Last night I was in a thread about the Great Lakes and someone brought up salmon which eventually lead me to finding [this article](https://www.jsonline.com/in-depth/archives/2021/09/02/biologists-dream-great-lakes-came-true-when-salmon-brought/8101503002/) which was really interesting. If you want to learn about why there is salmon in the great lakes, balancing a fishery with ecological concerns, and dealing with waves of invasive species, it’s a pretty good read, albeit long.

Update on that guy they fired for lying about his prison time for murder. Turns out company didn’t do background check. Just decided to hire without checking. But he was going around bragging that he slit someone’s throat and only did a year of prison. So people told the right people who made it to HR and they fired him. Especially after they asked him if he was convicted of murder and he said no, then they did the check lol. He lied knowing everyone who searches his name will see his very long list of drug crimes and then the obvious murder charge.
