Jazz Trade Simone Fontecchio To Pistons For Kevin Knox, A Pick & Gabriele Procida

Jazz Trade Simone Fontecchio To Pistons For Kevin Knox, A Pick & Gabriele Procida

Yo what’s going on guys and today we’re talking about Simone fono was traded for a 2024 second round pick Kevin Knox and the draft rights to Gabriel pra if you guys don’t know who Gabriel proa oh baby they just basically traded one Italian for another Italian all right so Gabriel

POA is like an Italian who’s a 40% three-point shooter it’s like flashes that he could be one and has 40in vertical Simone fono obviously we were hoping he goes to the Suns of Celtics he’s ended up the Detroit Detroit technically could reroute him if they

Want to but they get a guy that is a solid solid shooter at 6′ n he’s from my hometown well my father’s hometown of piscata Italy and man I’ve always been a fan of his i’ I’ve Loved when he came over to the the league I thought I felt

Like he was a guy who had the capability of being you know a a solid player as for me I think Simone fonio he’s shown flashes where he can be a guy who can put up buckets and he can play he’s a combo forward he can play the the small

Forward power forward cuz he’s 6’10 he’s got a high release Point his offensive game is kind of similar to danil galari except you know basically like a younger version of it where he has a high release Point can hit the three but defensively he’s way more willing like I

Love Simone fono and I think personally that this is a great move on the the Troy pistol as it’s dude Kevin Knox can’t catch a break with the Pistons Watch the watch him get cut and he goes back but yeah I think definitely when you look at how

This has played out I think for the Detroit Pistons they went ahead and they got themselves a shooter which they’ve desperately needed shooting this is a team that look they they have struggled from deep and the all if you guys have not noticed all the moves that they’ve

Made so far have been to address their their three-point shooting okay all these moves basically address their terrible floor spacing which was created by the Log Jam that they have of non-shooters on this team so for me I think it makes sense I think the the everybody involved it’s kind of a

Win-win situation and obviously I think for some people you’re going to argue like okay maybe they should have like I think they I think Simone either is going to get ret traded again or they just really wanted to get more shooting on this team I I just have this weird

Feeling that this is because they’re going to they know that he was going to be a guy that people really wanted and yeah so for me I thought that’s that was what made sense to me is like okay what if this is like some sort of Ploy for

Them to be able to you know flip them flip him again to a contending team that desperately wanted to acquire him that’s that was my original thought of yeah okay this kind of makes sense if if it’s part of a bigger move so for me I think

Simone fono if he does stay I hopefully he gets a Payday after in free agency cuz he’s going to be a guy who’s going to show that he can be really really solid for a team especially when he gets minutes I mean the Utah Jazz when they

Signed him said he was the best free agent available last year when they signed CU everyone was like who the heck is this guy so for me I do think it’s it’s interesting to see how it’s played out and I’m excited okay I’m excited to see who’s going to end

Up getting Simone fono if he’s traded again but let me hear your thoughts

The Utah Jazz are trading Simone Fonteccio to the Detroit Pistons for a 2024 second-round pick, sources tell ESPN. Kevin Knox, 2024 second-round pick via Wizards and draft rights to Gabriele Procida to go Jazz in deal, sources tell ESPN. Fontecchio will be a restricted free agent this summer and Pistons made trade to keep him as part of franchise’s longer-term core. Fontecchio had a lot of suitors at trade deadline — and Pistons land him for an early second-round pick and draft rights to Procida.

  1. You have been my go-to source for trade deadline news. Just wanted to say thanks for making these videos!

Simone's a great hustle guy in addition to being a solid shooter and defender. Gonna miss him in Utah. Hopefully this is the precursor to a bigger trade.

  2. If it's not a bigger move, I really don't get Jazz point of view for this. Getting only 2nd round is really bad trade and Kevin Knox really don't see him being any better and weaker player than Simone was for Jazz. So what is Ainge cooking here…this must be some kind of twisted 3-4 team deal that will happen tomorrow.

  3. Feel bad sending Simone to Detroit. Dude is a good part of a foundational piece. Hope my jazz can make something of these trades.

  4. Don't forget that they got Gabriele Procida. Looks solid already, overseas. Knox is a decent pickup. We'll see what Coach Hardy's staff can do with him. Plus, an early second pick is basically a late first round pick. It's about as good as you can hope for in today's market.

  5. bummer. need to look up this GABRIELE PROCIDA guy. knox is a guy who will go to g-league i think and give space for Hendricks in the jazz line-up. plus a second-round pick. I see what jazz gained from this trade, i'm not sure i understand what pistons try to do. avoid breaking losing record?
this also might means that Olynyk stays in Utah minimum till the end of the season.

  6. that 2nd round pick that the Pistons are giving the Jazz, is that a Detroit pick or does it originate from another team? If it’s a Detroit pick, I don’t see the point of doing this trade for Detroit because that pick is basically a late 1st
