MEAN WHAT 60 MILLION CAP SPACE MEANS NECESSARILY. >> Will: LET’S BRING IN SOMEBODY WHO MIGHT TALK ABOUT MORE OF THIS CAP MINUTIAE WITH YOU. BOBBY WEBSTER, RAPTORS GENERAL MANAGER, JOINING US ON “THE RAPTORS SHOW” ONCE AGAIN. HOW ARE YOU DOING? >> WHAT’S UP, FELLAS? THANKS FOR HAVING ME.

>> Will: THANKS FOR COMING ON. WE HAVE A VERY VERTICALLY COMPRESSED VERSION OF YOU RIGHT NOW. SO — >> SORRY. >> Blake: IT’S NOT YOU. YOU DON’T NEED TO CHANGE YOUR POSTURE. >> Will: YOU’RE LUIGI. I’M MARIO, ESSENTIALLY, RIGHT NOW. PORTION WISE. >> Blake: DOES THAT MAKE ME

BOWSER? >> Will: YOU KNOW WHAT, WE ONLY HAVE FIFTEEN MINUTES WITH BOBBY. WE’LL USE THEM WISELY. I WANTED TO START BEFORE WE GET TO THE TRADE DEADLINE JUST THE PLAN COMING INTO THIS SEASON. I WAS LISTENING TO THE PRESS CONFERENCE YOU DID YESTERDAY,

AND YOU HAD MENTIONED THAT THE SEASON DIDN’T GET OFF TO QUITE THE START YOU GUYS EXPECTED. SO WHAT LEVEL DID THE TEAM NEED TO PLAY AT FOR YOU GUYS TO CHOOSE A DIFFERENT PATH THAN WHAT YOU GUYS CHOSE TO DO THIS YEAR AT THE DEADLINE?

>> IT ALWAYS COMES DOWN TO WINS AND LOSSES AND YOU YOU CAN ENVISION SOME HYPOTHETICAL RECORD OF WINS AND LOSS AND WE FELT LIKE KEEPING THE TEAM TOGETHER AND CONTINUING TO BUILD IT WOULD HAVE LED TO A DIFFERENT END RESULT. WE CAN REHASH THAT IF YOU WANT

BUT ULTIMATELY WE SAW IT JUST WASN’T QUITE WORKING SO WE DECIDED TO GO IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION. >> Will: I DON’T WANT TO REHASH TOO MUCH. I WENTED TO ASK FOR CLARITY: WAS THERE AN APPROACH IN TERMS OF A CONTRACT EXTENSION THIS SEASON

FOR EITHER O.G. OR PASCAL SIAKAM BEFORE YOU GUYS ULTIMATELY CHOSE TO MOVE ON? >> YEAH. I THINK WE TALKED ABOUT BOTH OF THEM PRIOR TO THE SEASON. O.G. WAS LIMITED BASED ON THE RULES OF THE CBA. HE RESPECTFULLY DECLINED AND THEN WITH PASCAL, WE DID HAVE

CONVERSATIONS ABOUT ULTIMATELY COULD COME TO ANY AGREEMENT ON A TEAL BEFORE THE SEASON. >> Blake: YESTERDAY, OBVIOUSLY, YOU MAKE THOSE DEALS ANDND YOU SPOKE YESTERDAY THAT THE HEAVY LIFTING WAS DONE EARLIER THAN THE TRADE DEADLINE, AND THE HEADLINE ITEM FOR YOUR TRADE

DEADLINE AND AROUND THE LEAGUE, KIND OF, WAS THE DEALS THAT DIDN’T GET DONE. IT WASN’T A PARTICULARLY — A LOT OF TRADES BUT NOT BIG NAMES BEING MOVED. BRUCE BROWN IS SOMEONE THAT YOU GUYS ACQUIRED IN THE PASCAL TRADE THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE

SEEMED TO THINK WOULD BE EVENTUALLY REROUTED SOMEWHERE ELSE AT THE DEADLINE AND YOU SAID YESTERDAY THAT, YOU KNOW, THE THRESHOLD WASN’T MET FOR BRUCE BROWN TRADE. I KNOW YOU’RE NOT GOING TO TELL ME, HEY, WE WANTED THIS EXACTLY THIS, BUT HOW CLOSE WAS THAT

THRESHOLD AND HOW MUCH DID IT SEEM LIKE, YOU KNOW, THAT WAS A MARKET-WIDE REALITY RATHER THAN JUST A BRUCE BROWN REALITY? >> A COUPLE OF THINGS THERE. I THINK WE SAW THERE WEREN’T A TON OF BIG NAMES. I THINK THERE’S A LOT OF MACRO

KIND OF PRO SPORT FACTORS IN PLAY. I THINK JUST BACK TO BRUCE, YOU KNOW, WE MET WITH HIM HERE IN THE RAPTORS SHOOTAROUND, HE’S 27. HE HAS INCREDIBLE CHAMPIONSHIP PEDIGREE. THERE’S A COMPETITIVENESS. THERE’S A TWO-WAY ABILITY THAT WE LIKE WITH HIM.

SO EVEN WHEN WE DID THE TRADE AND GOT BRUCE BACK, THERE’S ALWAYS THIS SCENARIO, SO I THINK ULTIMATELY, YOU KNOW, ANOTHER TEAM OR A CONTENDER WAS IN ESSENCE GOING TO HAVE TO BLOW US AWAY WITH AN OFFER TO GET BRUCE, OTHERWISE I’M SURE WE’LL GET

INTO IT, HE HAS AN INTERESTING CONTRACT HERE. THERE’S A LOT OF OPTIONS TO KEEP HIM, OPTIONS TO HOLD ON DRAFT NIGHT WHILE WE CONSIDER OTHER MOVES BUT I THINK FIRST AND FOREMOST, WE’VE ALWAYS LIKED BRUCE AS A PLAYER SO WE’RE EXCITED TO KEEP HIM FOR THE REST

OF THE SEASON. >> Blake: THOSE OPTIONS, YOU COULD PICK UP HIS TEAM OPTION AND HAVE HIM AS A PLAYER AND PICK UP HIS TEAM OPTION WITH THE INTENT OF TRADING HIM OR YOU COULD WALK AWAY FROM IT AND HAVE THE CAP SPACE THERE.

ON THE TRADE VALUE FRONT, WOULD YOU ANTICIPATE HE WOULD HAVE SIMILAR VALUE AROUND THE LEAGUE ON DRAFT NIGHT OR ON JULY 1st AS HE DID, YOU KNOW, AS YOU GUYS KIND OF CANVASSED THE LEAGUE AT THE DEADLINE HERE? >> YEAH. I THINK BASED ON THE OFFERS WE

HAD, YOU KNOW, YESTERDAY OR JUST THE DISCUSSIONS, WE HOPED THAT HE HAD MAINTAIN THE SOME OF THAT VALUE AND ALSO MAYBE HE PLAYS THIS WAY INTO THIS CORE AND, YOU KNOW, AS PART OF OUR FUTURE AND MAYBE THE ONE SCENARIO YOU DIDN’T GO THROUGH WAS DECLINING

THE OPTION TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO RE-SIGN AS WELL. >> Will: OKAY. INTERESTING. LOTS OF OPTIONALITY. THAT WAS THE KEY WORLD. THAT WAS THE TOPIC THAT CAME OUT OF THE CONFERENCE A LOT. I WANTED TO ASK ABOUT ONE OF THE MOVES THAT WAS MADE SO YOU GUYS

BROUGHT IN DENNIS SCHRODER LAST YEAR AT SUMMER LEAGUE, I REMEMBER HIM GETTING INTRODUCED AND DENNIS, I THINK HE SPOKE THEN ABOUT COMING IN AND WANTING TO START AND OBVIOUSLY HE WAS THE STARTING FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE SEASON BEFORE THAT CHANGE WAS MADE.

AND WE’VE SEEN DARKO SPEAK ABOUT DENNIS AND ALSO USE HIM IN A LOT OF HIGH LEVERAGE SITUATIONS AND I KNOW YOU MENTIONED FINANCIAL FLEXIBILITY, WAS THERE ANY OTHER REASONS WHY YOU GUYS CHOSE TO PART WAYS WITH DENNIS SCHRÖDER IN THIS DEAL? >> I THINK GOING BACK TO WHAT

YOU SAID, DENNIS CAME OFF AN INCREDIBLE SUMMER. WE HAD REALLY HIGH HOPES AND EXPECTATIONS. I KNOW DENNIS HAD IT HIMSELF AS WELL. HE’S THE ULTIMATE COMPETITOR. WE’VE ALL SEEN HIM RAISE THE LEVEL OF OUR PLAY. EVEN IN THE LAST CHARLOTTE GAME. I THINK ULTIMATELY HE WAS

BROUGHT IN WITH THE PASCAL, O.G., TEAM TO COMPETE SO PROBABLY JUST AS OUR TIMELINE SHIFTED, THE TIMELINE WITH DENNIS SHIFT AND HAD MOVE HIM ON, WISH HIM THE BEST AND HAVE A LOT OF LOVE AND SUPPORT FOR DENNIS. >> Blake: IN TERMS OF WHAT DID

COME IN — I’LL GIVE YOU ONE MORE ON FLEXIBILITY. DENNIS GOING OUT CLEARS A LITTLE BIT OF SALARY FOR NEXT YEAR’S BOOKS. WE TALKED ABOUT THE BRUCE BROWN OPTIONS THERE. YOU HAVE KELLY OLYNYK WHO YOU WORK WITH TO HIGHLIGHT YESTERDAY’S EXTENSION ELIGIBLE

AND YOU COULD LOWER THAT CAP HIT BY SIGNING HIM TO A NEW DEAL POTENTIALLY. IMMANUEL QUICKLEY COMES WITH A VERY SMALL CAP HIT WHICH GIVES YOU GUYS SOME FLEXIBILITY IN THE SUMMER. AS WELL, I MEAN, GOING THROUGH THIS AND GOING THROUGH MY CAP

EXERCISE, IT DOES SEEM LIKE YOU GUYS HAVE PLACED A PREMIUM ON THAT FLEXIBILITY AND THE ABILITY TO TAKE A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT PATHS IN JULY. IS THAT A FAIR READ ON KIND OF THE SPIRIT BEHIND THESE MOVES AS A COLLECTIVE? >> A HUNDRED PERCENT.

>> I THINK IT’S SOMETHING WE ALWAYS VALUED AS A FRANCHISE, UNTIL YOU’RE READY TO LOCK INTO A TEAM. THIS IS THE BEST APPROACH. ESPECIALLY WITH THE NEW CBA THERE’S A TON OF RESTRICTIONS IN NOT SPENDING A LOT OF MONEY AND HAVING FLEXIBILITY IF YOU CAN

TATAKE ADVANTAGE OF OTHER TEAMS AND MAYBE NEED TO GET SALARIES AND ATTACH PLAYERS OR ATTACH ASSETS TO IT, SO, YOU KNOW, THE SECOND TRADE DEADLINE IS ALWAYS DRAFT NIGHT AND SO WE’LL BE WELL POSITIONED ON DRAFT NIGHT TO HOPEFULLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS.

THERE’S NO QUA GUARANTEE WE DO HAD SOME DEALS TURNED DOWN AND WE COULD USE SOME THEORETICAL CAP SPACE BUT ULTIMATELY, YOU KNOW, WE HOPE THOSE DEALS WILL STILL BE THERE IN JUNE AND WE’LL HAVE ANOTHER SHOT AT IT. >> Will: I WANTED TO ASK ABOUT

ONE OF THE TWO PIECES YOU GUYS BROUGHT IN. HOW LONG HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN TRACKING HIS PROGRESS? >> I KNOW FOR ME, HIS FRESHMAN SEASON AT KANSAS, HE STARTED TO GET SOME OPPORTUNITIES OFF THE BENCH. HE ENDS UP WITH A REALLY ILLUSTRIOUS CAREER IN KANSAS

CULL MIP AGENT AT MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER IN THE TOURNAMENT AND HE GETS DRAFTED AND PUT IN THE DONOVAN MITCHELL TRADE. WE’RE WATCHING T THE WHOLE TIME. I THINK WE FEEL LIKE HE FITS THE TWO-WAY RAPTORS MOLD, YOU KNOW. MAKE A THREE-POINT SHOT. WITH DARKO WE’RE GOING, ENERGY,

EXCITEMENT, HE’LL FIT RIGHT IN WITH THIS CORPS. >> Blake: IS THE CHALLENGE GOING TO BE — YOU MENTIONED THE DEFENCE TRANSITION WISE. HE’S INCREDIBLE FROM THE TAPE. LOOKS LIKE A PRETTY GOOD TEAM LEVEL DEFENDER. ARE YOU GUYS HOPING HE CAN TURN INTO ONE OF YOUR PRIMARY POINT

OF EH G GUYS ON DEFENCE AS WELL? >> I THINK THAT HE’S — WHEN YOU SEE HIM HE’S BLESSED WITH A LOT OF PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES. HE’S A GREAT ATHLETE. HE’S BIG. HE’S STRONG. I THINK THAT’S KIND OF, AS WE ALL KNOW, THE EFFORT ON THE

DEFENSIVE END AND THE ABILITY TO LOCK IN. THE OFFENSIVE END, FITTING IN AROUND SOMEONE LIKE SCOTTIE BARNES AND QUICKLEY WHERE HE CAN MAKE A SHOT AND AS HE DEVELOPS MORE OFFENSIVELY, YOU KNOW, HE’LL PROVIDE SOME ADDITIONAL SHOT CREATION. >> Will: I DON’T WANT TO ASK

ABOUT KE KELLY OLYNYK. DO YOU SEE KELLY AS A PIECE OF THE TEAM NEXT YEAR AND BEYOND? >> WE WOULDN’T DO THE DEAL IF WE DIDN’T SEE THAT. ON THE SKILL SET, TALKING TO SCOTTIE TODAY, WE HAVAVEN’T HAD SKILL STRETCH AROUND HIM. I THINK THERE’S A BIT OF VETERAN

PRESENCE ALSO YOU LOSE WHEN YOU DO DID YOU LOSE DENNIS AND THAT DID. SO WE WANT TO MAINTAIN SOME STRUCTURE AROUND THE RELATIVELY — IT’S NOT A BUNCH OF ROOKIES IN THE SECOND YEAR GUYS BUT THEY’RE BETWEEN 22, 27, 28, SO

IT’S KIND OF TWO-FOLD, WHICH IS SKILL SET AND THEN KIND OF A STEADYING HAND FOR US. >> Will: ON THE SUBJECT OF SCOTTIE, SO MUCH DISCUSSION AROUND BUILDING AROUND SCOTTIE. YOU GUYS ARE CLEARLY MAKING A VERY INTENTIONAL RUN ON THAT FRONT.

I WANTED TO ASK YOU GUYS, WHAT ROLE DO YOU SEE HIM PLAYING LONG TERM? FOR EXAMPLE, YOU MENTIONED YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE POTENTIALLY SOME MORE REPS OF HIM RUNNING POINT AGAIN, WHICH MAY OPEN UP THE TRADE DEADLINE. WHAT LONG-TERM ROLE DO YOU SEE FOR SCOTTIE BARNES?

>> I THINK WE’RE SEEING IT NOW. I THINK SCOTTIE PROJECTS AS A REALLY UNSELFISH HUB. YOU CAN GROW AROUND HIM. WHETHER IT’S THE PRIMARY BALL HANDLER, SECONDARY BALL HANDLER IN THE HALF COURT, OUR JOB NOW IS TO SURROUND HIM WITH THE RIGHT SKILL SET AND PERSONNEL

THAT FIT HIS STRENGTHS. AND I THINK, YOU KNOW, HIS BIG MOMENT THIS WEEK WAS SCOTTIE BEING NAMED AS AN ALL-STAR, I THINK IT’S PROBABLY A PRETTY ESTEEMED GROUP HE JOINS. HOW DO WE RAISE HIM IN AN ENVIRONMENT HERE? WHERE WE’RE GETTING THE BEST ON

THE COURT AND TEACHING LEADERSHIP SKILLS, BEING A GREAT TEAM MATED. THOSE ARE ALL THE CHALLENGES YOU HAVE WITH SCOTTIE BUT WE FEEL REALLY STRONGLY THAT THE BASE WITH SCOTTIE IS A REALLY HIGH FLOOR. >> WHEN IT COMES TO HIS KIND OF FIT WITH THESE NEW PIECES, YOU

KNOW, WE CAN SEE THE CENTRE POSITION NOW, RIGHT. JAKOB POELTL’S HEALTHY AND KELLY’S IN THERE. WE ALL KNOW KELLY’S GAME REALLY WELL. THE WAY THE DEPTH CHART LOOKS NOW MAY BE MORE ROOM FOR SCOTTIE AS POINT GUARD OR DE FACTO POINT GUARD, HOWEVER YOU WANT TO FRAME THAT.

AS YOUOU LOOK LONGER TERM, DOES THE FOCUS BECOME ON FINDING MORE SHOOTING AROUND THAT, MORE DEFENDING AROUND THAT OR ARE YOU GUYS STILL FIGURING THAT OUT AS YOU SEE WHAT SCOTTIE LOOKS LIKE WITH IQ, WITH KELLY, WITH R.J. HERE? >> YOU NEED TWO-WAY GUYS AND BE

ABLE TO DEFEND DAY HIGH LEVEL. I THINK YOU’RE ALWAYS GOING TO SEE US PUT UP SHOOTING AROUND SCOTTIE GOING FORWARD. I DON’T THINK IT’S JUST AS SIMPLE AS JUST CATCH AND SHOOT. YOU NEED DYNAMIC PLAYERS YOU CAN CUT OFF THE BALL WHO CAN CREATE AS WELL.

I THINK YOU SEE DIFFERENTED DIFFERENT SCENARIOS SIMILAR TO SCOTTIE, YOU DO NEED A MIX OF SHOOTING BUT SOME OTHER CREATION AROUND HIM. >> Will: TO THAT POINT, YOU MIGHT HAVE ALREADY ANSWERED IT, BUT WHY DID YOU TARGET IMMANUEL QUICKLEY AND R.J. BARRETT AS THE

SPECIFIC PIECES AROUND SCOTTIE? WHAT FITS WITH HIS PROTECTED SKILL SET AND HIS CURRENT SKILL — PROJECTED SKILL SET. >> WE SAW TWO PLAYERS, 23, 24 YEARS OLD, WHO HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO GROW AND, YOU KNOW, IN NEW YORK, I THINK IT’S VERY CLEAR WHAT THEIR PECKING

ORDER IS. WE’RE LOOKING FOR PLAYERS AROUND THE LEAGUE NOT NECESSARILY SPECIFICALLY BUT PLAYERS GIVEN MORE OPPORTUNITY COULD REALLY BLOSSOM. I THINK WITH, YOU KNOW, EMANUEL AND R.J., HOPEFULLY THE PAST FEW WEEKS HERE, AND WE HAVEN’T HAD A WHOLE TEAM TOGETHER JUST YET,

BUT THERE IS MORE SCORING — THERE’S MORE SHOT CREATION, THERE’S AN ABILITY TO PLAY AS STARTERS AS OPPOSED TO COMING OFF THE BENCH. A NUMBER OF REASONS BUT I WOULD SAY PRIMARILY AGE AND JUST PUTTING THEM, YOU KNOW, ON THE SLOT IN ORDER ON THE TEAM.

>> Will: THIS IS JUMPING AROUND. CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE, YOU KNOW, KELLY AND OCHAI AVAILABLE FOR TONIGHT’S GAME? ARE WE A LITTLE TOO EAGER? WHAT’S GOING ON? >> FINGERS CROSSED. IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO. THEY’RE IN TORONTO. THERE’S A BUNCH OF NBA RULES AROUND TRADES.

THEY’VE GOT TO PASS THE PHYSICAL BUT WE’RE HOPEFUL THAT THEY’LL BE AVAILABLE. MASAI, BE HE TALKED IN HIS PRESS CONFERENCE, HE MENTIONED THAT HE KIND OF WISHED THAT HE HAD FORESAW THIS JUMP FROM SCOTTIE TO ALL-STAR LEVEL WHICH WE’RE SEEING RIGHT NOW. A LITTLE BITTED EARLIER.

AND I GUESS MY QUESTION TO THAT IS: DO YOU THINK THAT WOULD HAVE CHANGED ANYTHING IN TERMS OF THE TEAM BUILDING STRATEGY? FOR EXAMPLE, IF SCOTTIE HAD MADE THIS JUMP THE LAST YEAR INSTEAD OF THIS YEAR? >> IT’S AN INTERESTING WHAT IF. WHERE I STARTED THIS

CONVERSATION WITH SCOTTIE, HE’S AN ALL-STAR IN HIS THIRD NBA SEASON A AND YOU LOOK AT THE PLAYERS WHO ARE ALL-STAR IN THE SECOND NBA SEASON, YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT, YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW, TOP FIVE PLAYERS IN THE LEAGUE NOW. I THINK IT WOULD BE UNFAIR TO

SAY THIS WAS EXPECTED OF SCOTTIE OR, YOU KNOW, WE WISH HE WOULD HAVE DONE THIS. NOW I THINK LIKE, YOU KNOW, BE DEVELOPMENT IS NOT LINEAR AND I THINK WE’RE HAPPY WITH WHATEVER ROAD GOT HIM TO BE AN ALL-STAR IS. >> Will: DID SCOTTIE ALSO SAY

THAT YOU’RE THE ONE WHO BROKE THE NEWS, THAT HE WAS THE ALL-STAR? >>. >> YEAH. >> Will: HOW DID THAT GO? >> THE NBA CALLS YOU AND THEY SAY CONGRATULATIONS AND THEY SAY, CAN WE GET SCOTTIE ON THE PHONE.

AND THEN THEY SAY, TO SEE IF HE ACCEPTS. AS IF SOMEONE WOULDN’T ACCEPT. SO I HAD BEEN TEXTING WITH SCOTTIE E EARLIER THAT DAY. YOU CAN PROBABLY IMAGINE THIS GENERATION OF KDOESN’T PICK UP THE PHONE. I SAID, PICK UP. I’M CALLING. I HAD THE NBA ON.

SCOTTIE, I HAVE THE PRESIDENT OF BASKETBALL O.P.S. FOR THE NBA ON. I DON’T KNOW IF HE THOUGHT HE WAS GETTING IN TROUBLE OR WHATNOT. I CLICK OVER AND HE THEY SAY, WE WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO INDIANAPOLIS FOR THE ALL-STAR GAME. DO YOU ACCEPT?

HE WAS ON THE TEAM BUS, I THINK, IN CHARLOTTE. IT WAS ONE OF THOSE COOL MOMENTS WHWHERE YOU’RE IN SORT OF A PRIVATE SETTING AND YOU CAN’T NECESSARILY SHARE WITH EVERYBODY. IT’S NOT THE MOST HUMBLE THING TO YELL OUT ON THE BUS. I JUST WAS ANNOUNCED AS ALL-STAR.

I COULD TELL THROUGH THE PHONE THE EXCITEMENT HE HAD AND, YOU KNOW, HE WAS REALLY ENERGETIC AND, YOU KNOW, TOLD ME HE COULDN’T WAIT TO BE THERE AND LET’S GO AND ALL THIS STUFF YOU CAN IMAGINE SCOTTIE WOULD SAY. >> Will: GOT YOU. GOT YOU.

WELL, WE HAVE ONE LAST QUESTION FOR YOU, NOT ON SCOTTIE BUT JUST ONE LAST ONE ABOUT THE PAST. OBVIOUSLY FRED VanVLEET RETURNS TO TORONTO FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE LEAVING THIS PAST SUMMER. I WANT TO GET IT ON THE RECOCOR WHO IN THE FRONT OFFICE SHOULD

GET THE MOST CREDIT FOR DISCOVERING THE NOW HIGHEST PAID UNDRAFT THE PLAYER OF ALL TIME? >> WE DON’T DO THAT. WE ALL TAKE CREDIT. >> Will: OOH. >> Blake: I GOT A QUESTION MAYBE YOU WILL ANSWER. THIS IS ALSO A NONTRADE DEADLINE QUESTION BEFORE WE LET YOU GO HERE.

MAN, I KNOW YOU GUYS HAVE A GAME THE FRIDAY IN MIAMI AND THIS SUNDAY IN MIAMI BUT APRIL 13th, YOU HAVE OUR GUY, MAX HOLLOWAY, RAPTORS SUPER FAN FOR THE BMF BELT AND YOU CAN WATCH IT ON SPORTSNET. SEE YOU IN VEGAS OR WHAT?

>> THAT WOULD BE QUITE THE WEEKEND. FRIDAY NIGHT MIAMI, SATURDAY IN VEGAS. I DON’T KNOW IF WE’RE MAKING IT BACK FOR THE GAME SUNDAY. >> Blake: WE GOT A WHOLE OFFSEASON AFTER THAT TO — OR PLAY IN MAYBE. >> Will: MAYBE. >> Blake: TO RECOVER. >> GO MAX.

WE’RE ALWAYS THERE SUPPORTING HIM. I WOULD LOVE TO GO TO THAT IF I CAN, BUT, YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES DUTY CALLS. >> Will: OKAY. >> Blake: WE’LL BE ROOTING FOR HIM. >> Will: WE APPRECIATE YOU AND WE’LL SEE YOU DOWN AT

Toronto Raptors GM Bobby Webster discusses the acquisitions of Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji, the franchise prioritizing flexibility at the trade deadline and the future of Scottie Barnes.

  1. Easy questions. The host was not challenging Webster: my question would have been:

    1. Some would say that you hang on to players for too long, and then lose them for much less than you could have gotten (I.e Lowry, Fred van vleet, Siakam).. why the hell (Stephen a smith voice ) did you guys turn down one or more picks for brown, a player who has no future with your team.
