Ime Udoka: “It’s Game 51. We have to see some growth.”

What did you see from the bench tonight as far as their effort and ability to energize the game I saw everything from them from all those standpoints I mean um you know starters I think we were down 14 early and they got us the three-point lead brought the starters back in 11o deficit

18 after the half and those guys fought their way back in so um love what they did um need to have that um urgency from everybody from the start and um you know we just played this team a week ago and didn’t have a whole lot of carryover um

And we know what they do and know it worked well last game so it’s game 51 we have to see some growth and things start to translate what was lacking from the start you mentioned urgency but was been more than that that was lacking from this yeah I mean eight turnovers in the

First quarter for you know 13 and a half the starters had 10 of those 13 um nine steals of those 10 turnovers so you’re driving into a crowd that you know is going to be there it’s what they did last week it’s what they always do and

They wanted to force you to to shoot threes and you continue to drive into that crowd and not play with your teammates and then you see the second unit come in and do the opposite get you back in the game and then go back in and

Do the exact same thing so that was what it was from the start and our recognition of who they are as a defense and what they try to take away and so um that part’s disappointing especially based on we just played him a week ago

And saw what was wor worked for us what was successful obviously the group that was in had the comeback so you going to stick with them was it in your mind at the time that you took out alurn and Jaylen that you would eventually go back

With him possibly but not based on what I saw during the game and um that group played well very well obviously to get back in the game I had some timeouts to use to try to get them some extended rest and so uh yeah they deserve to be how serious or not was

Cans how serious not sure he’s icing it right now um did it the on the last play of the first half and tried to give it a go in the third quarter so um yeah he couldn’t go but I’m not sure the severity of it on the last play of the

First half so that would be the play it look like sple kind of ran into J that how it happened I’m not sure if that was part of it I know um they tried to block quickly on the shot initially and so they all got caught up and there was a

Few bodies on the floor and so that’s what happened Courtney was obviously ill was that what happened on that last play was he just not able to make CS I don’t know it wasn’t his call honestly the push in the back wasn’t he was looking

At the Block and that’s what he told me me um and I watched the replay at halftime and he was looking down to quickly and it was Justin from the weak side that had that call and he was the guy that missed it and said he saw it at

Halftime and missed it it wasn’t Courtney’s call thank you thank you thank you

  1. Jalen and Alpi don’t work, we increase the pace and Sengun offense and defense dropped considerably. Jalen is not good enough to cater to his playing style so let’s put him on a bench and don’t stagger their mins.

  2. Relax, they're young. Moves will be made this summer. If they suck next year, then you can worry.

  3. You are a big failure man! You cannot win games by destroying Alperen. I think you have turned into Silas. You have crippled the hands and the feet of Alpi.

  4. Alpi is not aggressive enough always looking for Jalen to get his rhythm. He is not an aggressor. Also when he is not scoring, he gets torched defensively. So I want him to be the offense. Where the fuck his first 15 games mentality has gone. He needs a better mindset after all star break

  5. How many more weak teams should destroy Houston to tell this overrated coach that if you dont use Alpy offensively in your game plans (if he has any.) you gonna keep losing. Play inn is a dream now. Keep playing with Holiday- Tate bench Alpy , genius idea. Silas 2.0

  6. It will be 10 years later and these clowns in the comments ah still be saying “their still young” smh as coach suggests, it’s time to see some progression… YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!!!!
