Brad Stevens said Jaden Springer’s big game against the Celtics in Philly didn’t have a huge impact on the trade: “We’ve tracked him for a few years now. We liked him in the draft… I would say the preseason game here had more of an impact.”

I’m actually legitimately excited for springer, I see so much potential there

To me his ceiling is a bigger Avery Bradley, his shot even looks like AB’s used to

I thought after that Philly game that he and jalen Johnson were going to be the two breakout guys in the East this year. I even remember the exact moment I thought it— he took Derrick white to the basket on the left baseline and cleared him out beautifully with his body to make space for the layup

Before fans get excited calling him the next AB or the next Smart, you should keep in mind that his salary is the main reason we traded for him

More minutes rest of season … Springer or Walsh?

My sixers fan friend was pissed he got traded

He’s a flier at the end of the day. Defensive upside is there. Gotta hope the offense becomes decent so he can carve a real role

Ha! I literally commented yesterday about how he impressed me in pre-season but disappointed me in the rest of the Sixers games I saw him play. Funny that Brad enjoyed that Springer pre-season game too haha
