  1. PNW is now Pacific Nickeil (Alexander) Walker. Sorry Portland, dem the rules

i weirdly loved this game. We are genuinely learning from the mistakes of the last bad stretch of games. Ant was outstanding along with Rudy on D. KAT didn’t force things and even got to rest in the 4th. But obviously NAW takes the game ball – incredible shooting and so nice for him to get some big time recognition for his insane contribution this year. The fact we have him on this contract is an absolute game changer.

  3. Can’t believe we got NAW as filler in the Conley trade

  4. ChipThaBlackBoy

NAW’s 4th quarter was incredible and ended the game so damn quickly.

  5. Ant has just turned into an unstoppable scorer.

  6. Wolves have clinched the 1 seed heading to the all star break

Here are some of my thoughts on this game, as a Blazers fan:

    * When Edwards has it going like this, heā€™s legitimately unguardable. That left handed floater he pulled off is something I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever seen before, lol.
    * Speaking of donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever seen before, did anyone see Kyle Anderson shoot that left handed three pointer after the whistle? It almost looks cleaner than his real form.
    * I also donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever seen NAW get this hot in my life either. Good for him ā€“ heā€™s really worked hard on his shot consistency since coming to the Wolves and has turned himself into a really nice rotation player. That Conley trade is looking better and better every day for this franchise.
    * I know McDaniels gets a ton of flak from this subreddit and Twitter (and some of it rightly so), but when heā€™s locked in defensively there really is no better perimeter defender than him and the last few games really shows it too. Heā€™s just such a menace with his length and ability to fight through screens, and his help-side anticipation (when heā€™s not making boneheaded plays or committing stupid fouls). The box score won’t show it at all with his 0 points on like 0-6 shooting and 2 rebounds but he really was a huge factor defensively.
    * Weird game for KAT who got taken out of the game with early foul trouble and never really found a rhythm offensively. It felt like the Blazers were determined to force the ball out of his hands every time he caught it inside the arc or with a mismatch, and he never really looked completely comfortable (although I will say that wings who are strong enough not to get bullied, but laterally quick enough to slide with KAT and take charges are his kryptonite, and the Blazers have three of them in Grant, Toumani Camara, and Jabari Walker).
    * I donā€™t really like what I see from Monte Morris. I know itā€™s early and he doesnā€™t have chemistry with the rest of the team, but he looks a step slow to me, almost like he isnā€™t fully recovered from the injury that was holding him out from the beginning of this season. Obviously itā€™s still early, but so far in the minutes heā€™s played I donā€™t think heā€™s really looked any better than little J-Mac (especially how J-Mac has been playing in the last ~10 games or so).

  8. Itā€™s been a long day for me, this win was really needed. Happy the team could pull through and get the dub!

Have to take the rest of Feb serious. Ā OKC is on an easy stretch and likely will take care of business. Ā The west will go down to the last week, but to be in it we have to win games like thisĀ

  10. All NAW does is play elite defense every night and consistently make clutch plays. Maybe the best throw in in the history of throw ins

  11. I think we can agree that of the cousins, NAW is superior to SGA.

  12. No-Strawberry7814

When Ant takes opposing guards in the post and plays that patient, bully ball game. He is gonna be a 30/6/6 guy by next year. Sounds bonkers

  13. le_sweden

Itā€™s time to start beating the drum for NAW 6MOTY. I get that he would have an uphill battle to winning due to not having the gaudy offensive numbers some others do but he is so clutch on offense, can handle and pass, and represents everything that makes the ā€˜23-ā€˜24 Wolves a special and elite defense.

I said yesterday he was my favorite Timberwolf and itā€™s never been truer than right now

  14. Naw with the fire extinguisher 3 pointers. He shut the crowd up and took the game over. Stellar passing tonight.

Submitting a formal apology to Kyle “+29” Anderson. NAW deserves more minutes. Ant deserves MVP recognition.

This team deserves a lot of credit for their resilience on the second night of a road back to back. We’ll always have a target on our back against inferior opponents, and we knocked Portland out after they punched us in the mouth.

  16. Ant-Man_01

I canā€™t be the only one thinking about getting a NAW jersey after this game šŸ˜‚ was lowkey thinking about getting one two weeks ago but was like nah I need to get classic Ant first

  17. LeeChangIsBae2

I can’t believe NAW was a salary dump in the D’Lo/Conley trade.

  18. Just in case anybody wants to freak out about how close we kept it for most of that second half: yesterday the Mavs trailed the Wizards by about 8 for two straight quarters before taking over with about 5 minutes left in the 4th. The day before that the Clippers did the exact same thing with the Pistons.

Itā€™s game 2 of an away back-to-back, we werenā€™t at our sharpest. Good teams can leave bad teams in it for a while and still be good teams; taking care of business at the end is what matters most, and we did exactly that (thank you NAW)

  19. savesthedashboard

Rudy is playing crazy minutes. Glad he gets some rest for the asb.

  20. anupsidedownpotato

AROD got his arm around ant like a proud dad

  21. pottedpottedplant

What caused the contagious laughter between play-by-play (Michael Grady) and color analyst (Jim Peterson) in the 3rd quarter?

They wouldn’t elaborate on it but it looked like something Edwards said regarding a ref. I was so curious!

  22. HUMMEL_at_the_5_4eva

team high blocks for Mike Conley, as expected

  23. WhileDizzy4503

Iā€™m a Bucks fan so whenever I get tired of watching no defense I watch Wolves games.

Fun stuff. Fun team. Wolves-Bucks finals would be great but Iā€™m terrified of Ant.
