Artis Gilmore, Horace Grant, and Joakim Noah come first.

Rodman and Grant should be retired IMO. Massive parts of each repeat.
Kukoc not so much.

No and no. Great players but no

Rodman yes. I understand he didn’t play for Chicago for super long but still

I say retire 91 and 13

Kukoc was more important to the league than people realize. The best European player of that time. He had a good career with the bulls even though he was older and put behind players. He really kicked opened the door Drazen petrovic unlocked. (If Drazen didn’t die he was headed towards being great) nowitski, giannis, jokic ect,ect all owe this guy some gratitude. The league should recognize the early foreign stars but I’m not sure he meets the requirements to have his jersey retired. He might get closer to me than Rodman but that’s something I’d have to think about a bit

I’d do Noah and Rodman.

You can’t do Rodman without doing Grant, imo.

Rodman for sure
SmolWorldBigUniverse
Rodman has only been here 3 seasons, as a crucial roleplayer on the second threepeat. Kukoc, 7 years but with a less crucial role in the chips.
But we might aswell retire Horace Grants number before Rodman or Kukoc. We drafted Grant, build him into an Allstar and he was more crucial for the first threepeat (overcome the Celtics, Pistons ans Showtime Lakers eras) on a shorter roster.
Rodman and Kukoc have not been AllStars in Chicago, even though both had Hall of Fame careers and honors…but if I would be the Bulls I only would consider Grants number to be retired now. Grant is kind of forgotten but he was a Star back then. Rodman now gets celebrated but back then everybody was having it with his fame. The Last Dance isnt giving a fair look on it. Thats how you could debate those cases. So would you be cool with Grant getting up there without having to put it into perspective?
Whats obvious is, the Bulls dont retire numbers easy. And you cant just start to retire numbers from the 90s suddenly – we are not the Magic who never won something and therefor now start to retire Shaqs…
We just retire our biggest Icons and Winners. I think we should hang a banner for Phil Jackson, and I want him to witness that. Everybody else is kind of “yeah, but…”. Same for Rose or Noah.
