Kobe Bryant 81 Tribute (Narrated by Denzel Washington)

In the Quest for basketball immortality pivotal moments sculpt men into icons in The Whispers of Eternity these instance of Excellence Echo transforming Mere Men into Legends for KOB Bryant a Los Angeles KN in 2006 was one of those moments reverse lay up the score Kobe’s last is

Very very easy I mean just go right around Peterson you know when he gets around the basket he’s so creative that’s just nothing for him layup along another tough shot and he’s got four K kns it down unguarded from the outside Kobe Bryan has got six here’s Kobe sweet move uses class

And scores see how easily Kobe did what he wanted to do there Kobe’s got 10 already is back in and not a moment too soon and he immediately hits a three Kobe Bryant 17 and he’s only played 13 minutes so he’s going to be able to get any shot he

Wants Kobe SC on the slam Kobe tried to back from two Kobe with 21 obviously Kobe has been the brunt of the offense most of the season for Phil Jackson and you see tonight no exception Kobe 26 the rest of the team 23 but he’s going to have to have more second half

Heroics here tonight Kobe keeps it going with the backhand layup Kobe’s got 28 Kobe’s always in attack mode Kobe 30 points stops at the top of the py they giving him the ball to see if he can add to it yes he does 35 for Kobe Kobe again three-pointers got 38 points

He pulls up to a three yes Kobe again he’s got 41 points when he gets into this type of a Zone there’s really nothing you can do here’s Kobe trying to move around [Applause] mop Kobe’s got 44 here’s Kobe again yes sir and the crowds starting to sense it

Too as he builds up to 47 now Kobe all the way reverse slam is good 49 for Kobe knocked Away by Kobe great Hustle by Kobe he’s going to score D blakers lead well that’s 51 for number eight oh great pass KOB L slam done 53 at the end of three

There’s very very little that you can do to really keep him down for the course of a game K nobody helping right now defensively so he’ll take the 1500 Kobe’s got 57 five away from his Laker [Applause] High Kobe goes straight to the dribble

In the lane Lay It Up and a Kobe Bryant he’s got 61 points K be with the count Lakers de 10596 another three remarkable stuff ladies and gentlemen 67 points Kobe Bryant for three and again yes well there’s 70 Kobe guarded by Mo Peterson Kobe pump fake for K Kobe sto the Laker

Record oh my goodness yeah you think [Applause] MVP Kobe down the middle up but in ladies and gentlemen you have witnessed the second greatest stor performance in NBA history Kobe wants the ball Kobe calling for the ball under a minute the crowd is under feet Crow is

Going nut kobby all the way Kobe put it up not count foul two coming to get to 80 and 81 Kobe Bryan arrived in Los Angeles at 17 on a mission over the next 20 years he became the galvanizing flame at the city’s heart for 80 his legacy was built on nights like

This when he connected with his people on a higher level these moments contributed to the enduring Legend of Kobe Bryant the Black Mamba whose memory will live on forever and an 81o game 55 in the second half here we go Kobe will be replaced and listen to this crowd for number eight K

[Applause] Bur you know what I I I couldn’t even dreamed of this when I was a kid you know it’s just no way possible just a blessing from above to be able to play this game and more importantly get out of here with this W you know that’s what

Really matters it know it’s fun to play here you know these are our people these are our fans it feels great to put on a great show here at stap Center and uh see if we can’t get some more W in the process we’re certainly happy that

Everyone was here in person to see it and we certainly hope you enjoyed it wherever you were tonight as Kobe Bryant 81 Points [Applause] h

  2. Dallas should have been the team he dropped 100 but he sat out because he didn’t care about the stats but winning. RIP legend

  3. The Lakers didn't win for Kobe what a shame they have lebron and ad why is it they lose they don't even have mamba mentality they shouldnt wear mamba jersey they don't deserve mamba mentality..

  4. Kobe Bryant was and will forever be a force to be reckoned with! That force was passed to his talented athlete daughter/ REST IN POWER TO HER AS WELL. I fought tears this entire video. But the both of you are in a better place now.

  5. People can say what ever they want, but when I was a kid, EVERY kid in my school shouted KOBE! when throwing paper into the bin…and I grew up in Bosnia. Mamba is immortal.

  6. I'll never forget that Sunday in '06… watching the game live on TV as history was taking place….

Kobe = The GLOAT (Greatest Laker Of All-Time)

  7. I’m not just saying this because he passed away but Kobe was literally the most famous the most known and the biggest star in Los Angeles at any given point in his life! He was Los Angeles!

  8. its crazy how, weve had his passing, memorial, HOF speech without him, but for whatever reason this statue of him really has the feeling of finally seeing the last of Kobe immortilazation for one last time..theres no bigger or better honor for him as a player that is left, the last minute of this video with the music had me crying, not teary eyed, but crying. im 34 years old and have basically been a vivid Kobe fan all my life. Thank you Kobe for brinign so much joy in my life especially in my childhood when i needed it the most ❤️ 🙌

  9. “Repeat the list, man. Repeat the list. Wilt. Me. Mike. Say it with me. … Don't forget the list, man. It's a short list.”

    – Kobe Bryant, 2011

  10. This is why I dislike LeBum so much. Did you hear Kobe? " Most importantly is the W" team first. Unlike LeBum who drops L everytime it's important

  11. Love Denzel and I know he’s a real Laker fan, but I wish Morgen Freeman woulda been behind this narration 😂

  12. Rest in Power Bean and Gigi. laker fans everywhere will forever mourn your loss and forever celebrate your presence. we miss you. GO LAKERS!

  13. Kobe’s best game and greatest nba game I’ve ever saw was the day he outscored the mavs in 3 quarters… most underrated moment in sports history

  14. For those who witnessed this. This is the stuff that legends are made of. Kobe definitely left his mark and some shoes that can't be filled.🔥🔥🔥
