POSTGAME PRESS CONFERENCE: Jaylen Brown addresses scuffle with Duncan Robinson late in 4th quarter

POSTGAME PRESS CONFERENCE: Jaylen Brown addresses scuffle with Duncan Robinson late in 4th quarter

Jaylen can you take us through the issue with Duncan Robinson it seemed like he was kind of holding on to your arm after he fouled you and you just kind of threw him off can you what happened and did you are you okay with with with what went down and the the

Flagrant yeah I’m okay with it I think uh it was no issue for me I think he knew exactly what he was trying to do trying to get tangled up um Etc because he didn’t want to play defense and you know they called the foul but he was

Still trying to hang on so I was trying to get my arm free is Joe said he liked the friction and is there a point where you’ve gotta when guys are being a little bit overly physical with you you got to say like I can’t I’m not taking this anymore like

I’m just I’m going have to enforce force it myself yeah especially you know Miami is known for you know being physical Miami’s known for getting away with a lot of that stuff kind of mucking up the game and you know at the end of the day

You got to protect and own your space feel like Duncan Robinson knew what he was doing there trying to get tangled up and trying to draw whatever what I don’t know what he was trying to do but I bet you he won’t do it again well in the fourth quarter you

Guys were really going after Robinson and he was like fighting to deny position all that kind of stuff uh usually against teams you can kind of find the Cross Match you want and just kind of go at it in crunch time but Miami made you guys work for it so how

Did you guys work through that and try to find the best outcome who who’s your for uh Virginia uh just think just playing the the right way just reading the game I think we’ve been playing a lot of intentional basketball which I think is

Going to pay off I think you know in a regular season is where you build habits and I think we’ve been trying to beat a smarter team night in and night out um tonight you know they have some players that defensively um we could take advantage of and I feel like we majority

Of the game we tried to get to those positions and those spots um KP got his position uh early and he was able to take advantage of those matchups and that stuff that we look to do Jo Joe said to us he he like particularly actually liked when you and

Duncan were having words with each other at the free throw line after you just like seeing that fire what was that interaction kind of about I don’t think it was anything special you know what I mean I I don’t really have a comment on it I

Think we just you know two teams playing hard trying to figure out how to win I think he was trying to get his team motivated right there and you know I was ready to move on to the next play Chris UPS what what happened with your with your back when you went out

And what was kind of the process of getting back in there and how are you feeling now I want to answer the last question a little bit to be honest like when they got into it again I kind of liked it like it got the whole crowd into it it

Was like it was a good atmosphere so I think um that was good and my back is fine I got a little bit bit like bumped from bam on a rebound just kind of like nothing serious yeah just went went to the back like made sure it was good

Warmed up again and and all good what did that altercation christops do for the group and all of you showing the the Poise but also a fire from that point on no I love it I love it I think we have to um take those like moments those

Emotional moments in a good way like make us like fired up but controlled you know we have to stay controlled and because that’s their game they need us to react to something or they need us so we we as JB said we own our space but we

Don’t have to react back they have to do that to mix up the game to make something happen and I think we just have to be smart in those situations but but show that we were right there you’re new to this rivalry what is it like to

Be a part of and how important is it for you guys to experience this now looking at the playoffs yeah I knew like we all knew going into this game um that’s you know we’re going up against coach spa and Miami Heat they’re going to remember the last game what happened and they’re

Going to come out you know with a game plan and and they want to beat us as much as we want to beat them and and it was going to be a it was going to be a fight especially a big game on national

TV all this and it was a it was a war and it was it was fun and uh most importantly that we came out with a win and prove who we are Kristoph how do you feel like you’ve been able to impact this match up the amount of Zone they

Throw at you just the pockets you’re able to find the openings you’re able to find against their defense to be honest I’m just playing my game I think uh the more time I’m spending with these guys on the court they we we all just getting real comfortable with each other and we

Knowing they’re knowing my Spots I’m I’m finding them whenever there is some extra help com in or or double teams or whatever and we try to make the game easy for each other we play selflessly and and and when we do that it’s it’s a headache for the other

Team Chris ABS you got hit in a tough spot uh late second quarter and then you got called for the foul like how did you bounce back what was that feel I mean did you think about leaving the game like what was what was going through

Your mind other than pain no to be honest I wanted to challenge it you know and see if we could get something but um I guess the thought was that you know I kind of did bump him first a little bit so the foul would have stayed maybe we

Could have gotten something you know on Sportsman like or something like this but to be honest you know this these kind of plays happen and they’re going to happen probably even much more in the playoffs you know all kinds of stuff is going to go down so um I don’t know if

It was on purpose but definitely got hit in in there and um uh but yeah it is what it is you know we we keep playing presented by your New England Ford dealers built for America built Ford proud

  1. Jaylen a little bitch, that wasn't even a foul. He hooked first then DR got tangled. Jaylen a big choker anyways, can't play the same in the postseason. Boston known for a reg season team.

  2. Miami so mad 😂😂😂. Good luck making the playoffs guys. Your boy Jimmy takes off games and y’all play better. Last game we played he was in and we 40 pieced y’all! 😂😂

  3. jb did the right thing freak accidents happen duncan could of pulled his arm out of socket maybe not intentionally but he would of been hurt just the same once the whistle was blown duncan should of let go.

  4. Dallas Mavericks VS Boston Celtics 2024 NBA Finals match-up. Luka VS KP. Kyrie VS Celtics fans. Must see TV

  5. Miami got away with so many grabs, hacks and holds that were uncalled. cant believe JT didnt get a single FT until the end of the game. The BAM punch to KPs groin was also uncalled. miami is a dirty team. whatever duncan got was deserved.

  6. And Bam Bam trying to shove KP’s nuts into his stomach is not considered dirty only cause that’s they’re intellect on how to play ball.

  7. Duncan should have dropped his arm after that whistle. He knew what he was doing forreal . He was baiting Jaylen and got his arm yanked. He won’t do that shit to anyone again period

  8. Honestly I like the Celtics and JB too. And the rivalry is great. But this was kinda dirty – dude’s elbow could have been dislocated. The intension was fair but you gotta stand your ground like you've done it before… no need to spaz out.

  9. Except Duncan just had his arm outstretched, no motion whatsoever. Jaylen trying to fish for a call and when he didnt get it, got frustrated and hooked his arm and yanked Duncan's stationary arm, trying to dislocate the man's arm and take his livelihood.

  10. I like J Brown alot. I think Duncan Robinson is overrated and lucky to be in a rotation. He's a G league/ minimum contract player at best. He makes the same money as OG Anunoby, for example, a player who is better in every possible way and is also a good 3 point shooter.

That said, JB got away with one. That was lowkey the dirtiest play I've seen in at least 10 years, probably ever. People comparing regular physical basketball to trying to rip a guy's arm out the socket are wild.

JB chose the right one to bully, apparently. Duncan should have put hands on JB, no doubt.

  11. All these comments have me lol And yet y'all cry every yr after not doing ish in the Playoffs and get bounced by us every yr🗑 😂😂😂🤡s 🔥>🍀

  12. Whatever Duncan Robinson was tryna do didn’t include tryna injure u. U soft JB.. u grabbed his arm and tangled it tryna draw the foul.. he raised his hands to show it was u not him and then u did that dirty play. Stop the cap.

  13. Love the Miami beef. Tatum had the funniest comment “we knew it would be tough after the last time we came down here and smacked them” 😂

  14. Boston Celtics bunch of flops will never get it done with all the talent they have. We're going to be looking at this team in 10 years time and realize out JB and JT could never get it done together 😂😂😂

  15. All these Boston fans are such losers! jb literally has nightmares of coming to Miami! Jimmy is jb and jt father! See y’all in the playoffs, can’t wait to see y’all choke once again 😂🫵🏼

  16. Celts need to get tough. Those Celtics teams of the 80’s stuck together. Would like to see this group stand together as one.

  17. Miami is known for being dirty “is a funny statement but just leave like that we make sure we go the one before the final because yellow is the base color to get green 🙌

  18. Insane that you people are cheering an attempt to end a man's season or even career. Miami dirty? Where? You should be ashamed of yourselves.
