Daryl Morey spoke his truth about Jaden Springer: How should Boston Celtics take it?

What you guys think of the Daryl mury quote saying that um Springer is like a much more of a longterm and didn’t match with the kind of the current timeline of the 76ers if that’s the case how does he match with the timeline of this version of the Boston Celtics well to Brad

Wasn’t asked about that quote because it hadn’t come out yet at the time that we spoke to Brad Stevens this morning but he said part of the reason that trade happened with a rival is because teams do evaluate players differently and so I I do think they think he’s more of a

Long-term play though that that that was not they did not go out and get Jaden Springer because they expect him to make a playoff impact this year they went out and got him because he’s 21 he’s a first round Talent he’s super athletic he’s already shown the defensive

Capabilities that could turn him into an awesome awesome stopper on that end but there are some warts there’s some offensive stuff for him to to work through and they’re going to have him in their their system to evaluate him this year and next year and then see what

Happens from there yeah I mean the Celtics they they’re not going to have access to be able to get guys like Springer with their cap situation for the next couple years going for at a second year team so that’s the that’s the type of bet that’s easier for the

Celtics to make right now the Sixers are potentially trying to clear cap room like for next season on top of trying to win now so Springer at this point he doesn’t want to do both I’m kind of shocked that Mor said it so publicly I mean it’s obvious like you say that

Behind the scenes it will we’ll give Springer maybe a little bit of fuel to see that quote be like hey man I was playing for you guys right now and you say this about me going out the door that that surprised me a little bit but

I think he understood the reaction to it and especially the reaction after Springer had shown some real defensive capabilities the last couple weeks when when playing a lot of minutes and so myy probably felt the need to just explain himself right know I understand why he

And so I think that’s why he was as honest there as he was but it it was interesting

  1. The sixers are known to not have patience on developing young players. They've traded most of their young guys who turned out to be a very good players i.e bridges, holiday.
