Utah Jazz Waive Kevin Knox Two Days After Trade With Detroit Pistons
Of professional sports is an interesting business could you imagine whatever company you work for sending you away to a rival company to a different city to work and then before you even start that new job they just release you well that’s what happens in the NBA sometimes
Including this week with the Utah Jazz just two days after the Jazz acquired acquired forward Kevin Knox from the Pistons in a trade they have now released him why well it’s likely to free up a roster spot where the Jazz would be able to promote possibly a guy
Like Johnny Jang melter or Jason Preston who have two-way contracts with the team if they choose or they could use that uh spot on a free agent or just leave it empty for now one thing is pretty clear though all of these moves the Jazz have made have cleared a path for ninth
Overall pick Taylor Hendrick to pick up more minutes yeah obviously I mean uh we traded a few guys like around my position so uh my role is going to probably increase but you know just whatever they ask me to do I’m I’m willing to do it regardless I’m still
Going to try to do whatever I need to do to make the team work um whether you know that space is cleared or not so you know either way it’s a blessing
The Utah Jazz announced that they’ve waived Kevin Knox II only two days after acquiring the forward in a trade with the Detroit Pistons.
The Jazz waived Knox on Friday, February 9.
The Kentucky product joined the Jazz as part of a deal that sent Simone Fontecchio from Utah to Detroit on February 7.
