“The Nuggets lost back-to-back games for the first time since a three-game losing streak in early December.

Here are three takeaways from Denver’s 112-95 loss Monday in Milwaukee.

    1. The Nuggets appear to need the all-star break from both a physical and mental standpoint. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope returned from a hamstring issue but lasted fewer than 10 minutes before sitting the rest of the game. To make matters worse, Jamal Murray didn’t play after halftime due to bilateral tibia inflammation. Neither played particularly well in their brief stints. Murray made just one of his five shots, while Caldwell-Pope missed all three of his attempts. With Wednesday’s game separating Denver from a week off, it seems wise to give Murray and Caldwell-Pope head starts on the break, allowing them to be fully healthy for the final 27 games of the season.”
