that’s where the improvement stops.
If arguing in good faith… it would be hard to say that Tobias won’t be one of the top 4-6 (ish) players in the upcoming FA class. I wouldn’t be surprised if he re-signed with the Sixers. The only way I could see him not doing so depends on whether this Detroit noise is real and they give him a FVV type deal like Houston did.
