Wouldnāt be that different. Our issues go way beyond DJ and Donovan wouldnāt cover them up

Donovan is an actual 2, not a shooting guard with a weird amalgamation of PG skills like DJM is, so it would have worked better. He doesn’t solve our issues with defense though which is a way more pressing concern, Cavs are elite because they have multiple good defenders around Mitchell including Mobley and Allen
Hmm. So letās see. If they traded for him, he would be a much better complement to Trae. He can actually play off ball and is much better at playing point. He can score better than Murray and is a better shooter. And heās like twice the defender Murray is. You get the steals of Murray, but then get more pass deflections and way better team defense. So I would say a 5-7 seed assuming they give up a like package for him. Which is two more picks and real players.
But knowing Ainge, he would have wanted Jalen. So that would be a tough pill to swallow.
