Uh Taylor uh Lamar Stevens and Udo both hit season highs and V it’s play tonight sort of a commentary on the kind of roster juggling you’ve had to do this season but obviously they earn they earned their way deeper into the game tonight right yeah I was really

Impressed with those guys um you know first half kind of figuring it out um you know obviously they they had some big buckets I thought you know Lamar had a little stretch there and then UDA had of flurry obviously you know Luda has some great l had some great shots that

Didn’t fall um but the defensive activity was great I mean UDA end up guarding McCullum for stretches Lamar was guarding Zion to trying to take charges stripping the ball from them playing really disciplined defense those guys gave us a huge spark I thought Trey gave us a big spark as well uh

Especially you know end of that third quarter I think Midway in that third quarter and then going into that fourth quarter overall second half was great you know obviously had a hold there you know at the start of uh you know the the the second half down 25 to get it down

To four really impressed but that group that came off the bench especially UD AR Trey obviously Luke you know big big time threes for us you know throughout the game uh that group really helped us a lot it two-part question for you one kind of what happened with Scotty Pippen

Jr and two we saw you know you had to go more Luke at the point guard some other guys in stretches uh what changes when you go from your if anything you know with your natural point guards like Scotty pipp and Jacob Gillard those guys

And then you go to Jacob I mean um you know uh Vince Williams and Luke Canard and those guys yeah Scotty uh felt some back tightness um you know so out of precaution uh he he was ruled out for the game and then you know it’s kind of

By committing we’ve had to obviously utilize that you know throughout the season um you know uh I don’t I don’t know the extent of where Scotty’s at he’s getting further evaluated but you know Miss a guy touching the paint um you know trying to use the screen and

Roll you know second side action against their aggressive shifts and you know weak side bottom rotations you know that’s why he just kind of lean in like simple pick and roll screen roll you know hit the roller a couple of times um but they a heavy shift and um getting

That ball to the week side we just I mean we shot 27% from three I mean we took exactly what the defense was going to give us had great looks uh there were some times where we got to the second side and we were able to go and catch

And finish at the rim and exploit some of their Closeouts but you know uh obviously Scot can get to the paint but we needed to use the screen and rolling in second side action uh to get to the paint so we definitely missed that but

Overall I was just proud of the guys how they responded you know different guys stepping up in different moments whether we had a point guard or not you know I thought we played a pretty good game together uh just couldn’t get the ball go in the net and obviously the

Turnovers hurt us you know for for the 48 minutes hey coach I know you went on the 299 run to cut it down to nine-point game what you do something different on offense or defensive to get it into that lead or what how would you to do that uh

Just a different level of urgency I mean um you know the offense really was uh hurting us I mean obviously they had a really good first half but I thought a lot of that was you know Miss shots and then just turnovers I mean they just I

Think they scored like 15 17 points off our turnovers in the first half and they was just clamping down the defensive side I mean we gave up 35 points in the second half and they scored 30 and 31 you know in the first and second quarter alone so overall that kind of sparked

Our offense we got in transition a little bit more you felt the ball hoop and just guys played just with a different level of you know confidence on the offensive side you know with our defensive activity um but you know it was a great battle um you know we just

Got to keep working getting better and I told the guys keep working on individual games you know the team game all that stuff we keep playing like that keep playing as hard as that no matter if we’re up or down um you know the shots will fall for us you know just keep

Working on how we can take care of the ball find those open looks you know set up your teammate uh the guys are fighting um Taylor a lot of Trey’s minutes in the third quarter came against yonis F Tunis obviously there’s a long history there a lot of data in

That Scouting Report just what’s your message to him on taking on that challenge of guarding yisan junis yeah I mean uh I I got to give Yono some credit I mean he had three assists I thought he did a good job um you know we tried to

Send some double teams to him and um you know to make him be more of a playmaker rather than you know getting some easy buckets on us but he did a great job we were probably a little early in our double teams he sprayed out to a couple

Of Shooters and then we kind of adjusted and said all right Trey if JJ ends up on him you two guys are just going to guard him one-on-one I thought it was more about just keeping a body between him because uh he does a good job finding

Angles after his first initial move um I thought Trey did a good job obviously this is probably you know first time he’s ever played against yonas and some of these other guys even you know Zion and coming over rotations I thought he was great at The Rim block shots uh just

Putting his body on the line but overall um he’s asking the right questions you know figuring out the Tendencies watching the film and I thought he displayed you know great discipline in that Arena tonight uh wa from the game a little bit with Vince Williams Jr being um named to

The um Rising Stars challenge just one what was your reaction to that and I mean we’ve talked about you know his journey up to this point but just anything you wanted to add in terms of him being named there yeah uh huge congrats to Vince uh what an

Unbelievable recognition um you know he he’s just got a workers’s hat you know even his reaction when we celebrated right before the game when the announcement was coming out um you know he’s super humble you know he’s just got that you know quiet smile on his face

And dapped up his teammates you know guys were giving him hugs and he was just ready to go out there and compete tonight you know I think he’s continually just shown just progress one day at a time um he does anything that it takes he loves to compete he wants to

Win so bad obviously an individual Accolade that hopefully it sinks in with him and he gets to enjoy Allstar Weekend and the great opportunity to be with the other Rising Stars uh cuz you know as you can see from his work a year to now how much he’s risen um just in his

Overall game defensively me nine assists tonight um you know it’s phenomenal to see the developmental opportunities and he’s a true example of a rising star and making the most of his opportunity right now early in his career great thanks everyone appreciate it
